(AP) Norwegian-Somali was a model soldier with Norwegian friends.So he traveled to Somalia to fight for Allah.

1984: Norwegian-Somali born in Burao in northern Somalia, today part of Somaliland.
1994: when ten year old boy coming to Norway together with other relatives.
2005: After finishing high school is doing Norwegian-Somali military service of His Majesty the King’s Guard. There he becomes a part of the escort department that will carry the royal family and other social supports to safety in case of war.
2006. Norwegian-Somali then gets a job at Securitas after having completed their military service.
2009: He comes in contact with a religious environment with connections to Sweden and Finland.
2010: Norwegian-Somali calling home to his father and says that he has joined the Shabaab in Somalia.
2011: Norwegian-Somali’s unknown wife calls and says that his son has died in battle.The two had no children.

Without notifying the family or friends, traveled Norwegian-Somali to Somalia and joined the terrorist organization al-Shabaab.

The startling information appears in an unpublished report by the Defence Research Establishment (FFI) that AP has access to.The report is authored by Stig Jarle Hansen, a world leader in Somalia experts.

Pst confirmed to AP that the former soldier in His Majesty the King’s Guard was killed in combat in March of this year.

– PST knows that the person earlier this year were killed in fighting in Somalia. There is reason to wonder why a seemingly well-integrated Norwegian citizen traveling to Somalia to join a terrorist organization, says communications director Trond Hugubakken the Police Security Service (PST).

27-year-old is the first known Norwegian citizen who has been killed in fighting for a terrorist organization. He died in March this year, allegedly in a battle with Somali government forces.

In 2005 and 2006 he served with the military service of His Majesty the King’s Guard.

– We have the media been informed that a named civilian has been killed in Somalia. We are also aware that he – like many others – have completed their military service in the Armed Forces a few years back, said Lt. Col. Bent-Ivan Myhre spokesman of the Armed Forces.

It’s Official: Obama Administration Promotes Islamist Regimes; Insists They are Moderate

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s speech justifying Obama Administration Middle East policy changes everything. True, it isn’t surprising. I’ve been writing for almost three years about how the current U.S. government thinks these things.

Do not underestimate this speech’s importance. It isn’t a reluctant acceptance that Islamists might win elections and take over coutries. It is an enthusiastic endorsement of that idea.

But now there can be no doubt that Obama’s Middle East policy is engaged in what might be the biggest blunder in the history of U.S. foreign policy. Millions of people will bemoan it as delivering their countries into the grip of repressive dictatorships.

The speech can be summarized as follows:

Islamist regimes—at least those whose “behavior” is proper–are good. If Islamists exercise political power they will be moderate. Thus, the United States will not merely tolerate but will actually support Islamists taking power.

The Obama Administration is now on the side of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hizballah, and the Taliban (“moderate” wing). It is the equivalent of an American government telling you that Communism and fascism are no threat because they can be tamed by participating in elections and being in power.

Thus, the Obama Administration has openly sided with Israel’s enemies. I don’t mean the Palestinian Authority (PA) or Saudi Arabia. That would be tolerable. We’re talking here about openly genocidal, antisemitic groups.

It has also sided with the enemies of the PA, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. It has sided with the enemies of democratic forces in Iran, Syria, Turkey, and Lebanon. Indeed, the U.S. government is working to empower the most dangerous enemies of democracy in the Middle East.

What’s especially remarkable is that this strategy is based on no evidence. All Clinton can cite is a single case—Turkey—that proves the exact opposite of what the Obama Administration claims.

Here are five examples on the other side:

–The Oslo peace process was based on the belief that the radical nationalist PLO would be moderated by being given power, guns, and money. Has the result been peace and moderation?

–The U.S. government favored the participation of Hamas in the Palestinian election. It won and then staged a coup. Today Gaza is ruled by a radical regime that foments war on Israel and openly proclaims its intention to commit genocide on Jews.

–Hizballah participated in the Lebanese elections, won, and while it cannot institute a Shia Islamist regime in a country where 70 percent aren’t Shia Muslims and its opponents are armed, it is doing all it can to make that country a dictatorship that will attack Israel when it thinks the timing is right.

–In Egypt, we have seen the descent into anarchy and violence; the persecution of Christians, the unleashing of fanaticism. Where is the debate in the Muslim Brotherhood to indicate moderation? Where is the renunciation of past extremism? Where is the reinterpretation of Islamic texts to justify a totally different worldview? These things don’t exist.

–Turkey, the great role model, is seeing democracy wane as the Islamists arrest their enemies, take over the media, and adopt an anti-Western foreign policy that backs radical Islamists elsewhere.

March of folly indeed. This is a sprint.

Mum of nine-year-old suicide bomber arrested in Iraq

IRAQI security forces have arrested a woman whose boyfriend convinced her to send her little boy on a suicide mission and then failed to stop the attack after she had a change of heart.

Sunni widow Suad al-Obaidi, 47, was arrested on Friday along with her allegedly al-Qaeda boyfriend, a Diyala police officer said.

She was arrested in Diyala province, while the boyfriend, Hamid Alwan, 53, was detained in Baghdad.

According to the officer, Alwan convinced Obaidi to send nine-year-old Murtada Latif Kadhem to bomb a Shi’ite mosque in Khales, north of Baghdad, several years ago.

Alwan “took her son with her … by car to the Shi’ite mosque but, on the way there, she started to cry about her son,” the officer said.

“He put her out of the car, and took the son, who was wearing an explosive belt, to the mosque, where he blew himself up.”

Security officials said the December 29, 2006 attack killed at least nine people, including the imam of the mosque, and wounded at least eight.

The killer of schoolgirl Milly Dowler has changed his name and is converting to Islam in jail, it has been claimed.

Levi Bellfield, 43, has changed his name to Mohammed, only eats halal meat and prays to Allah five times a day at Wakefield Prison.

The triple murderer is serving a second whole life sentence at the prison for killing Milly, 13, at Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, in March 2002.

He was already in jail for murdering Marsha McDonnell, 19, in 2003 and Amelie Delagrange, 22, as well as attempting to murder Kate Sheedy, 18, in 2004.

Staff at Wakefield Prison believe Bellfield has only changed his faith to gain special treatment at the jail, and because he is concerned about his security.

It is also thought he may have made the lifestyle change to impress the Muslim extremists who have given him a hard time while he been incarcerated there.

A prison insider told the Daily Mirror: ‘His diet must be cooked to halal guidelines. It is generally accepted the food is better.

IRANIAN CHRISTIAN PASTOR NADARKHANI GIVEN THREE CHANCES TO ‘REVERT’ BACK TO ISLAM OR ELSE

He also refused to answer the TT’s question of why the Iranian regime arrested him in the first place. He also denies the Fox report embedded in the following JPost article that he’s been given books against Christianity and has been hounded to revert back to Islam or face death.

We know the likelihood of an Iranian official telling the truth is slim next to none, but the questions have to be posed and hopefully the pressure will produce the wanted result. This man can’t be left to fend for his life alone, he needs help. So, the TT is asking its readers to phone the embassy, especially you SKYPE users, to enquire about Youcef Nadarkhani’s welfare. UPDATE: The Iranian embassy emails the TT back and states that:

“He is guilty of security-related crimes, the issue of crime and of capital punishment of this individual is not related to his faith or religion. He (Nadarkhani) is a Zionist, a traitor, and has committed several violent crimes, including repeated rape and extortion.”

So there you have it, straight from the totalitarian regime’s spokesman in Helsinki.

Iran’s security officials recently delivered a book on Islam to Nadarkhani, Fox News says; he is in prison Rasht on the Caspian Sea coast.

Iran’s government and security apparatus have ratcheted up the pressure on Evangelical pastor Youcef Nadarkhani to convert to Islam or face execution, Fox News reported on Saturday.Youcef Nadarkhani, now 34, was arrested in 2009 for questioning the compulsory Islamic education of his children and for seeking to register a home-based church. He was sentenced to death in 2010.Iran’s security officials recently delivered a book on Islam to Nadarkhani, Fox News said. He is in prison Rasht on the Caspian Sea coast.

The Iranian officials told “him they would be back to discuss the material and hear his opinion,” according to the report.

Fox News wrote that it secured “a digital copy of the book given to Nadarkhani, a 300-page compilation entitled Beshaarat-eh Ahdein, meaning ‘Message of the Two Eras,’ referring to the New and Old Testaments. Through various narratives, the book claims Christianity is a fabrication and attempts to establish the superiority of Islam.”Parsons said it “needs to be a priority to hold the Iranian regime accountable.Governments, even Muslim governments, should not be allowing this. How can anyone find this acceptable this day?” Present Truth Ministries has campaigned since 2009 for Nadarkhani’s release and works to help persecuted Christians in the Middle East. “We cannot wait another moment, we have to contact our elected officials,” the USbased organization urges on its website in connection with Nadarkhani.

Dr. Wahied Wahdat-Hagh, an authority on minority groups in the Islamic Republic of Iran, told the Post by phone from Berlin on Sunday that the book given to Nadarkhani, Beshaarat-eh Ahdein, is “religious indoctrination.”

Demands tax reduction from remittances

Many immigrants send money to their country of origin. Until the year 2001 this was tax deductible.

Norwegian-Somalians send money to family and friends who desperately need support. The State should see the value in this and reintroduce tax deductions, says Bashe Musse (Ap (Labour)).

Bashe Musse is a member of the city council of Oslo and a representative of the Oslo Labour Party. He explains that it used to be possible to get a tax exemption from remittances, but that this exemption was removed in 2001.

– This is very sad. Many Somalian tax payers are hurt by this. They send money home to family and friends desperately in need of support because they are victims of conflict, natural disasters and hunger. ,The money is spent on everything from medicine, food and education, Musse says.

He thinks a tax deduction of money sent to people’s home country would make the lives of many citizens of Oslo easier.

– Tax exemption of remittances would help many families and children living on the edge of the poverty line in Oslo, says Musse.

– The sum total remitted by immigrants to their home countries far exceeds the total of money collected by the various charity organisations, according to Jørgen Carling, researcher at the Institute for Peace Studies (Prio).

But the fact that migrants send money to their country of origin doesn’t necessarily mean that they contribute to building the country. The money is spent in various ways.

Goldstone Condemns False Apartheid Analogy

Writes in The New York Times: “In Israel, there is no apartheid”

JERUSALEM – In a continued departure from the inflammatory language and false accusations in the Goldstone Report on the Gaza war, Judge Richard Goldstone today in The New York Times declared, “In Israel, there is no apartheid.” His op-ed article is a direct refutation of the campaigns conducted by a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that have used the Goldstone Report to promote boycotts, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) and to demonize Israel, says Jerusalem-based research institution NGO Monitor.

“This is a powerful condemnation of the exploitation of the bitter experience of the victims of South African apartheid for use in immoral attacks against Israel,” says Prof. Gerald Steinberg, president of NGO Monitor. “Those who invoke this false analogy to advance BDS, lawfare, and other forms of political warfare against Israel, have been named and shamed by the former South African judge who helped end apartheid and who was also critical of Israeli policies. This is a fatal blow to the BDS movement and the apartheid analogy.”

Goldstone notes that “while ‘apartheid’ can have broader meaning, its use is meant to evoke the situation in pre-1994 South Africa. It is an unfair and inaccurate slander against Israel, calculated to retard rather than advance peace negotiations.”

“NGO superpowers like Human Rights Watch (HRW) and Amnesty International, along with smaller NGOs like Al Haq and Adalah – many of which receive funding from the New Israel Fund (NIF) and European governments – have been central in spreading this false apartheid analogy,” Steinberg adds. “HRW’s Ken Roth was a key figure in orchestrating the Goldstone Report on Gaza – like this report, Roth is now completely discredited. Similarly, Goldstone’s words answer B’Tselem’s Jessica Montell, who has offensively stated that ‘In some cases, the situation in the West Bank is worse than apartheid in South Africa.’ She, along with the hundreds of other NGO representatives that have demonized Israel through the Durban strategy, are now exposed for their rhetoric that contributes to hatred and stands in sharp contrast to the moral foundations of universal human rights.

In Israel, there is no apartheid. Nothing there comes close to the definition of apartheid under the 1998 Rome Statute…

Israeli Arabs — 20 percent of Israel’s population — vote, have political parties and representatives in the Knesset and occupy positions of acclaim, including on its Supreme Court. Arab patients lie alongside Jewish patients in Israeli hospitals, receiving identical treatment.

South Africa’s enforced racial separation was intended to permanently benefit the white minority, to the detriment of other races. By contrast, Israel has agreed in concept to the existence of a Palestinian state in Gaza and almost all of the West Bank, and is calling for the Palestinians to negotiate the parameters.

The mutual recognition and protection of the human dignity of all people is indispensable to bringing an end to hatred and anger. The charge that Israel is an apartheid state is a false and malicious one that precludes, rather than promotes, peace and harmony.

Goldstone also notes the upcoming Russell Tribunal on Palestine (RToP), scheduled for this Saturday in Cape Town, as a vehicle spreading the false apartheid analogy. As he explains, “It is not a ‘tribunal.’ The ‘evidence’ is going to be one-sided and the members of the ‘jury’ are critics whose harsh views of Israel are well known.”

To explain the structure of the “tribunal,” the key figures involved, and the political objectives that motivate them, NGO Monitor has launched the website www.russelltribunal.org

“The RToP is being used to wage political war against and to demonize Israel,” adds Steinberg. “This is the exact strategy outlined by NGOs at the infamous 2001 UN Conference against Racism, held in Durban. Ironically, it is an actual Judge – Goldstone himself – who delivers a strong ‘verdict’ before the ‘tribunal’ even begins.”

New suspected nuclear complex exposed in Syria

UN investigators have identified a previously unknown complex in Syria that bolsters suspicions that the Syrian government worked with A.Q. Khan, the father of Pakistan’s atomic bomb, to acquire technology that could be used to make nuclear arms.

The buildings in northwest Syria closely match the design of a uranium enrichment plant provided to Libya when Moammar Gaddafi was trying to build nuclear weapons under Khan’s guidance, officials told The Associated Press.

MAYOR OF PARIS FILES COMPLAINT AGAINST CHRISTIAN PROTESTORS OF SUPPOSED ART BLASPHEMY

There a couple of different issues here that needs to be addressed. One revolves around the states funding of the arts with taxpayers money, in which these Christians are having their tax euros absconded with to fund art that they themselves would never have funded if given the choice.

The second issue is how the state deals two sets of hands, one for the Muslims and the other for everyone else. If this were a bunch of mustards hooting and hollering their lungs out over some alleged violation of their religious rites, they wouldn’t be chased off for just protesting outside a venue.

That said, if indeed the show is funded with private money (highly unlikely) than those protesting should plain pick up and leave and not make a spectacle of themselves. KGS

Terrorism questions lead to boycott of airport

A BUSINESSMAN said he has stopped flying from Glasgow Airport because of the number of times he has been stopped and questioned by the police under powers designed to crack down on terrorism.

Mohammad Ashraf, chairman of wholesaler Bonanza, now flies from airports in England to avoid the “insult and embarrassment” of being pulled out of the queue and made to answer questions about his travel plans.

He said other members of the Asian business community had experienced similar “harassment” and were considering a similar boycott of the airport.

Police at Glasgow have come in for criticism for their use of Schedule Seven anti-terrorism powers, detailed in the Terrorism Act 2000, giving officers the right to stop and question airline passengers. It has been claimed officers use racial profiling when selecting people, overwhelmingly picking out travellers of Asian and Middle Eastern appearance.

Now Mr Ashraf has said he and his colleagues are fed up with being targeted and arrange to travel through airports where they are not singled out.

He said: “I’ve lost count of the times it has happened there, so I fly through Manchester or London when I have to travel internationally and I am never stopped at those airports.

“It’s hugely embarrassing and insulting when it happens. You are pulled to one side in front of everybody and asked all sorts of stupid and intrusive questions about where you have been and what you have been doing.”

(Reuters) – Israeli forces attacked an Islamic Jihad camp in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday, killing a commander of the Palestinian faction and four other militants, officials on both sides said.

The strike in Rafah, a town on Gaza’s border with Egypt, followed a Palestinian rocket salvo on Thursday which landed deep in Israel but caused no casualties.

Islamic Jihad said an explosion in the training camp killed Ahmed al-Sheikh Khalil, a munitions expert and one of its top commanders, as well as four comrades. An Islamic Jihad source said the dead may include senior figures other than Khalil.

“Those targeted were a group of leaders,” the source said.

TERROR IN BOSNIA, GUNMAN FIRES UPON US EMBASSY

Bosnian television identified the man, bearded and carrying a Kalashnikov assault rifle, as 23-year-old Mevlid Jasarevic, a Serbian citizen from the mainly Muslim town of Novi Pazar.

It said he had been visiting a community of hardline Islamists in northern Bosnia. A Reuters photograph of the gunman showed a tall man with a brown coat and a long beard.

Bosnia, which was torn apart by war between Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslim), Croats and Serbs in 1992-95 as Yugoslavia collapsed, is considered a strong ally of the United States in the turbulent Balkans.

Bakir Izetbegovic, the Muslim member of Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, condemned the attack, saying the United States was a “proven friend” of Bosnia.

“The American government and people have supported us in the most difficult moments of our history, and nobody has the right to endanger the friendly relations between our two countries,” he said in a statement.

A police spokesman said the gunman had been taken to hospital for treatment but that his injuries were not life-threatening. A hospital spokeswoman said a man had been admitted under police escort with gunshot wounds to his upper leg.

“The doctors are conducting a medical intervention and the man is expected to be escorted from hospital by the police in next two to three hours,” said spokeswoman Biljana Jandric.

Embassy officials said the building had gone into “lockdown” during the assault, and no one in the embassy had been hurt.

Police spokesman Irfan Nefic said one police officer had been seriously wounded. He said police believed the gunman had acted alone, but that the investigation would reveal more.

The U.S. embassy in Sarajevo, a mainly Muslim city, closed briefly in March 2002 citing an unspecified threat, but the building has not come under attack before.
