“Preachers at the Luton Islamic Centre told last week how they had tackled Taimour Abdulwahab al-Abdaly, 28, the suicide bomber who blew himself up in Stockholm last weekend, over his extremist views. However, the centre’s website carries a link to a lecture by Dr Bilal Philips, a Muslim preacher who was barred from entering Britain by the home secretary in July because of his extremist views….

“His previous speeches include claims that there is no such thing as rape in marriage and that the death penalty is an option for punishing homosexuals and adulterers. The preacher was banned from Australia in 2007 over his “support for extremist Islamic positions” and has, in the past, admitted he is on the US blacklist that bans extremists.”

A teacher at the Institute Menéndez Tolosa in the city of La Línea de la Concepcion has been denounced by a Muslim family in the same city. The family believes that its son, a student in first year of secondary school, was offended during a geography class, it was reported to this newspaper.

The teacher was giving a normal lesson about the different climates on our planet, and he used the locality of Trevélez [Granada] as example of a cold and dry climate. For an anecdote, the teacher explained that precisely this climate was best for the curing of hams. Then the student demanded of the teacher, “Don’t speak about hams,” because this subject was offensive for him as he is a Muslim.

This paper’s sources at the center explained that the teacher answered him that it was “simply an example and that in his classes he doesn’t bear in mind the religion that his students practise.”’

This might have remained simply an exchange of opinions, but the family of the minor, who never went to speak to the teacher, did not hesitate to file a complaint against the teacher with the National Police.

Though nobody contacted the teacher, apparently a relative of the minor went to the educational center to speak with the Director of Studies and to protest the example that the teacher had used in geography class.

The agents of the Court went yesterday to the secondary school and took an affidavit from the teacher with the facts about what happened during his class. In addition, the civil servants have requested the disciplinary and academic documentation of the minor in this educational center and in the previous one in which he was enrolled.

The teacher is accused of being an author of a supposed crime of mistreatment, and of having racist motivations and xenophobia.

The Provincial Delegation of the Council of Education also confirmed yesterday to this newspaper that it knew for certain that these facts had been produced, and that a teacher had been denounced to the National Police, but declined to elaborate any further.

Teachers and students are infuriated by this situation, because the teacher has taught with devotion for two decades now, and has never had a problem of this type. These accusations have affected him greatly.

In spite of going through a difficult moment, the teacher continues working at the center and he observes his obligation to his students

The State police have opened an investigation of these facts as denounced by the family of the minor, and it will be necessary to wait for the judicial authority to issue an opinion on whether the case “lacks merit” [a sort of tribunal with a judge].

More than 100 Arab Christians in Canada named on Al Qaida-affiliated website

VANCOUVER – More than 100 Canadian-Arab Christians are listed on an al-Qaida affiliated website, apparently targeted because of their alleged role in attempting to convert Muslims.

Some of those named say concerned Canadian intelligence officials have contacted them.

The Shumukh-al-Islam website, often considered to be al-Qaida’s mouth piece, listed pictures, addresses and cell phone numbers of Coptic Christians, predominantly Egyptian-Canadians, who have been vocal about their opposition to Islam.

In a forum on the website, one member named Son of a Sharp Sword, says “We are going to return back to Islam and all of the Mujahedeen (holy warriors) will cut off their heads.”

Three pages of the fundamentalist, Arabic-language website titled “Complete information on Coptics” sets to “identify and name all of the Coptics throughout the world who hope to defame Islam,” The website calls the Coptic Christians living abroad “dogs in diaspora,” a derogatory reference in Arabic. On the 11th of December 2010, the first-ever suicide bombing in Scandinavia occurred when Taimour Abdulwahab, an Iraqi-born Muslim and Swedish citizen with a wife and children in Luton, Britain, was carrying explosives and mistakenly set off an explosion near a busy Christmas shopping street in Stockholm just before he could murder dozens of people.

Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, who is a passionate promoter of having Turkey as a full member of the European Union and Islam as an established part of European culture, stated that “We were extremely lucky… I mean minutes and just a couple of hundred metres from where it would have been very catastrophic.” Sweden’s intelligence agency and a news agency received an email with audio files in which a man called on “all hidden mujahedeen [Islamic holy warriors] in Europe, and especially in Sweden, it is now the time to fight back.” He criticized Sweden for its military presence in Afghanistan and its acceptance of the artist Lars Vilks, who had made some cartoons mocking Muhammad. The message warned that “now your children, daughters and sisters die like our brothers’ and sisters’ children die.”

We’ve been told for years that suicide bombers who blow themselves up in civilian areas in Israel are “freedom fighters struggling against Israeli occupation.” Does that mean that this Muslim blew himself up to protest against the Swedish occupation of Stockholm?

Sweden has no colonial history, at least not outside of northern Europe. It is a self-appointed champion of Third World countries and has virtually surrendered its third-largest city to immigrant mobs and substantial chunks of other cities, too. Swedish authorities are using the most extreme methods imaginable to suppress any dissent among the native people, who are being ethnically cleansed from their own land. The authorities always side with immigrants against the natives in the case of conflict. Muslims in Sweden can harass the natives as much as they want to and have access to all kinds of welfare goodies and a much higher standard of living than they would have in their own countries. In short, they have no imaginable, rational reason to complain, yet they still blow themselves up.

In Sweden, all the traditional excuses employed by Multiculturalists and Leftists throughout the Western world, fail. This leaves just one possible explanation, the only one never mentioned in Western mainstream media: That Muslims and their culture are fundamentally incompatible with our values and societies. Telegraph: More than 330,000 copies of the diaries, accompanied by 51 pages of glossy information about the EU, have been delivered to British schools as a “sought after” Christmas gift to pupils from the commission.

But Christians have been angered because the diary section for December 25 is blank and the bottom of the page with Christmas Day is marked only with the secular message: “A true friend is someone who shares your concerns and will double your joy”.

While the euro calendar marks Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish and Chinese festivities as well as Europe Day and other key EU anniversaries, there are no Christian festivals marked, despite the fact Christianity is Europe’s majority religion.

12 arrested in anti-terror swoop

LONDON — Police on Monday arrested 12 men on suspicion of plotting an act of terrorism, swooping in major pre-dawn raids across the country.

The dozen, aged between 17 and 28, were detained “on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism in the UK,” police said in a statement.

Britain is on high alert after upgrading its perceived terror threat level earlier this year.

“This is a large-scale, pre-planned and intelligence-led operation involving several forces,” said Scotland Yard Assistant Commissioner John Yates, who is in charge of counter-terrorism policing.

“The operation is in its early stages so we are unable to go into detail at this time about the suspected offences. However, I believe it was necessary at this time to take action in order to ensure public safety.”

CAIRO (AP) – Egyptian authorities arrested four suspects on suspicion of spying for Israel and plotting to damage the economy by kidnapping tourists, a security official said.

The official revealed Sunday that the suspects, all Egyptian nationals, set up offices in Egypt, Britain, Israel, and Gaza to allegedly record officials’ phone conversations and collect information about Japanese and Chinese tourists visiting the Sinai Peninsula.

The plan, according to the official, was for agents of Israel to then briefly kidnap the tourists, disrupting the Egypt’s vital tourism sector and damaging the economy.

S. Korean military begins live-fire artillery drill near N. Korea

SEOUL, Dec. 20 (Yonhap) — South Korea on Monday fired artillery into waters near the western sea border with North Korea, an official said, amid Pyongyang’s threat to strike back if the drill goes ahead.

The drill began at around 2:30 p.m. from Yeonpyeong Island, with artillery rounds landing in a 40 kilometer-by-20 kilometer area south of the maritime border, an official at the South’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

F-15K fighter jets have scrambled and are on standby over the Yellow Sea, and about 10 naval ships, including an Aegis-equipped destroyer, have been deployed to the waters off the west coast, officials said.

“It won’t last long,” he said on condition of anonymity without providing details, such as how many artillery rounds were fired and whether North Korea shot back as it has warned.

North Korea used a similar firing exercise from the same island last month to justify launching a deadly artillery attack that killed four people, including two civilians, on the fishing village. It was the first time the North has shelled a civilian area since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War.

In the run-up to Monday’s drill, Pyongyang has warned that it will respond to the South’s artillery drill on Yeonpyeong Island with “unpredictable self-defensive blows,” sparking fears of a recurrence of last month’s deadly shelling.

Earlier in the day, officials said that the North’s military appeared to be making preparations for a counterattack, removing covers from coastal artillery guns and forward-deploying some artillery batteries, a military source said. Ahead of last month’s attack, the North had forward-deployed four artillery batteries and uncovered 14 coastal artillery guns.

“Our military would look into all possible countermeasures should North Korea provoke,” Seoul’s Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin said.

Israeli security forces have found the body of Christine Logan, a U.S. tourist believed to have been kidnapped Dec. 18 by Arab assailants while hiking with a friend near Jerusalem, Haaretz reported Dec. 19. Logan’s friend, a 46-year-old British immigrant named Kaye Susan Wilson, managed to escape the attackers by pretending to be dead after suffering multiple stab wounds. According to Wilson, she and Logan were hiking at Khirbet Hanut, near Beit Shemesh, when they were assaulted by two Arab men. Security forces, including Israel Defense Forces and border police troops, launched a manhunt for Logan shortly after Wilson reported the attack, and Shin Bet and the police are currently investigating the possible presence of terrorism cells in the area. The search for the assailants is ongoing.
