Wikileaks may be the earthquake that starts the avalanche
Wikileaks founder claims to be a peace activist. I suspect like most self proclaimed peace activists, he is very much for war but on the ‘other side’. Certainly this batch of leaks promises to do much more to accelerate a war than it does to help build good relations. I also can’t help but notice that there are no leaks from North Korea, Iran, The KSA-Saudi Arabia, or Pakistan, although I’m quite certain that revelations from Pakistan will be released if they have not been already.
In any case, this man should be tried for treason with a capitol punishment if found guilty in my humble opinion. What he has done will cost the lives of allies of the west, of freedom and of liberal democracy. Perhaps not a perfect system, but the best ever managed in the history of the world so far. Even so, it is interesting that so many Mid East leaders are calling for the elimination of the Iranian regime. It seems they are not squeamish about attacking, but most certainly are of Iran getting the bomb.
Interview with Benny Morris
Remember the fellow from the panel on Israel with the Islamic Brotherhood guy who actually made sense at the end? His name is Benny Morris and he was a leftist and former supporter of the Muslims and Palestinians who eventually let the facts run him over like a steam roller.
There are readers of vlad, one of whom put me on to this interview, who know much more about him than I do, and I hope will post what they know in the comments. Meanwhile, here is an interview with him from 2009 from England’s The Guardian.
Swiss vote yes on plebiscite to deport foreign criminals
It is amazing how rational the public can be if you just give them the chance to vote. The Swiss passed a resolution to deport foreigners who commit violent crimes etc, something that should be automatic in all countries and should not need a nationwide plebiscite, as soon as they had the chance to do it. Here is a video translated for us by Snaphanen.dk
Much more info from Gates of Vienna:
This time last year the Swiss pulled out ahead of the rest of Western Europe when they voted in favor of a ban on the building of new minarets. They followed it up today by approving a referendum that would force the deportation of all foreigners convicted of serious criminal offenses.
The oligarchy which runs Switzerland — like the oligarchies that administer all Western countries — was desperate to stop this initiative. They tried to lure voters into supporting a watered-down version, which would have recommended deportation, but left the final decision up to judges, who would evaluate each individual case on the merits.
Swiss voters, perhaps noticing what happens when things are left to the discretion of progressive-minded judges, did not take the bait, and 53% voted for the stronger version of the new law.
It’s worth noting that all major Christian denominations opposed the measure. Just as in Britain, Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands, organized Christianity seems consistently to act against the interests and welfare of the native population. The same is true of the major Protestant denominations in the United States, which are wholly in thrall to progressive trans-nationalism. Even the Vatican has in large part caved in to Multicultural orthodoxy.
Notice also that foreigners were reported to be overwhelmingly against the initiative. Well, DUH!
The media probably expect native white Europeans to feel guilty when they hear that the Swiss have offended their foreign guests with their “xenophobia”. But the vote didn’t affect me that way, and I strongly suspect that the majority of Europeans are not wallowing in guilt as called for by the script. Most people are probably thinking, “At last! A display of common sense!”
Here’s the report from Swissinfo:
Swiss Approve Foreign Criminal Initiative
The Swiss have voted to adopt tough new regulations on the deportation of foreigners convicted of serious crimes and welfare fraud.
Final results showed 53 per cent voting in favour of a rightwing initiative. The initiative also won the backing of 18 out of 26 cantons.
In a complex nationwide vote on Sunday, the electorate were faced with a choice between a hardline option and a compromise version; or approving or rejecting both proposals.
Turnout was higher than usual — at 52 per cent — a sign of how contentious were the issues being voted on.
The rightwing People’s Party initiative called for the automatic expulsion of non-Swiss offenders convicted of crimes ranging from murder to breaking and entry and social security fraud. The proposal denies judges judicial discretion over deportation.
An alternative option by parliament would have allowed for a case-by-case examination and additional integration measures.
Parliament’s counter-proposal was rejected by 54 per cent of voters, results showed.
An unofficial voting platform for migrants, Baloti, reported very different voting results: 85 per cent against the initiative, and 15 per cent for.

Israel WikiWatch
A Joint Jameel/JoeSettler headline post being updated over the next 12-24 hours.
This post will be updated as new Israel related Wikileaks updates (and related events) appear.
Wikileaks has announced they will begin posting documents today consisting of communications from the US to its embassies regarding its allies. For the past week, the US has been trying to do damage control. The US claims that the release of this information will “place at risk on-going cooperation between countries”.
Latest leaks and rumors on top.
5:15 PM Germany’s Der-Spiegel reports that the WikiLeaks contain information that the USA has an agent operating inside Germany’s government, from the liberal FDP party. (source)
5:06 PM Israel on “high alert” — “Another Israeli official added that the American Embassy in Tel Aviv had been calling Israelis named in the documents in order to warn them in advance. The list includes officials in the Foreign Ministry, as well as aides to prime ministers, this official said.” (JPost)
4:49 PM Speculations abound that the WikiLeaks will reveal that Israeli officials have been providing classified information to the USA in exchange for money (rotter.net)
4:42 PM The JPost reports the USA’s spin control:
The Obama administration on Sunday told whistle-blower WikiLeaks that its expected imminent release of classified State Department cables will put “countless” lives at risk, threaten global counter-terrorism operations and jeopardize US relations with its allies. [Jameel: by telling us what the State Department really thinks of Israel? We’ve been writing it on the muqata blog for years…]
In a highly unusual step reflecting the administration’s grave concerns about the ramifications of the move, the State Department released a letter from its top lawyer to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and his attorney telling them that publication of the documents would be illegal and demanding that they stop it.
The letter from State Department legal adviser Harold Koh was released as US diplomats around the world are scrambling to warn foreign governments about what might be in the secret documents that are believed to contain highly sensitive assessments about world leaders, their policies and America’s attempts to lobby them. [Jameel: The USA wants Tzippi Livni as Prime Minister? What a shock.]
In the letter, Koh said the publication of some 250,000 secret diplomatic cables by WikiLeaks, which is expected on Sunday, will “place at risk the lives of countless innocent individuals,” ”place at risk on-going military operations,” and “place at risk on-going cooperation between countries.”
“They were provided in violation of US law and without regard for the grave consequences of this action,” he said. Koh said WikiLeaks should not publish the documents, return them to the US government and destroy any copies it may have in its possession or in computer databases.
4:24 PM Washington specifically warns Israel of “potentially embarrassing” leaks (Breitbart) Rotter.net reports that the US has pulled CIA spy operatives out of Israel so that Israel can’t retaliate and imprison “Pollards” for spying on Israel for the USA.

WASHINGTON | Sat Nov 27, 2010 5:30pm EST
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States needs to be realistic about its efforts to engage Iran, whose leaders are lying about Tehran’s nuclear program and are on a path to building nuclear weapons, the top U.S. military officer said.
Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in comments released on Friday that the U.S. military has been thinking about military options on Iran “for a significant period of time” but added that diplomacy remained the focus of U.S. efforts.
“I still think it’s important we focus on the dialogue, we focus on the engagement, but also do it in a realistic way that looks at whether Iran is actually going to tell the truth, actually engage and actually do anything,” Mullen said in an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS due to air on Sunday.

More airport security questions.
I have been planning to do a post with a lot of information about airport security and the new scanning equipment as well as the questionable ethics of letting terrorists win by making travel within your own country so unpleasant that people do it less while ignoring the real threat to air travel, Muslims. But I thought I would post this story in advance of it and welcome a discussion on it. Whatever else you may think of this episode, it is clear evidence of harassment of travellers to the detriment of air travel, whether you agree with the need for the procedures or no.

ELISABETH SABADITSCH-WOLFF: WE ARE BEING SYSTEMATICALLY SILENCED, THIS IS OUR TIME
Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff (photo © Snaphanen), delivered the following speech at a conference today held in Copenhagen, sponsored by the International Free Press Society . KGS
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I stand here before you in the city of Copenhagen in the year 2010. This is widely considered to be an enlightened country in the heart of an enlightened continent.
Our basic freedoms have long been guaranteed — first by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as passed by the United Nations in 1948, and then buttressed by the Council of Europe in 1950 through the European Convention of Human Rights, which was later affirmed by the European Union. Our individual countries have additionally codified the same basic rights in their own constitutions.
These rights include the freedom of individual conscience, the right to assemble peaceably, and the right to practice our religion freely, or to have no religion at all. And, perhaps most importantly of all, they include the right to voice our opinions freely and to publish them without hindrance.
Yet freedom of speech is under attack today here in Denmark, as it is in my own country Austria, and indeed all across Europe. Today, in 21st century Western Europe, our right to free speech is being shut down quietly and systematically with an effectiveness that the commissars in the old Soviet Union could only dream of.
A milestone in this ominous totalitarian trend will be reached tomorrow, 28 November 2010, when the member states of the European Union are required to implement an innocuous-sounding legal provision known as the “Framework decision on combating racism and xenophobia”, or, more fully, the “Council Framework Decision 2008/913/JHA of 28 November 2008 on combating certain forms and expressions of racism and xenophobia by means of criminal law.” According to the final article of the Framework Decision, “Member States shall take the necessary measures to comply with the provisions of this Framework Decision by 28 November 2010.”
Why does this matter to the cause of free speech in Europe?
If you read the full text of the Framework Decision (which may be found in the legislative section of the EU’s website), you will learn that “Each Member State shall take the measures necessary… to ensure that the following intentional conduct is punishable.” Such “intentional conduct” includes “conduct which is a pretext for directing acts against a group of persons or a member of such a group defined by reference to race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin.”
Based on what has recently happened to Geert Wilders and me — and earlier to Gregorius Nekschot, Jussi Halla-aho, and numerous others — we can all guess who will be punished under this provision of the Framework Decision: those who criticize Islam.
Even worse, a complaint made by a member state does not have to be “dependent on a report or an accusation made by a victim of the conduct”, nor does the alleged offender have to be “physically present in its territory”.
In other words, if the dhimmi Austrian government objects to a cartoon published by Kurt Westergaard here in Denmark, Mr. Westergaard may be extradited by the Austrian Ministry of Justice to answer to hate speech charges in Austria. The European Arrest Warrant guarantees that the Danish government cannot legally interfere with such an extradition, and the 800-strong “European Gendarmerie Force” would be available to fetch Mr. Westergaard out of his bed and bring him to Vienna — with impunity.
As of tomorrow, the above scenario becomes a real possibility. It is not a paranoid fantasy. These legal provisions are detailed in the EU’s public documents, and they will enjoy the full force of law in all EU member states as of midnight tonight.
The death throes of free speech in Europe begin tomorrow morning.
Ok what about Thor? Or Peter Pan? What is f*cking wrong with the British?
Here is the most infuriating thing I have seen today and the most solid evidence of the sharia being imposed on the general British public. Really guys it’s time for a real armed revolt over there. At what point do you say the rule of law, as British people have created, fought killed and died for it, no longer is working in your interest or indeed is recognizable as British law at all? Clearly you could say anything you want publicly about Jesus, Thor, Aphrodite, Hercules? Could you say something negative about Peter Pan or Papa Smurf? I guarantee you that you can. It is Islamic symbols and only Islamic symbols that get you in trouble with the law.
I guess the only redeeming thing, is he is not being stoned to death at the tower of London.
Yet.

Anti-Allah outburst earns EDL supporter £200 fine after protest in Leicester
By terry hall
A man has been fined for making offensive comments about Allah during the English Defence League protest in Leicester.
Lee Whitby was found guilty of using racially aggravated abusive words during the protest in the city centre on Saturday, October 9.
During a trial at Leicester Magistrates’ Court yesterday, the 27-year-old pleaded not guilty to chanting “threatening, abusive or insulting” words that were likely to cause “harassment, alarm or distress.”
Although he admitted making comments, Whitby said he did not believe they would have been heard by anyone other than police officers or fellow EDL supporters.
However, magistrate Rick Moore ruled that officers were likely to have been alarmed by the defendant’s words.
Whitby, of Holley Place, Stoke-on-Trent, said he was an EDL supporter and had travelled by train to Leicester on the day of the protest with about 30 people from Stoke and Crewe.
He also admitted being part of previous EDL protests in Newcastle, Dudley, Stoke, Bolton and Bradford.
The defendant told the court he was leaving the protest site in Humberstone Gate East and was being ushered towards the train station when he uttered the offensive chant.
Whitby, who chose to represent himself, said: “I went to an EDL demo and was in an area which was isolated away from everyone else.
“The only people that would have heard were the EDL.
“I was not aiming it at anyone. No-one around would find it offensive. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have said it.
“I was just voicing my opinion at an EDL meeting with just EDL people around.”
Alexandra Blossom, prosecuting, said the comments made were bound to cause harassment, alarm or distress because of Leicester’s multicultural society and the fact the words were said in the city centre.
She said: “A number of people present that day were likely to be offended. Continue Reading →

USS George Washington Carrier enters Yellow Sea
This is a powerful statement by the US in terms of its commitment to South Korea. However, North Korea’s pattern seems to be to provoke once the last provocation has died down, as in their estimation the Western mind set cannot focus for more than a few news cycles. North Korea sunk the Chon An and killed 40 plus South Korean navy personnel, Then after a while, a South Korean aircraft went missing and 2 Air-force people aboard. I have no idea what happened to them I didn’t follow that story after the disappearance.
Then the recent attack on the ‘Disputed’ yet clearly South Korean Island. My guess is, the USS George Washington will sail around the area for 3 weeks while the North prepares it’s next outrage and once the ship has left they will commit it. North Korea may be evil, may not care one bit about the safety or well being of its own people and may be prepared to see some or all of them die in pointless provocations, but they are not stupid.
