60 Minutes on Turkish Christians.

at around 9:40 there is an interesting bit about Mohamed’s tolerance. I have no idea if this is true or not, but I do know two things about it.

1. Generally accepted Islamic scripture says that if a Muslim damages a church, the Christians may not repair or rebuild.

2. If this is authentic, and if it is as 60 Minutes described, and hasn’t been sanitized or made more acceptable to Western eyes somehow, then Muslims certainly are not obeying it there, or anywhere.

This story from 2010 may answer aspects of any lingering doubts on it.

Turks and kurds in France teach us new uses for flags

I have an idea. Let’s import millions of people with vastly alien notions of how to live and who feel no connection to our histories, cultures, values or people and then not only tell them not to integrate, but create entire industries to help them remain as they are at our expense.

Pitched Battle Between Turks and Kurds in Paris
10:51 AM
This happened today. About 150 Turks had gathered to protest against “terrorism in Turkey” when they were attacked by 24 Kurds, apparently fans of the PKK. The Turks fell back. Police had to deploy tear gas to disperse the Kurds.

UPDATE: An 18-year-old Turk who was involved in this scuffling later died in hospital. As on the weekend before, anti-PKK demonstrations were organised by Turkish colonists across Europe. Mostly these passed off peacefully, but in a few places, such as Bielefeld and Bremen, there were clashes between Kurdish colonists and Turkish colonists.

Turkish Grey Wolves attack Kurdish targets in Amsterdam, France and Germany

Multiculturalism: Everywhere in the world you go, gangs of Muslims riot, attack things and burn stuff chanting the same two words.

The demonstrators tried to go to Sloterkade, where the Kurdish centre is located. When the riots started, the demonstrators came to blows with the police and smashed in car windshields and the Kurdish cultural center was damaged. There are several injured, onlookers. The neighborhood is sealed now by police.

Protesters threw stones and beat police with sticks. There are many rumors that shots were fired during the riots.

The protest earlier today was directed against “terrorism”, and in particular the Kurdish separatist PKK.

It seems yesterday’s attack on Kurds in Holland was part of a Europe wide coordinated effort by Turks, part of the ‘Gray Wolves’ movement (you can tell my the hand sign salute many are doing in all of the videos) and Kurdish associated buildings, shops and or businesses were attacked by Turks in all locations.

Isn’t it a grand idea to include Turkey in the EU and drop all requirements for passports etc? The video above is from Stuttgart. Below, from Saint-Étienne in France. Both of these were found at Islam Vs. Europe. It is important to note the mix of ‘Allahu Ackbar’s and the fascist chants and signs from the Turks. The Grey Wolves are worth a moment to look up.

I am reliably informed that they also smashed up a Kurdish shop in Saint-Etienne in France after this protest march.

EU CONSIDERS REMOVING VISAS FOR TURKISH CITIZENS

ANSAMED

30 September , 13:31

(ANSAmed) – ANKARA, SEPTEMBER 30 – The European Union for the first time is planning to draw a road map to completely remove visa requirements for Turkish citizens, while in the meantime the union will take steps to ease visa procedures, according to Cecilia Malmstrom, European Commission representative for interior affairs as daily Hurriyet reports. The process will start in the fall and will have five steps starting with granting longer visas, then multi-entry visas, then shortening the processing time, then reducing the paperwork required, and then extending again or even eliminating visas for certain sectors. Turkey’s European Union Minister Egemen Bagis on Wednesday participated in a session of the European Parliament discussing the union’s visa regime for Turkish nationals. The EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting on Wednesday was the first high-level meeting between Turkey and the EU on what Ankara hopes will lead to further negotiations to remove visa requirements for Turks visiting EU member countries. ANKARA (Reuters) – A bomb blast rocked the center of the Turkish capital Ankara on Tuesday and some media reports said two people were killed, while a local mayor said nobody was dead but three people were seriously wounded.

Police were not immediately available for comment, but a TV station reported that the explosion had occurred in a minibus.

Television images showed several parked cars ablaze in front of a local state authority’s offices, while a plume of thick smoke rose over the area.

Ambulances and fire engines rushed to the scene. The state-run Anatolian news agency said police set up a security cordon at the site in case of a secondary explosion.

Dogan News Agency quoted police sources as saying the blast was caused by a bomb and fire service officials as saying that two people had died. It also reported that police had detained a woman near the scene.

Cankaya Mayor Bulent Tanik said nobody was killed but three people had been seriously wounded, while broadcaster CNN Turk said 20 people were wounded and were being treated at three hospitals.

CNN Turk said bomb disposal teams were at the scene.

Huriyetdaily

Göksel Bozkurt – ANKARA

A recent report reveals that gender equality in terms of education and income is high in Turkey. Accordingly,
there is almost a 30 percent gender-gap-based inequality between the sexes in the country and more
than a quarter of married women in the lowest income bracket lack control over the money they earn.

Girls in Turkey are more likely than boys to drop out of school in response to losses of household income experienced by their families, a recent report says.

Turkey and India join African countries in high levels of overall inequality, the report says.

Gender inequality in terms of education and income is high in Turkey, according to a recent World Bank report, which nonetheless praised the country’s successful policies to reduce maternal mortality rates and support disadvantaged groups.

Turkey and India join African countries in high levels of overall inequality, said the World Development Report 2012, prepared by the World Bank with a focus on the economics of gender equality and development.

Gender inequality in school attendance among children 12 to 15 years old is quite high in Turkey, where there is almost a 30 percent gender-gap-based inequality between the sexes, the report said. Girls in Turkey were, among other things, more likely than boys to drop out of school in response to losses of household income experienced by their families.

Another part of the report showed that more than a quarter of married women in the lowest income bracket in Turkey lack control over the money they earn. Husbands have more control over their wives’ earnings at lower income levels, the report said.

Dramatically heightening tensions during an increasingly volatile time in Israel’s relations with the Arab world, Essam Sharaf’s suggestions that the 32-year treaty could be revised prompted disbelief in the Jewish state.

“The Camp David agreement is not a sacred thing and is always open to discussion with what would benefit the region and the case of fair peace,” Mr Sharaf told Turkish television. “We could make a change if needed.”

Coming just days after an angry mob stormed the Israeli embassy in Cairo, Israeli officials said they were staggered more by the timing of Mr Sharaf’s comments than their actual content. “Less than a week ago, we had the problem with the embassy,” an Israeli official said. “I don’t think a responsible prime minister should say things like that.”

Reeling from a noxious diplomatic row with Turkey and fearing that an expected Palestinian bid for statehood at the UN next week will heighten its growing sense of isolation.

On Thursday, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish prime minister, raised the stakes by repeating his intention to deploy warships in the Mediterranean to challenge Israeli “aggression”. Continue Reading →

Europe will have to accept “more immigrants” says Turkish President

From European Son
“Europe will have to put up with the arrival of more immigrants and accept diversity.” This is the message of Turkish President Abdullah Gul. Speaking to the Yaroslavl Global Policy Forum, Gul also expressed concern at the rise of anti-immigrant and anti-Islamic sentiment in Europe, and suggested that more needed to be done to combat it. Turkey has a long history of institutionalized discrimination of minorities, although… continue reading!

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has dispatched 3 warships to the Eastern Mediterranean to ‘defend against Israeli vessels’ and ensure ‘freedom of navigation’ for his country’s ships, Today’s Zaman reported.

The move, only the latest in Erdogan’s bellicose rhetorical assault on Israel, comes on the same day  he called Israel’s boarding of the Gaza-bound Mavi Marmara in 2010 “grounds for war” adding only Turkey’s “greatness and patience” had averted conflict. Continue Reading →

Report: Turkish warplanes now able to fire at Israeli targets

From YNET News:

Ankara’s Star Gazete says country’s new F-16 radar system modified to recategorize Israeli targets as hostile. Order said to come directly from PM Erdogan’s office; naval, submarine radar systems to be changed next

Aviel Magnezi

Turkey has developed a new radar system for its US-made F-16 fighter jets that will allow them to fire at Israeli targets, Ankara’s Star Gazete reported on Tuesday. The orders to modify the system reportedly came directly from Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip

The new radar system – Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) – is a defensive command and control system developed by Erdogan says flotilla raid was ’cause for war’

The US system is comprised of lists of “friends” and “foes.” The system’s settings are designed to prevent pilot error as well, to an extent, disabling the ability to fire at “friendly” targets even by mistake. The US system identified

The new system, however, allows Turkey control the “friend or foe” list independently.

Erdogan’s interview on al-Jazeera (MEMRI)

The Turkish IFF system is scheduled to be mounted on all Turkish fighter jets, military vessels and submarines in the near future.
