Today’s contest: A Mustard or not?

Here is an interesting video. A person, who the officials go to huge lengths to try and hide is identity in the MSM video and photos, sets himself on fire, tries to crash the courthouse where Anders Breivik is being tried for his brand of savage mass-horror in Norway, and when that doesn’t work, he begs the police to shoot him.

In the official photos I have seen so far, they have removed his head completely in order to protect his identity. Fortunately a few videos and pictures have squeezed through the net.

At last. I understand what the term, ‘racist’ means.

When I was growing up, racism meant that a person was somewhere on the emotional spectrum from ‘dislike to loathe’ a particular person because of the assumed, real or imagined, attributes of the demographic (based on actual racial lines such as oriental, negroid, occidental and aboriginal if memory serves) that individual belonged to.

Then, as the term racist became more and more effective at causing harm to the person it was used against, the definition broadened so as to make it easier to use that term in a variety of ways that suited a whole host of agendas. Most ironically, for people who might be against the defacto racist policy of affirmative action for example. So now, one is racist if they oppose systemic racism.

Even more bizarrely, a person is racist it seems if they choose to apply the most strict rules of Greek logic to a given ideology or belief system where members of that system feel they have a natural right not have their ideas analyzed or in any way, set forth to public scrutiny. In other words, it is legally a criminal offense in many countries today to be anti-Nazi (I believe Canada is one of those countries) as Nazis are an identifiable group and therefore, to publicly mock, criticize or subject the group to uncomfortable analysis may well be a racist act.

All these new concepts and definitions for the powerful rhetorical-weapon, ‘Racist’ can make ones head spin.

Now at last from a Norwegian newspaper we finally can come to understand what racism means.

It means, as best as I can understand it from the machine translation, that

‘if a country will not give someone the money to put new siding on your house, then the indigenous white people of that country are all a bunch of “fucking racist Norwegians”

To understand the context of the image above, first pay a visit to Steen’s place. He has posted the promotional photos of Anders Behring Breivik’s legal defense team.

It’s for real. The original, that is. A breathtaking social cluelessness that must be labeled Only In Norway. (Or perhaps North Korea?) Could the gleam of avarice and opportunism show through the heavy-handed “Nordic Law and Order” grotesquerie any more clearly than it does in those pictures?

How ever could such an appalling display be considered seemly? These look like a publicity shots for a reality TV show. Congruent, really, since that is how degraded the Breivik “trial” has become. Think of some of the episodes so far:

The dramatic tension of the first team of forensic psychiatrists, as the whole country waits to hear their expert diagnosis. [Norway loves ‘experts’]. End of first episode: Perpetrator is insane. The mass murderer isn’t like the rest of us.

Then, the infamous meeting between Fjordman and the police. The one that begins with several hours sitting in the police station with his lawyer while he is roundly ignored. The drama builds as they rush to Fjordman’s home and ransack the place. Looking for what? The clues in his socks? We never find out. End of second episode: Fjordman learns that the police don’t always tell the truth. His lawyer is shaken by the ‘just-this-side-of-the-law’ demeanor of the police.

Moving the story line along, the real clown star of the series (think Fellini here) knows what he wants. He is sane now, he was sane when he killed all those kids, and he demands a new diagnosis. It is shortly forthcoming as those-in-charge suddenly realize they can hardly put a crazy man in the dock for mass murder. The insane are, by definition, not fit to stand trial in compassionate, civilized countries. Thus, two other trained monkeys are quickly found to render a brand new study with the changed diagnosis necessary to carry the circus forward. Can you guess what the second team of psychiatrists found to be the perpetrator’s mental condition?

Further episodes have included slow revelations of witnesses who will be called to testify at the circus. Gasps are heard in the audience as new names are revealed…

Look at that picture again. Either our version or the original — the expression in the eyes is the same in each; they haven’t been photoshopped.

Now watch the circus begin.

Breivik, the Norwegian terrorist, was acting out a sick minded, murderous role to satisfy his demented sense of extreme narcissism, a grossly exaggerated belief of self importance. His murderous deed had nothing to do with the issues he appears to be grappling with, but about projecting himself into the public eye, using any means to get there. It was all about him.

Norway killer Breivik is sane: psychiatric report

Anders Behring Breivik, who killed 77 people in Norway last July, was not psychotic at the time of the twin attacks and can thus be held criminally responsible, a new psychiatric probe concluded on Tuesday.

“The experts’ main conclusion is that the accused, Anders Behring Breivik, is not considered to have been psychotic at the time of the actions on July 22nd, 2011,” the Oslo district court said in a statement which reopens the debate on whether the self-confessed killer can be sent to prison.

“That means that he is considered criminally responsible at the time of the crime.”

The new evaluation counters the findings of an initial probe that found Breivik was suffering from “paranoid schizophrenia,” which meant he would most likely be sentenced to psychiatric care instead of prison.

On July 22nd, Breivik first set off a car bomb outside government buildings in Oslo, killing eight people, before travelling to the small island of Utøya north-west of the capital where he spent more than an hour methodically shooting and killing another 69 people, mostly teenagers.

The victims had been attending a summer camp hosted by the ruling Labour Party’s youth organisation.

This is another example of a brutal crime in Oslo in which any hint of ethnicity has been carefully cleansed from the Norwegian media report. Once again, I’ll offer to eat my pickelhaube if there turns out to be no cultural enrichment involved.

Our Norwegian correspondent The Observer, who translated the report, has this to say about it:

The article doesn’t mention that the perpetrators of this horrific incident were immigrants, but they did threaten her in English, so I think it’s fair to assume that they weren’t Norwegians.

Nor does the article mention anything about the ethnicity of the victim, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she turns out to be ethnic Norwegian. Most of the victims are.

Grünerløkka is a culturally enriched neighbourhood in Oslo.

The translated article from today’s edition of VG Nett:

Rape charge: Victim suffered a 12 cm [5 inch] gash to the throat

Two men have been charged in connection with a brutal assault rape in Grünerløkka in Oslo

The young female victim suffered several knife cuts to the throat and was raped repeatedly.

“Shut up or I will kill you,” [she was told this in English, which would tend to suggest that the perpetrators were foreigners. — translator] she was told by one of the accused when she started crying.

The rape occurred early in the morning on August 28 last year in an apartment complex in Kirkegårdsgata. The young woman had just entered the building when she was assaulted.

Breivik lawyer to call Fjordman to testify that he is not insane.

Somehow I just can’t see this going well for Breivik. In a weird way, this desire to call Fjordman for the defense to prove he is sane, is in itself a kind of proof that he is as nuts as a can-of-cashews.

OSLO, Norway — A lawyer for the Norwegian who confessed to killing 77 people says the defense will call both a Muslim cleric and an anti-Islamic blogger to the stand to refute claims that his client is insane.

Geir Lippestad, who represents Anders Behring Breivik, wants their testimony to show there are others who share Breivik’s world view.

Lippestad told public broadcaster NRK on Monday “we wish to call witnesses from both right-wing extremist and Islamist environments.”

Lippestad said witnesses would include Mullah Krekar, a radical Iraqi cleric jailed in Norway for making death threats, and a prominent anti-Islamic blogger known as Fjordman.

Mullah Krekar gets five years for death threats

A Norwegian court on Monday sentenced Mullah Krekar, the founder of a radical Iraqi Kurdish Islamist group, to five years in jail for issuing death threats against a former government minister and others.

The 55-year-old mullah, whose real name is Najmeddine Faraj Ahmad and who has lived in Norway since 1991, founded the Ansar al-Islam group.

He was found guilty of threatening the life of Erna Solberg, an ex-minister who signed his expulsion order in 2003 because he was considered a threat to national security.

“Norway will pay a heavy price for my death,” he said during a meeting with international media in June 2010.

“If for example Erna Solberg deports me and I die as a result, she will suffer the same fate,” he said in Arabic.

“I don’t know who will kill her: Al-Qaeda, Ansar al-Islam, my family, my children. I don’t know… But she will pay the price.”

The three Oslo court judges said the threat was aimed at pushing Norwegian authorities to retract the expulsion order.

Ervin Kohn, head of the Jewish community in Oslo said on Monday to the Norwegian daily Dagbladet, “This could just have easily happened in Norway. We do not feel safe.”

He added that the Jewish community is a vulnerable group and would like to see permanent police protection at its institutions.

Eleven serious anti-Semitic incidents were recorded in Norway last month. This included several death threats made against Norwegian Jews.

Hanne Nabintu Herland is a Norwegian author whose new book Respekt tops the Norwegian best-seller book list.

In an interview for Arutz Sheva with Israeli anti-Semitism expert Manfred Gerstenfeld, Herland called Norway “the most anti-Semitic country in the Western world.”
