Quebec: The mayor of a village without any Muslims wants to build a mosque

From European Uprising

(Translation: Bear)

At a time where the tribunal of rights forbids the recitation of prayers before the beginning of sessions in the city of Saguenay, (Quebec) Mayor Gendron of the small municipality of Huntingdon offers land and buildings for the construction of a moque and madrassa.

Poor mayor Gendron. The groups that have the funds to build mosques are very likely to be linked to the Muslim brotherhood and to be financed by petro dollars. This mayor that wants to repopulate his municipality risks having the one already established run away if in the village a branch of the Islamic league shows up.

Huntingdon wants its mosque. According to what Rue Frontenac has learned, the mayor Stephan Gendron has been searching for man months for a promoter or an Islamic group that will agree to build “a place of cult” in the small city of upper St. Laurent, that has no Muslim citizens. The municipality of 2600 citizens (Was 2900 20 years ago) has thrown itself in a business that the mayor qualifies as “A great seduction”. His target: Families, the elderly, and curiously, Muslims. To attract the latter the mayor is using many methods. Even if Huntingdon accounts no Muslim citizens he wishes for the mosque to be on his territory soon and has already made some steps towards that. “I haven’t had an official meeting, but I am talking to some people”.

Stephan Gendron does not stop there. On top of a place to pray he hopes to build a college or an Islamic cultural centre. “I already have the land available” he says, “and if they do not want to build new, I have vacant buildings at their disposal”. He has however no employment to offer his new cohabitants. “The migration around religion is one of the models that works the best” believes the mayor. “It’s so difficult to attract people to the region that you must be creative”

Within a week, Huntingdon will place a new, online website translated in English, Arabic and Spanish, which is extremely rare and maybe even unique for a town of this size. Even Montreal does not go as far on the web. “We are also going to be organizing an open-house during the spring” promises Stephan Gendron

CAIR Caught On Tape Warning Muslims Against Cooperating with FBI at Same Mosque Obama Spokesman Visited March 6

The White House at the ADAMS Islamic Center

In a concerted attempt to stay on message in attacking the Homeland Security Committee hearings on radicalization of Muslims, on March 6 the White House put out the same message being pushed by radical leftist Max Blumenthal, pseudo-conservative Muslim Brotherhood associate Suhail Khan, and others in the red-green alliance.  They sent Deputy National Security Advisor Denis McDonough to speak at the ADAMS (All Dulles Area Muslim Society) mosque in Sterling, Virginia to politicize and undermine the Committee’s hearings.  Sticking to the script, McDonough argued against linking Islamic Jihad doctrine with Jihadist terrorism: “For example, we know there are many different reasons why individuals – from many different faiths – succumb to terrorist ideologies… we risk feeding the very feelings of disenchantment that may push some members of that community to violent extremism.”  In other words merely thinking and speaking about the threat of  Jihad is itself the cause of the rising tide of Jihadist “violent extremism.”

Protests for an against Rep. King

The statistic about 80% of Mosques in the US being ‘radical‘ that the anchor quotes, is actually higher than 80% and is an FBI statistic that Vlad posted a couple of years ago. It also buggers the definition of radical. If that statistic is correct, then I would say the less than 20% that do not preach ‘radical Islam’ are in fact the true radicals and I would check under my car before I started it if I were them for fear of the 80% which I would more accurately describe as orthodox, conservative, or traditional Islam.

MCC urges governments to investigate infiltration of police forces by Islamists

(Still working on getting the original link for this: got it thanks to BCF)

TORONTO – The Muslim Canadian Congress (MCC) has expressed concern over the influence of Islamist organizations on Canada’s police and security services. In a statement, the MCC cautioned the federal, provincial and municipal governments, that their multiculturalism and diversity initiatives were being used by advocates of sharia law and Islamism to pursue their own hidden agenda.

The MCC was responding to recent news that a Muslim police officer from Toronto’s Intelligence refused to lay charges against a Muslim woman who had made an “open threat” against the founder of the MCC, Tarek Fatah.

Amna Bakhtiar, General Secretary of the MCC said, “it is quite possible that there were valid reasons not to lay charges against the woman. However, the optics of the Toronto police assigning Muslim officers to investigate threats made by radicals against liberal Muslims and then not charging them, leaves the impression that when it comes to the safety of liberal Muslims the TPS is more interested in multiculturalism rather than to serve and protect.”

Ms. Bahktiar said this is not the first incident of this sort and it is not the only police force in the country that has put multiculturalism ahead of security. She referred to incidents in Ottawa, where the RCMP were more willing to entertain Islamists and apologize for the force’s anti-terrorist operations than to unapologetically send a message that no violation of law will be tolerated, irrespective of one’s background. White House praises Muslims ahead of House hearing

STERLING, Va. – Muslim Americans are not part of the terrorism problem facing the U.S. — they are part of the solution, a top White House official said Sunday at a Washington-area mosque.

Deputy National Security Adviser Denis McDonough set the Obama administration’s tone for discussions as tensions escalate before the first in a series of congressional hearings on Islamic radicalization. The hearings, chaired by New York Republican Peter King, will focus on the level of cooperation from the Muslim community to help law enforcement combat radicalization.

The majority of the recent terror plots and attempts against the U.S. have involved people espousing a radical and violent view of Islam. Just a few weeks ago a college student from Saudi Arabia who studied chemical engineering in Texas was arrested after he bought explosive chemicals online. It was part of a plan to hide bomb materials inside dolls and baby carriages and blow up dams, nuclear plants or the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush.

King said the Muslim community could and should do more to work with law enforcement to stop its members from radicalizing and recruiting others to commit violence.

“I don’t believe there is sufficient cooperation” by American Muslims with law enforcement, King said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “Certainly my dealings with the police in New York and FBI and others say they do not believe they get the same — they do not give the level of cooperation that they need.”

In New York City on Sunday, about 300 protestors gathered in Times Square to speak out against King’s hearing, criticizing it as xenophobic and saying that singling out Muslims, rather than extremists, is unfair. Continue Reading →

Macleans: JDL hosts counter to ‘Israeli Apartheid Week’

Jewish Defence League to hold event to counter Israeli Apartheid Week

The Jewish Defence League of Canada has announced it will be hosting an event called “Islamic State Apartheid Week” in Toronto next week. Its stated goal is to “counter the campus lies against Jews and highlight the truth of Islam,” as well as “expose and confront the Israel bashers and Jew haters during IAW [Israeli Apartheid Week].”

Sounds like this all should go off without a hitch, no?

So far, it seems the program consists of protesting IAW events. The first gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, to protest a screening of “Jaffa the Oranges Clockwork,” which (to add another twist) is being sponsored by the Ryerson Student Union. Two more protests–one at the University of Toronto and another at York University–have been scheduled so far.

As of yet, just over 100 people have confirmed attendance on Facebook.

A statement from the President of York U. One of the campus where recently, violent antisemitism has been quite overt.

Tarek Fatah: Some death threats don’t count

Please everyone. Read this whole post for a fairly good idea how deeply Canada is screwed thanks to our solution to Islamic problems by appointing Muslims to high-ranking positions in everything meant to defend us from Islam and its adherents. The bold in the article is mine.

From The National Post:

Tarek Fatah: Some death threats don’t count

March 4, 2011 – 9:55 am

I had just woken from surgery when the first death threat arrived.

“This is an open threat to Xaar Boy @Tarek Fatah,” read the first Twitter posting, with its vulgar Somali adjective. “I know where you live & and where your office is.”

The sender signed herself as Mariama AnnaLitical and pictured herself wearing a purple hijab in the style of Toronto’s radical young Islamists. Other Twitter followers denounced the threat and urged that AnnaLitical be reported, even arrested. At one point she withdrew the warning, then repeated it later the same morning:

“He was also the 1 to propose banning the Niqab in Quebec… (and he) supports homosexuality,” she wrote, reiterating again: “This is an open threat. I know where you live/work @TarekFatah.”

Her fellow Islamists joined in, calling me a bad Muslim for opposing the hijab and supporting equality for gays. Other posters said I had brought the threats down onto myself.

I contacted Toronto police. Within hours, two uniformed policemen from 51 Division came to interview me in hospital. However, barely one minute later,  we were interrupted. Two men entered the room and told everybody else to leave. They did not identify themselves, but five minutes into what amounted to a two-hour interrogation, I realized they were police intelligence officers. One of them, I recognized by reputation – a Muslim officer who had shut down a previous investigation into a death threat against me in 2008, and another one against a partner in liberal Islam, Tahir Gora.

The latter incident took place in the winter of 2007. Gora, at that time, a columnist for the Hamilton Spectator, had spotted a Facebook page titled “The Enemies of Islam.” The page masthead featured the names and pictures of Gora, Bangladesh author Taslima Nasreen, Sir Salman Rushdie, Irshad Manji and yours truly. Next to Gora’s name was written, “Pseudo Muslims like you should be put to death.” Similar threats were made against the other secular or liberal Muslims on the list. Continue Reading →

STORY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari was a transfer student at South Plains College
  • He is accused of planning to attack targets in Texas
  • He faces a charge of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction

Washington (CNN) — A Saudi national living in Texas was arrested Wednesday for allegedly researching and acquiring chemicals to make a bomb, authorities said Thursday.

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, 20, of Lubbock, Texas, allegedly researched several possible targets, including the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush. along with nuclear power plants and hydroelectric dams.

Aldawsari was arrested in Lubbock on a federal charge of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction in connection with his alleged purchase of chemicals and equipment necessary to make an improvised explosive device, according to the Justice Department.

Aldawsari is expected to make his initial appearance in federal court in Lubbock Friday morning, the Department of Justice said.

Aldawsari, who was lawfully admitted into the United States in 2008 on a student visa and is enrolled at South Plains College near Lubbock, faces a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, officials said.

According to court records, Aldawsari conducted online research into how to construct an improvised explosive device, or IED, using several chemicals as ingredients. He has also “acquired or taken a substantial step toward acquiring most of the ingredients and equipment” needed for the bomb, documents said. Continue Reading →

The New Normal In Canada: Politicians Attend Mosque That Condones Death To Apostates, Beating Your Wife

Blazing Cat Fur, once again doing the job that the professional media is afraid to do, refuses to do, feels its more important to synthesize the news to feel good about diversity than do.

Eeyore

Politicians will do anything for a vote, that isn’t news. However when our politicos attend events at institutions that openly preach hate then we have really crossed the point of no return. Any politican who lends legitimacy to Islamist hate mongers should be turfed from office.

Case in point: Masjid Ibrahim, which also operates as the Peel Islamic Cultural Centre in Brampton. On Feb 19 Masjid Ibrahim hosted the “Muslim Professional Networking Event“.The keynote speaker was none other than Munir El-Kassem, an Islamist who has openly praised the racist Louis Farrakhan and wrote this stunning apologia for the Taliban.  Sadly El-Kassem is just a distraction in this story.

The event lists as it’s attendee’s:

Liberal MP Andrew Kania
Liberal MPP Shafiq Qaadri
Brampton Mayor Susan Fennell
Bramption Councillor John Hutton
Regional Councillor Paul Palleschi
And Maybe… Toronto Mayor Rob Ford who is listed as an “anticipated guest” I have no confirmation on whether Rob Ford did or did not attend this event.
