Canada. A spooky reflection of Little Rock Ark. 2009
Long time readers of my blog may remember a thing I ran on the sidebar of this site to get the US government to give two new recruits to the US forces a purple heart who had been shot by a convert to Islam while standing in a parking lot of a mall in front of a military office in 2009.
While the similarities are interesting it is the differences that really count in this case.
I ran that campaign because the US government was refusing to look at it as an act of war and so the soldiers were not given the Purple heart which they richly deserved and earned, especially considering the number of people that received one from injuring themselves on things like Coke machines. Seriously.
However as Canada’s government has already clearly acknowledged that this was indeed a terrorist attack I feel hopeful at this time that the two men who were attacked, and one who died, will receive all the benefits for themselves and their families that they would have received had this occurred in an officially designated combat zone.
Perhaps we should keep one jaundiced eye open on the news to make sure this is the case anyway. Political correctness and pressure from muslim groups surely will try and get this listed as ‘work-place violence’ or some other Obama brand, US style crazy deflection from reality. But I hope we Canadians have more sense than that and are capable of dealing with reality in the here and now.
Meanwhile, people may want to check out Point De Bascule which has a great set of resources on the Imam who preaches at the mosque that the jihadi who attacked those two men near Montreal attended.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sorrow for the loss, and respect for this serviceman who died in this jihadi attack as well as the other who was injured. A caller to Lowell Green’s show this morning had a great idea that all of us should show support by dressing in combat fatigues or otherwise in military style with the proviso that we do not actually wear a uniform if we are not in the forces. But cammo pants or jacket would be a good idea.

This is quite a surprising article from the left wing, Spiegel news station out of Germany.
It details how a couple of nice young German boys from a relatively tard-free town converted to Islam and went to Syria to get laid ‘apres-vis’ so to speak.
My favorite part is the interview with the bearded clam in the car who is asked:
“Did you notice his radicalization?” The answer is very revealing. Politicians and apologists, please take note.

Whenever I write about culturally enriched Europeans who travel to Syria to join the jihad, I generally refer to them (using quotation marks) as “Britons”, “Swedes”, “Danes”, “Germans”, etc., to emphasize the spuriousness of their designated ethnicity.
However, the mujahid pictured above and described below really is a German. Or was until recently, when he became a Soldier of Allah.

For the first time, there is evidence of a German advertising for Al Qaeda terrorists. In a video, “Abu Osama” calls Muslims to the battle against Syria’s Assad regime, and to a martyr’s death.
It was only a question of time before a video like this turned up. A German Islamist calls on his co-religionists to come to Syria and become part of the so-called Holy War. The man calls himself “Abu Osama” and is a convert to Islam. He is sitting with his Kalashnikov in front of the ruins of a house somewhere in Syria and touting the fight against Assad and a martyr’s death for Al Qaeda.

Burak K. was once a good football player. Seven times he kicked for the German U16 and U17 national teams. But when 20-year-old, he decided to be a fighter for Allah. Like so many jihadists, he moved to Syria, where he died on November 11th during an air strike by Assad’s army. Schalke professional Kevin-Prince Boateng wrote on twitter: “RIP my brother Burak.K! I will never forget our time, you were a true friend!” Also an islamist “rapper” from Berlin, Deso Dogg, has now been killed in Syria. Will Islamic paradise run out of virgins now?

Burak could have started a brilliant football career, if only the Quran had not been in the way. He played in the youth teams of Hertha BSC, Hannover 96 and Alemannia Aachen. So, a “lack of welcome culture”, “lack of sensitivity”, “recklessness” and “injustice” of the German host society cannot have been the reason for his change.
This is how sympathetic someone looks who obviously hasn’t had the Quran-chip implemented in his head at that time. In comparison to the first picture, the conversion is easily to recognize. The typical marks on the forehead are evidence of his intense “praying”.
The German magazine FOCUS reports:
“The father of two children, Burak K., became only 26 years old. During his career in Germany’s national team, he also played with today’s internationals Sami Khedira and Dennis Aogo and the Bundesliga stars Boateng and Baumjohann.”

A white Muslim convert threatened to kill Prince Harry just a day after the shocking murder of a soldier in Woolwich.
Ashraf Islam, 30, formerly known as Mark Townley, confessed to police that he wanted to kill the third in line to the throne, who has served in high profile tours of Afghanistan.
Islam walked into a police station in Hounslow on May 23 and told detectives that he wanted to murder the prince hours after soldier Lee Rigby, 25, was killed.

Wootton Bassett Terror Plotter Jailed

Former BBC security guard Richard Dart planned to target the town or “a few MI5 MI6 heads” after training in Pakistan camps.
A Muslim convert who plotted a terror attack on Royal Wootton Bassett has been jailed for six years.
Richard Dart, 30, who appeared in a BBC 3 documentary about Islam in 2011, had also planned to target members of the security services after receiving training at camps in Pakistan.
Dart, the son of Dorset-based teachers, was jailed at the Old Bailey with his co-conspirators Jahangir Alom, a former police community support officer, and Imran Mahmood.

The mother of the two brothers suspected of bombing the Boston Marathon said that the elder brother, who was killed in a Thursday evening shootout, had found radical Islam five years ago and that the FBI had been concerned about him because of the information he was receiving from extremist websites.
In an interview with Russia Today before Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the younger brother, was captured alive on Friday, Zubeidat Tsarnaev said the FBI “were scared of my oldest son,” Tamerlan, because “they always told me he’s a leader,” and they were “afraid of him because, you know, he is a leader, he talks about Islam a lot.”
