Islamist charged for US airmen killings

German federal prosecutors said Thursday they had indicted a 21-year-old Islamic extremist from Kosovo over an attack on US troops at Frankfurt Airport in March that killed two airmen.

“There is sufficient evidence against the accused to show that he killed two US American soldiers perfidiously and for base motives on the afternoon of March 2, 2011,” the federal prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

Arid Uka was charged on Monday with two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder for the shooting rampage after he allegedly stormed a US military bus parked at the airport.

Uka shot dead the two airmen and critically injured two others while shouting “Allahu Akhbar” (“God is Greatest”), according to prosecutors. One soldier later lost vision in an eye. Continue Reading →

Woman’s leg broken, others hurt in Spring Garden mob attack

Here is an interesting story. A mob attacks women and other people, and there is not one adjective about the attackers other than there appears to have been around 100 of them. Is this journalism? Have we really gotten to the point where media has decided for us all what we are not allowed to know in case we form opinions based on facts that might be politically inconvenient? Why do I think if they were mostly middle class white kids from Christian backgrounds we would have video, photos and names by now? Below, a paragraph or two of the story but click over and read the whole thing to get a sense of the scope of the lack of information.

A WOMAN’S leg was broken and several other people were injured Saturday night when a large group of teens accosted pedestrians in Spring Garden, police and witnesses said.

Philadelphia police responded to two reports of pedestrians being assaulted by a large group of young people along Broad Street about 9:30 p.m.

One of those reports came from Emily Guendelsberger, 27, city editor for local arts and entertainment content for the Onion, the satirical newspaper and website. She was walking with seven friends on Green Street near Broad when they were accosted, she said. Guendelsberger, who remained hospitalized with a broken leg yesterday, declined to comment further.

 

 

 

Justice Dept.: 2 arrested in Seattle terror plot

SEATTLE (AP) — Two men intent on attacking a military recruiting station to inspire Muslims to defend their religion from U.S. actions abroad were snared by FBI agents in a terror plot sting, authorities said Thursday.

Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif, also known as Joseph Anthony Davis, of Seattle, and Walli Mujahidh, also known as Frederick Domingue Jr., of Los Angeles, were arrested Wednesday night after they arrived at a warehouse garage to pick up machine guns to use in the attack, an FBI agent wrote in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court.

The machine guns had been rendered inoperable by federal agents and posed no risk to the public.

The two suspects appeared in federal court Thursday in tan prison garb and listened as prosecutor recited the charges against them. Detention hearings were set for Wednesday.

Their court-appointed defense lawyers declined to comment. The suspects could face life in prison if convicted.

Authorities learned of the plot early this month when a third person recruited to participate alerted the Seattle Police Department, the complaint said. WAPO: Sources: Marine reservist linked to area shootings

The Marine Reservist and Fairfax County resident whose overnight presence at Arlington National Cemetery sparked an aggressive police response Friday may also be connected to the series of shootings at area military sites late last year, law enforcement sources said.

Jonathan Melaku, 22, of the Alexandria section of Fairfax County, was taken into custody early Friday. Authorities said he initially fled from police, had suspicious items in his backpack and told officers that the bag contained bombmaking materials. Authorities eventually determined that there was no immediate threat to the public.

No charges have been filed against Melaku in the series of five shootings at Northern Virginia military sites, which have been linked by investigators to the same weapon. But federal law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation said evidence found Friday links Melaku to the shootings.

‘Suspicious vehicle’ closes roads near Pentagon

U.S. Park Police arrested a man lurking suspiciously overnight in Arlington National Cemetery and closed several major roads near the Pentagon Friday morning.

According to WRC-TV, an explosive device was found in the man’s vehicle parked near the Pentagon, though a Park Police spokesman said he could not confirm that. According to WJLA, the man may have had ammonium nitrate on him when arrested.

New York City cabdriver Mohammed Azam ran over two of his passengers for no apparent reason. Another cabbie, Hassan Daly, who was described as a “devout Muslim,” plowed his cab into a crowd on a sidewalk in San Diego, injuring over 24 people. Mohammed Reza Taheri-Azar explicitly grounded his hit-and-run in the teachings of the Koran. Munir Muthana told the police who arrested him that “the Muslims will fix this country.” Omeed Aziz Popal, we were told, was suffering from stress from an arranged marriage. Ismail Yassin Mohamed, we were informed, was mentally ill, suffered from depression, and hadn’t being taking his medication. And Muhammad Teshale, according to “law enforcement officials,” “did it to be famous.”

Coincidence or jihad? Certainly there are a lot of hit-and-run and incidents involving people hit by cars that have nothing to do with Muslims, but in the cases listed here there is a degree of intentionality in these that we do not usually see.

WICHITA – After fatally striking a lawn mowing contractor, the driver of a van continued on for another three miles (4.8km) with the body on the roof of his vehicle in Wichita, Kansas on Friday — sparking 911 calls from people who saw the disturbing sight.The victim, an unnamed 32-year-old man, was working with a weed-eater near a street outside a Hawker Beechcraft plant when he was struck about 7:15am, The Wichita Eagle reported citing local police capital [sic] Hassan Ramzah.

 

Watch real racists squirm

Oh man this is fun. College racists when asked if they support the exact same program that advantages non-whites in every sphere of life, ineffectively weasel their way out of supporting the same policy when merit actually creates a disproportionate number of non-whites as dominant in the field. This is quite satisfying to watch. Actual racists caught in the act and being oh so gentile trying to pretend to be otherwise.

And so, as I feared, by the end of the first week in June, 2011, Yale University shut down the Yale Initiative for the Interdisciplinary Study of Anti-Semitism (YIISA). They gave the initiative, which has been housed at Yale since 2006, until July to clear out.

The Palestinianization and Stalinization of the American professoriate coupled with the likely prospect of funding from the Arab world made this outcome inevitable — as did the non-stop diet of Big Lies about Israel and Jews in the mainstream media, at the United Nations, and in international human rights reports.

Only last year, there were bitter and very public complaints the Palestinians and their supporters made in response to YIISA’s best-ever conference on contemporary global anti-Semitism, which was held last August. And why? Because the scholars gathered by YIISA from at least five or more continents dared to focus on the Muslim and Islamist face of genocidal anti-Semitism.

The YIISA global conference, in which I was privileged to participate, was utterly unique in focusing not only upon the politically correct view of anti-Semitism as a Christian, Western, and European phenomenon, but also on its current and lethal incarnation in the Islamic and Islamist worlds. I, and a lonely and demonized handful of others, had been writing and speaking about this for the last eight to ten years, but this was the first time that voluminous, in-person evidence was brought to bear on this reality.

In the past, I was a single voice crying out. Here, at Yale, my voice was joined by others who had facts, experience, analysis, details and no small amount of drama. I was especially moved by the testimony of the Argentinian prosecutor of Iran’s terrorist plot against Argentina’s Jews, Professor Alberto Nisman. The terrorist mastermind of this heinous plot escaped justice when President Ahmadinejad appointed him Iran’s Minister of Defense. I had not known this. The information was chilling….
