Police arrested six men in a series of dawn raids targeting a gang believed to be involved in the sexual exploitation of teenage girls.
The men are reported to have supplied alcohol and drugs to under-age girls at sex parties.
The operation by Greater Manchester Police follows a three-month investigation involving around 100 detectives.

The men are being held on suspicion of trafficking within the UK for the purposes of sexual exploitation.
Addresses in Longsight, south Manchester, Salford and Clayton were targeted.
Police say the victims are teenage girls living in the Stockport area.
A spokesman said: ‘This morning a joint operation by officers from GMP’s Major Incident Team and Stockport Division is making a number of arrests in connection with an investigation into organised crime groups.

‘Focusing chiefly on child sexual exploitation, the investigation involves around 100 detectives and is one of the largest ever carried out by the Serious Crime Division.
‘The arrests are the result of a three-month inquiry into the sexual exploitation of a number of teenage girls from Stockport by men.’
Six men have so far been arrested at addresses in Cheetham Hill, Fallowfield, Levenshulme, Moss Side and Chorlton-on-Medlock, all Manchester or Salford.
Assistant Chief Constable Terry Sweeney, of GMP, said: ‘I hope today’s action shows people in Greater Manchester that the issue of sexual exploitation is one that we take extremely seriously.
‘This is the largest-ever operation carried out by the Major Incident Team and we have had dozens of detectives, including a team from Stockport, working on this investigation.
‘It is believed there could ultimately be more victims in this case and officers now want to hear from anyone else who thinks they may have been sexually exploited.

According to Huwaini, after Muslims invade and conquer a non-Muslim nation—in the course of waging an offensive jihad—the properties and persons of those infidels who refuse to convert or pay jizya and live as subjugated dhimmis, are to be seized as ghanima or “spoils of war.” … Huwaini said that infidel captives, the “spoils of war,” are to be distributed among the Muslim combatants (i.e., jihadists) and taken to “the slave market, where slave-girls and concubines are sold.”

SOMETIMES the most shocking adversity can lead a person to a bright new beginning. That is the case for Anna C, one of the victims of a spate of racist gang rapes that shocked Australia 11 years ago.
The gang rapists, Australian-born Lebanese Muslims roamed Sydney hunting for non-Muslim teenage girls they regarded as “Aussie sluts”.
Ms C was 18 when she was raped 25 times by as many as 14 men, including the notorious Skaf brothers Bilal, then 18 and Mohammed, 17 – in August, 2000.
She had been sitting on a train, dressed for a job interview in her best suit, reading The Great Gatsby, when she was approached by the youths.
They stole her mobile phone and lured her off the train, raped her in a toilet block and then drove her to a secluded park in Sydney’s southwestern suburbs.
There she was “passed from group to group to be abused, insulted and defiled,” as Justice Michael Finnane described it.
“It is hard to believe that young men brought up in modern Australia could behave so much like wild animals.”
Carloads of youths were summoned by mobile phone: “There’s a slut at Bankstown Trotting Club”.
During her six-hour ordeal, they called her an “Aussie pig”, asked if she liked “Leb c**k” and boasted: “I’m going to f*** you Leb style.”
She suffered every indignity, had a gun held to her head and, at the end, was hosed down like an animal.
“I looked in his eyes. I had never seen such indifference,” she told the court.
Ringleader Bilal Skaf was sentenced to 55 years jail, later reduced to 28 years.
It was the harshest sentence ever handed out for rape, reflecting the racist nature of the hate-crimes and Ms C’s extraordinary courage and credibility as a witness.

Here is the germ of resistance to Muslim total contempt for woman’s rights in Egypt. However it cannot possibly get anywhere in my opinion if the blogger won’t deal with what Mohamed said about women. How women, according to Mohamed, are all about sex all the time and it is all they want and they have to be controlled because of it etc. And of course, if this brave woman does deal with the ‘root cause’ of gang rape of women in Egypt she will likely be killed for blasphemy because she dared challenge the words and beliefs of the founder of Islam, Mohamed someone or other. Even so, this is a very brave and necessary first step and I congratulate her for it.

The Mayor of Tower Hamlets has been asked to say sorry to a young woman who was attacked by a sex pervert who picked her up in his illegal minicab.
Lutfur Rahman had given a ‘good character’ reference to the man which was used to try and convince a judge not to jail him.
Mr Rahman claimed the testimonial “was a genuine mistake” when he faced angry councillors at last night’s council meeting.
Zamal Uddin, 44, who sexually assaulted the 26-year-old woman in October, was jailed for 18 months and put on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years after admitting two charges of sexual assault and driving while disqualified.
Councillors challenged the Mayor over whether he knew Uddin faced serious criminal charges when he gave the testimonial.
“For you to say you ‘made a mistake’ is outrageous,” said Tory Opposition leader Peter Golds.
“You’re a solicitor and member of the Law Society—yet you gave a reference on Tower Hamlets notepaper for this corrupt, perverted criminal.
“You know better than anyone how the Law stands—you should apologise to the people of Tower Hamlets for your testimonial to a pervert who’s been recommended for deportation.”
Cllr Golds now plans to write to the Law Society over Lutfur’s testimonial.
Labour’s Rachael Saunders said: “I hope the mayor apologises to the woman to save the reputation of the council.”
Her colleague Bill Turner said: “Lutfur has acknowledged his mistake—but needs to explain what happened.”
The row led to a call for a register of testimonials which would be open to public scrutiny. All copies used for judicial and government agencies on council stationary would now be logged and kept on record, it was agreed.
Mayor Rahman later told the East London Advertiser: “This man’s family tricked me. They wanted a character reference but didn’t say it was for a court case.
“I knew nothing about any criminal case—they switched the reference and used it in a court case.”
But he had earlier written on a blogsite on the internet: “I was told he was in court due to a revocation of his driving license as he was not currently insured. They made the case to me that this was an oversight and a reference would help convince the judge he be allowed to retain his license as it was a ‘one off’ mistake.”
