I didn’t get the name in time for the actual video, but the translator is John L Work. I tend to err on the side of safety and if I don’t know how they want their name represented, I don’t post any. But John gave me that name and thank you very much for the hard and rapid work translating this video.

I wish those women in Muslim garb, decorating their kids all out in Islamic clothing and chanting to Allah, I wish those people who revel in the notion that Israel will be an Islamic state, would see this first.

In a blunt statement that attracted some attention in Europe,1 Giuseppe Germano Bernardini, a 72-year-old Italian who is archbishop of Izmir, Turkey, wrote the Synod of European Bishops on October 13, 1999, that Muslims have a “clear program of expansion and re-conquest” of Europe. He then called on the pope to convene a special Vatican meeting to find a common strategy toward Muslims living in Christian countries. This statement raised eyebrows because it so starkly contradicts the official church position.—The Editors

I have been living for the past forty-two years in Turkey, a country 99.9 percent Muslim, and I am the Archbishop of Izmir—Asia Minor—for the past sixteen years. The theme of my intervention is therefore obvious: the problem of Islam in Europe today and in the future … .

Egyptian Salafi Sheikh Mohammad Amer issued a fatwa prohibiting votes for Christian and secular candidates.

CARIO: Mohammad Amer, a Salafi Sheikh in Damanhur, Egypt, issued a fatwa prohibiting votes for any Christian, secular or liberal candidate, as well as any Muslim candidate who does not pray daily or call for the implementation of Shariah law.

The fatwa also prohibited voting for any former member of the dissolved National Democratic Party (NDP), associated with the regime of deposed President Hosni Mubarak, with the exception of a few “honorable” candidates.

Amer claimed that voting for any such candidate would constitute a grave sin.

“I want the voters to vote in favor of the candidates of the Islamic movements and to oppose those who want to separate religion from the state. There is nothing called liberalism in Islam and there is no absolute freedom in our religion,” he said to London’s Asharq al-Awsat newspaper, defending the move. Continue Reading →

(ANSAmed) – CAIRO, NOVEMBER 2 – The shapes of the mermaids that embellish the fountain of Zeus in the centre of Alexandria have been deemed “inappropriate” by the Salafist Al Nour (Light) party, which decided to “veil” them completely with a sheet during a meeting yesterday evening.

The incident, which was reported by the website of the Al Masri Al Youm newspaper, has unleashed a wave of comment and disbelief on Twitter, where the paper posted pictures “before and after the niqab” of the fountain of the sirens, upon which an enormous placard carries the words: “Egyptian women devote themselves to their husbands and their nation”.

Political leaders of the party, which is at the head of a coalition of Islamist parties that will stand in the forthcoming Egyptian elections from November 28, had recently announced that they were against the statues, deeming them contrary to Islamic tradition, the newspaper reports. “Covering a statue of sirens will certainly lead us to Paradise. I can’t wait,” was the ironic reaction of one Twitter user.

The electoral campaign for the first legislative elections of the post-Mubarak era officially began today and will end two days before the polls open. (ANSAmed).

Civilization. Why it works and how to destroy it.

In the article linked here, a Pakistani Judge is fleeing his country because he upheld Pakistani law. Specifically, he sentenced to death, someone who murdered an elected state official because that murderer did not agree with that officials view on a matter which contradicted the killers Islamic religion.

One could say the loss of a cooperative system where people suffer the mild outrages that democracy brings us all daily in order to create what is frankly, the most astonishingly safe, just, (in the real sense of just, not the rhetorical Islamic one) progressive in both ways, technologically (Bell Canada tech support not withstanding) and in terms of giving the physically weak an allotment of power before the state in nearly all ways, is due to any number of causes.

One can of course, distill the cause of things to whatever discipline we like to credit. From civilization to the behavior of dogs, one can supply evidence that the basic reason for these things can be anything from a certain gene, game theory, evolution of political systems or whatever disciple one likes as a causal factor.

This much I feel is safe to assume.

Islam, like pretty much any faith based system if it was allowed to determine the limits of behavior and public thought, will reverse the tolerant, cooperative nature of a community be it town city or nation state. Technology will reverse thankfully, making them in some ways less of a threat to their neighbors. Disease will flourish and the consequences of natural disasters will be exponentially greater than they are already. Witness the lack of issues with Japan’s recent triple horror Vs. a basic flood in Pakistan today for example.

The fact that a judge has to flee Pakistan for a most obvious and correct application of Pakistan’s law is just the most recent sign that a specific yet hard to define fabric of civilized society, one the rest of us take as given to the extent that we do not see it at all generally speaking, is coming unraveled. Meanwhile of course, we have the leftovers from the degree to which Pakistan was able to sustain a modern state. A.Q. Khan managed to steal enough methodology to build a fairly decent nuclear arsenal for Pakistan, while he was working as a technician in countries with an actual tradition of science and open inquiry. Perhaps this proves that people who do not understand the thought process that leads to great innovation should not be allowed to benefit from it. But then no creationist should ever be allowed to take an antibiotic and none of us nearly would be allowed to own a cell phone.

At the end of the day, what makes a civilization is a kind of thought. One which Islam is destroying world wide as quickly and aggressively as it can and which will leave areas of the world in the long term, facing biblical quality plagues and decimations and in the short term, with nuclear arsenals which are a profound threat to their more secular neighbors. One which we ourselves are failing to teach to our own young as if it was inherent and not necessary to reenforce.

It is always much easier to notice what you do not have than what you do.

It seems to me that if you add many of the crucial elements of WW1, the Ottoman empire and its desire for world conquest for Islam with Turkey as the head, and today, possibly Iran and or Egypt competing for that spot with Turkey, and you add some of the crucial elements of WW2, the Jew hatred, present in both Nazi-leftism and Islam,  both irrational and both highly motivating like religion itself, you get a decent picture of what WW3 looks like. Now the Nazi party of the USA has pitched in with the Occupy Wall Street protest, a distinctly socialist movement which pretends to represent the poor and oppressed but is actually sponsored by unions, the members of which are some of the best paid and have some of the best benefits, not to mention security and entitlements our various nations have to offer. (Warning: the link above actually does go to the American Nazi Party site. I’ll put a screen cap below in case anyone does not wish to have to click it and go there)

We have seen Islamic groups come out in favor of OCW in NYC to Tehran. Muslims, leftists (wealthy powerful unionists and their useful idiots) and Nazis all united by profound Jew hatred, often under the totem of anti-Israel and as often not, and the math looks pretty clear to me.

Analysis: Ennahda seeks “moderate” Shari’a state, but members have history of violence, current platform raises questions about role of Islam.

 

Western media routinely describe Tunisia’s Ennahda party as “moderately Islamist.” The once-banned movement’s own past, however, reveals a tendency to violence, and its current platform raises serious questions about the role of Islam in arguably the Arab world’s most secular state.

Ennahda, or “Renaissance” has its roots in the Islamist university groups that proliferated in the Muslim world’s universities following the 1979 Iranian Revolution. The party was officially founded in 1989, two years into the 14-year reign of president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

Two years later Ben Ali banned the party, and over the course of his term jailed tens of thousands of its leaders.

Ennahda was legalized in January of this year, following Ben Ali’s ouster in a month-long popular revolt. One thousand supporters welcomed back the party’s founder and leader, 70-yearold Rachid Ghannouchi, on his return to Tunis from European exile in January.

The Islamist party now appears set to take a majority, or at least a plurality, in the Arab world’s first post-revolutionary elections. Ballots were held Sunday and results are expected the following day.

 Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, the chairman of the National Transitional Council and de fact president, had already declared that Libyan laws in future would have Sharia, the Islamic code, as its “basic source”.

But that formulation can be interpreted in many ways – it was also the basis of Egypt’s largely secular constitution under President Hosni Mubarak, and remains so after his fall.

Mr Abdul-Jalil went further, specifically lifting immediately, by decree, one law from Col. Gaddafi’s era that he said was in conflict with Sharia – that banning polygamy.

In a blow to those who hoped to see Libya’s economy integrate further into the western world, he announced that in future bank regulations would ban the charging of interest, in line with Sharia. “Interest creates disease and hatred among people,” he said.

Gulf states like the United Arab Emirates, and other Muslim countries, have pioneered the development of Sharia-compliant banks which charge fees rather than interest for loans but they normally run alongside western-style banks. Continue Reading →

Post-revolt Tunisia wrestles with resurgent Islam

(Reuters) – For Walid, Tunisia’s revolution is an opportunity to turn one of the Arab world’s most secular countries towards Islam.

“We paid a heavy price for the revolution so we are not ready to let secularists and supporters of the Zionists control our destiny,” said the young man, with a beard and a long white robe, after prayers in the Omrane district of the capital.

“We want to respect our religion and to apply Islamic law in our country.

“We want Islamic schools all over the country … We do not want our women prevented from wearing the hijab and niqab (Islamic veils). We would like our country to be an Islamic country that does not allow taboo things, like wine.” Continue Reading →

Libya.

I have, up till now, not posted anything on Libya. This is because I do not see any point in competing with major news sources. I see my role as filling important gaps in news we aren’t typically allowed to see, and-or interpretation of events in a way that political correctness forbids the major media sources from doing. The news out of Libya has been ubiquitous. So no need to reproduce here what you can see everywhere.

It is comforting to note that the kinds of news stories which until recently have only appeared on sites like mine are now becoming more and more available from places like SUN NEWS NETWORK. Ezra Levant, Michael Coren, Charles Adler and others are finally doing what news services were initially meant to do in a democracy. Granted they are only three but still, three on TV is worth an awful lot of blogs.

I can say this however.

What I have seen taking place in Libya, is not what I would call an auspicious start to a modern liberal democracy. I don’t know exactly what Kaddafi did to his own people but from what reading I have done, on the standards of modern dictators, he was a lot better to Libyans than he was to the rest of the world. I can understand relatives and friends of the Lockerbie bombing wanting to sodomize him with sticks and kill him, but is this really the way a secular liberal democracy starts out? Or is this just the next block of the new Caliphate, run by Islamic conquerors intending to set the stage for WW3.
