Your guide to the story

Twenty-year-old terrorism suspect Mohamed Mohamud appeared in Portland’s federal courthouse Tuesday as his lawyers and government prosecutors argued over a laundry list of evidence sought by his defense team.

Mohamud, wearing standard blue jail scrubs and close-cropped hair, stared at the defense table throughout the roughly two-hour proceeding. It was hard to tell whether he was reading a court document or just listening carefully as lawyers argued before U.S. District Judge Garr M. King.

His appearance marked the first time he had appeared in court since shortly after his Nov. 26, 2010, arrest by the FBI.

The government accuses him of attempting to ignite a weapon of mass destruction next to Portland’s holiday tree lighting ceremony at Pioneer Courthouse Square. But the bomb, as it happens, was a harmless fake presented to Mohamud by undercover FBI operatives posing as terrorists.

Tuesday’s courtroom debate centered evidence that the defense team hopes to obtain about federal agents, informants and operatives that they accuse of entrapping Mohamud in a crime he wouldn’t have committed without them.

His trial is set for Oct. 2.

Major pedophile Muslim sex gang busted in the USA

Muslim pedophile sex slave and rape gangs. Not just for England anymore!

The video is originally from SDAMAT’s youtube page where there is a great deal more information on this bust. I fixed the aspect ratio and audio levels above.

Here is a link on information on this dated yesterday April 17th

A few brief clips of various Obama officials.

Typically I do make some effort, not always successful, but quite often I do resist posting matters of U.S. internal politics. It is easy to get caught up in partizan minutia which I find to be counter-productive more than anything else. I would prefer to take a geopolitical approach to a specific administration. However when the U.S. admin crosses into what I refer to as, ‘irrational leftism’ or Islam and it’s influence in the West it is very difficult not to post a great deal about the Obama administration. Here are just a few clips glued together with no editorializing at all.

Check out the reaction shot at 58 seconds. Utterly priceless.

Boston jihadi gets standing ovation on sentencing April 12 2012

This is a lot more bold and overt than I would have expected for this early stage of the jihad against the US and her values. As shocking as this is, it is the kind of misstep that may actually help wake enough of us up to begin to fight back.

Mainstream American Muslim Group Warns Muslims Against Working in Law Enforcement, Becoming “Pleased with a Legal System That Does Not Come from Allah”

From Translating Jihad:

The Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) cautioned American Muslims in a 22-page Arabic-language paper in 2008 against working in law enforcement in countries which do not rule by Allah’s dictates. One of their main concerns was that such work might cause Muslims to gain love and respect for secular laws:

…there are many evils which result from working in law enforcement, the greatest of which is compelling people to obey rulings which do not come from Allah. It could also cause reverence and love for these rulings to enter the heart of the police officer, and perhaps spread to the hearts of his family members and other Muslims who see him at the mosque or even Muslims in general. They could lose conviction of governance by Allah, and become pleased with a legal system that does not come from Allah. (italics added)

AMJA provided some allowances for Muslims to work in certain law enforcement professions, fearing that a lack of Muslim representation in this sector could bring negative effects for the Muslim community. They also reasoned that Muslims working as police officers might be able to use their positions to help the Muslim community, such as helping out with traffic near their mosques and protecting their mosques. Still, there was concern that some of these might be required to enforce laws contrary to the shari’a, such as “arrest[ing] a Muslim man whose wife said he ‘raped’ her.”

The AMJA paper specifically forbade Muslims from working for the FBI or in national security positions, due to their alleged arbitrary targeting of certain Muslims for “their political beliefs, charity work, or some of their convictions under the shari’a”–an apparent reference to counterterrorism investigations against Muslim suspects.

The paper also made clear that Muslims are to seek justice not in secular courts, but in Islamic courts which are compliant with their shari’a:  “It is not permissible to pursue justice in the man-made (i.e. non-Islamic) judiciary, except where there is an absence of a shari’a-compliant substitute capable of restoring one’s rights and working out one’s grievances” (see my translation of another AMJA paper on working in the judiciary here).

Fake ‘eviction notices’ scare Jewish students

You would think that university students would be educated, if not clever, enough to not fall for the kind of intellectual-slight-of-hand the leftist-Islamic alliance depends on for it’s daily bread.

The notion of inventing some fictitious crime, or spin doctoring a real event into a fictitious crime to give license for open, overt and blatant antisemitism is clearly a rhetorical tactic and, as I say, a kind of slight of hand. But it is so effective that many Jewish people have actually been swirled into this mentality, preferring either the sanctimony-high it gives them or perhaps the conciliatory, ‘let’s hope the crocodile eats us last’ strategy, Such as it is.

Not that this should need mentioning, but the attack here, the fake notices, where not for ‘zionists’ or Israelis. But for Jews. This would seem to me to demonstrate what readers of this site likely already know.

Israel is a totem for rabid, Islamic, and to a lesser degree perhaps, leftist raw antisemitism.

Even so, at the end of the day, it spells bad news for the state of modern universities if they are so easily led by such cheap logical fallacies. Or has logic itself become passé now?

When Rayna Exelbierd returned to her dorm room at Glades Park Tower on Florida Atlantic University’s Boca Ratoncampus last Friday, she found an “eviction notice” attached the door.

Exelbierd was one of more than 200 Jewish students in three dorms who received the fake notice from the campus group Students for Justice in Palestine.

“Some students who didn’t read the document believed they were really being evicted,” said Exelbierd, a 20-year-old sophomore from Memphis, Tenn.

The flier drew attention to Students for Justice in Palestine’s claim that about 25,000 homes have been demolished since the “occupation of Palestine” by Israeli troops began in 1967.

Noor Fawzy, who the university identified as a leader of Students for Justice in Palestine, could not be reached by email.

Exelbierd said students are very concerned. “We’re taking it very seriously,” she said. “We’re considering it a hate crime. The flier promotes hate; it doesn’t promote peace. People were scared by it. People felt threatened by it.”

Exelbierd and some of the other students who found the fliers on their doors met Wednesday at the offices of Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach on the Boca Raton campus to discuss the incident.
