Ukrainian feminists stage topless protest near Tower Bridge over Olympic body’s ‘support for bloody Islamist regimes’

Four topless activists from a women’s rights group were arrested today after they carried out a protest in central London.

Police were called to City Hall to deal with the protesters, who had accused the Olympics’ governing body of having supported ‘bloody’ Islamist regimes.

Pictures showed officers holding women on the ground and covering their chests.

One woman screamed as officers held her.

The demonstration near Tower Bridge, described as an ‘Islamic marathon’ by the protesters, was organised by the Ukrainian feminist group Femen.

Protesters said the demonstration was against ‘bloody’ Islamist regimes which they said had been supported by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

 

 

Some of the women had slogans marked on their bare chests. At least one carried the message: ‘No Sharia’.

Femen, a group based in Kiev, was founded in 2008.

The organisation has become internationally known for organizing topless protests against sex tourists, international marriage agencies, sexism and other social, national and international ills.

Its stated goals include developing ‘leadership, intellectual and moral qualities of the young women in Ukraine’ and to ‘build up the image of Ukraine, the country with great opportunities for women’.

In a statement published on its Facebook page, the protest group said a number of its French members had been arrested.

It called on the IOC to ‘condemn violence towards women from Islamist states’.

It said: ‘Femen requires the states that apply the laws of sharia be shut out of the Olympic games, because of the inhumanity of these laws, which are in total contradiction with Olympic principles that are peace and philanthropy.

‘Femen accuses these states of simulating democratic changes regarding the position of women.

I believe that this may be the first one that Gavin has lost. However he should not have. This was shot on a hidden camera so it is a bit hard to watch but you get the idea. Gavin is one of the front line people actually doing something to oppose the Islamification of Western nations. He needs and deserves all of our support.

Pork eating crusader patch is insulting to most Muslims

Oh I want a few of those. Kep in mind, it wouldn’t be insulting to them if insult to a Muslim didn’t really mean, ‘refusing to submit in every way to Islamic norms’

It seems “pork eating crusader patch” is a big hit among some of the troops in Afghanistan.

Not so much among the Muslim community however – who look at the patch as a symbol of America’s hatred and contempt for their religion.

In Islam “pork” is forbidden for religious reasons.

Promoting pork and the eating of pork is not permissible in Islam.

The “pork eating crusader” patch is sold online and are reported sometimes worn on soldier’s uniforms and gear as gimmicks and jokes.

“Salafism is the greatest threat to Belgium”

Salafism, the radical movement within Islam, poses the greatest threat to the Belgian democracy. That says Alain Winants, Administrator-General of the State Security. Winants also requires additional staff, so that his department can fully function.

Salafists are Muslims who believe the only true Islam was in the first three generations after the Prophet Muhammad. They try to live as if in that era and are hostile to modern values.

According to the State Security, it is a trend that wins more and more followers.

“They have created a parallel society and reject modern society. In parallel society that they have their own values, their own banks, their justice, their own medicine and their own education.”

Jumps jihadist Salafism is the most striking, then, according to Winants, political Salafism is an even greater threat, because it works as an insidious poison. In the long term trends can lead to a polarization within our society because of extreme right hand side already have looming organizations that fight against the Islamization of cities. “And that trend is much more disrupting for our country, because then extremist Muslims against the extreme right and extreme left is likely that there are still stirring.”

The banning of organizations just as Sharia4Belgium without attention to a broader economic or social plan makes no sense, says Winants. “But that is outside the competence of our service. Radicalism in itself is not prohibited if no call for violence comes with it. But I also think that in a democratic society we must dare to say that certain conduct is not tolerable. Many too often has been found that not against it or not immediately acted out of fear of being called racist. ”

The fight against the Salafism is complicated by the legal rule that no exceptional state security methods such as searches and wiretaps may be used in the context of extremism. In addition, says Alain Winants, the State Security needs at least another 95 to 100 persons needed for outside services in order to function optimally. Now the service in terms of personnel for outside services is at an extreme lower limit.

“This is a disturbing trend. I have informed the authorities that there is a minimum including intelligence and security can not go as one expects that all his tasks.”

Editor’s note: Below is a report of the July 9th International Conference for Free Speech and Human Rights, held in Brussels, Belgium. A video compilation of event highlights follows the report. 

I had the great pleasure of taking part in the International Conference for Free Speech and Human Rights on July 9, 2012 at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, sponsored by the International Civil Liberties Alliance. Representatives of 18 countries, the majority being from Europe but with the participation of Coptic Christians from Egypt as well as former Muslims, met to discuss the ongoing Islamization of Europe and the Western world and how to preserve our basic civil liberties.

Sabatina James, a young woman who left Islam for Christianity, told the audience her story, about how her family threatened to kill her. She now lives under witness protection. The punishment for leaving Islam is death, according to sharia law.

Christianity and was baptized during the 2008 Easter Vigil service in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. He, too, spoke at the conference.

Kevin Carroll For Police Commissioner!

Kevin Carroll, a founder of the English Defence League and now the joint vice-chairman of the British Freedom Party, is standing for police commissioner in Bedfordshire.

In order to file for the election, Kevin needs to raise a deposit of £5000 (about $7860). Any Briton (or friend of Britain) who wants to see real political change in the UK should dig deep and help Kevin get his name on the ballot.

Like other leaders, members, and supporters of British Freedom, Kevin represents the age-old tradition of British liberty, which has been sorely neglected for the last few decades. As police commissioner he would be in a position to advocate for policies that would help restore true civil order to a country that has long been deprived of it.

“It’s Pretty Late in the Day”

In a Constitution Subcommittee hearing yesterday, Congressman Trent Franks (AZ-02) questioned Assistant Attorney General, Thomas Perez, over the Administration’s commitment to 1st Amendment rights. Franks’ questions were prompted by a Daily Caller article from late last year in which Perez was quoted as warmly embracing the proposals of Islamist advocates in a meeting at George Washington University, among them a request for “a legal declaration that U.S. citizens’ criticism of Islam constitutes racial discrimination.”

Perez reportedly ended the meeting with an enthusiastic closing speech and was quoted as saying, “I sat here the entire time, taking notes…I have some very concrete thoughts … in the aftermath of this.”

In yesterday’s hearing, Chairman Franks asked Perez to affirm that the Administration would “never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion?” Perez refused.

A Muslim hospital consultant was told yesterday that he must pay his ex-wife maintenance even though under Islamic rules he believes he owes her nothing.

A judge told Dr Zaid Al-Saffar that he must follow ‘the rule in this country’ and share his money.

The Appeal Court decision means Dr Al-Saffar must pay £60,000 to his former wife, academic Hanan Al-Saffar.

The ruling sounded a warning to Muslim couples who believe their marriages are ordered according to sharia law and agree to be bound by Islamic courts.

Lord Justice Ward told Dr Al-Saffar: ‘The rule in this country is that you share and the starting point is equal division.

‘You came out of the marriage without having made your wife any substantial capital payment.’

He added: ‘Life is sometimes hard; do not be consumed with bitterness.’

But Dr Al-Saffar said after the case: ‘By playing the system and pretending to be a victim she got everything, which I think is totally unfair.

‘Family law in this country is biased against Muslim people.’

Mosque’s Loud Prayer Generates Mega-Decibel ‘Battle of the Bands’

After the French Hill neighborhood of Jerusalem has decided to play very loud music, in defiance of the volume and disturbance of the sound of the muezzin at the mosque in nearby Al-Issawiya, two additional Jewish neighborhoods, Pisgat Ze’ev and Har Choma, have announced that they, too, will take up a similar approach. French Hill also decided to go with hard rock, and not Mediterranean tunes, as had originally been planned, because, as they put it, hard rock is more likely to deliver the message.

According to Yediot Jerusalem, the French Hill neighborhood has recently approached an amplification company with an order for four huge speakers to be directed at Al-Isawiya. As soon as the village muezzin will start his exceedingly loud prayer, it will be responded to with ear shattering Rock n’ Roll, letting local Arabs understand how disturbing the loud prayers have been to their Jewish neighbors.

Har Choma and Pisgat Ze’ev residents are waiting to see the results from the French Hill “pilot.” If the protest via rock blasts succeeds, the other two neighborhoods, situated on the border of the Jerusalem municipality, will follow suit.
