City University London locks Muslim prayer room on Fridays

City University in London City University London said it needed to be sure of the “appropriateness” of sermons

City University in London has been accused of discrimination by a group of Muslim students after it started locking a room used for Friday prayers.

A group of students have formed Muslim Voices on Campus, calling on the university to reverse its decision.

The group said it was being “unjustly targeted”.

City said it acted because students had refused to submit the proposed content of sermons to the university before prayers to check its “appropriateness”.

Wasif Sheikh, who leads the group, said: “We feel we are being unjustly targeted. All of our sermons are open, we welcome all students and all staff.

“But when you start submitting your sermons to be monitored and scrutinised then there’s a chance for it to be dictated what’s allowed and what’s not allowed. We, as students, don’t accept that.”

Geert Wilders, the Dutch political leader now on a speaking tour of Australia, has not only had his speeches blockaded by violent demonstrators trying to stop Australians from hearing him.

He has not only been vilified in the media for trying to warn that Islam as an ideology is a menace to Western values and freedoms – from the freedom to speak to even identify as gay.

Depressingly, he has even been shunned by Opposition Leader Tony Abbott and Jewish community leaders. It seems to me that political or community advantage is being put before principle – and fear is preventing a rational discussion of Wilders’ message.

It’s driven Abbott, even Abbott, to misrepresent what Wilders is in fact saying and play blind to the issue he actually raises – which is about the nature of Islam, not its followers:

Mr Abbott said Wilders’ was “substantially” wrong about Islam and the preparedness of Muslims living in Australia to integrate.

Swedish artist to paint Mohammed after death threats

Anyone wanting to know what a real man looks like, need to look no farther than Lars Vilks. If just 5% of the non-Muslim world had his kind of courage and integrity and was ready to sacrifice comfort and security for principles which would have given those attributes to all of us, then we would have won this thing before it started.

AFP – A Swedish artist who received death threats after depicting the Prophet Mohammed as a dog said Wednesday he would display new paintings of the prophet at an exhibition in the immigrant-heavy city of Malmoe later this year.

“It’s important to continue because if you yield to the threats and back away, you have abandoned the democratic principle,” Lars Vilks said.

The artist has faced numerous death threats since his drawing of the Muslim prophet with the body of a dog was first published by Swedish regional daily Nerikes Allehanda in 2007, illustrating an editorial on the importance of freedom of expression.

‘Knockout Game’ perp shot, killed

Another excellent reason to make sure that people are allowed to own firearms. It is the single existent way to level the playing field between some huge aggressive attacker, and a housewife or older person or the weak and the infirm.

Tiffany Thompson got her wish: Demetrius Murphy met the “Right Person” and he will not be playing the Knockout Game any more. Ever.

A St. Louis homeowner shot Murphy dead late last week during a burglary. And a whole lot of people in St. Louis feel relieved, if not safer.

Murphy was a member of a group that is credited with making the Knockout Game a St. Louis tradition, then a national pasttime.

The rules of the Knockout Game are simple: Begin with a bunch of black people. Anywhere from three to 30.

Find a white person, but an Asian will do. Alone is important. Older is better. Weak and defenseless even more so.

Dutch political leader Geert Wilders, now on a speaking tour of Australia, on why he came to fear Islam:

In the Islamic world, I was always struck by two things. I was impressed by the kindness and helpfulness of many people. But there was also their fear. Islamic societies are ruled by terror. Muslims are good people, but they live under the yoke of Islamic sharia. If they leave Islam, or even just mildly criticise it, they sign their own death verdict.

I returned to The Netherlands and became a politician. I used to live in the Kanaleneiland district of Utrecht. During my years there, the district was transformed into a dangerous neighbourhood for non-Muslims. I have been robbed. On several occasions I had to run for safety. The same transformation happened in several cities in The Netherlands and other European countries where Islam settled. Europe is going through an Islamification process, which makes our continent less free and less safe.

Contrary to what many Westerners think, Islam, rather than a religion, is a totalitarian political ideology. It is an ideology because it aims for an Islamic state and wants to impose sharia on all of us. It is totalitarian because it is not voluntary: once you are in, you cannot get out. Unlike genuine religions, Islam also makes demands on non-Muslims. We, too, are marked for death if we criticise it.

For nine years I have been living under constant police protection. I live in a government safe house. I am driven every day to my office in an armoured police car. I have even lived in army barracks and prison cells just to be safe from assassins. I am threatened because I am a a critic of Islam.

Some critics will scoff, knowing that to do so puts them in no danger at all. It will make them seem more tolerant, and enable them to walk down the street in danger of nothing but praise from the like-minded.

Preserve the national identity For the orthodox bishop, Seraphim of Piraeus, Greece must preserve her national identity. Some think that such a mosque would  favour illegal immigration. That is the main reason. Another one is financial: Greece does not have the funds to build a mosque.

So, on cue, the prime minister of Turkey arrives and offers to finance the construction. Heroically in an islamised Europe, the Greek minister rejects the offer from Erdogan!

What an example for France, whose  huge mosque of Venissieux with its four minarets demonstrates the ease with which some collaborate with those who would have France disappear. Deeply in debt, the rejection of this proposition is proof of Greece’s rejection of islam and the positive influence that the orthodox church has on the country.

Athens is likely to remain the European exception for some time yet, because the Greeks are seriously fed up with the muslims.

French anti semitism

Please see below the shocking statement by a 16 year old girl in Paris, detailing the anti-Jewish assaults and hatred she has endured for two years, until her mother pulled her from the school.

It was sent to us by her mother, asking for help, particularly in finding employment in London. She is coming to escape the violence and malice in her home town. Unfortunately, we have no job to give her. I wish we had.

If you can give her any help, please let us know, even if it is only advice or moral support. She needs it. France is currently worse than Britain. Consider how it is to discover that your child has suffered this, and to meet nothing but denial from the authorities given the duty to protect you.

If you’re grateful for anything we have done, then you needn’t help us, but please think if you can help her.

“At school in the St Denis area of Paris the humiliations were constant. They were designed to make me feel abnormal, deformed, disgusting. Psychological and physical humiliation.

Everything I said or did were constantly scrutinized, criticized, belittled, and turned around in order to mock me in public. As were all my physical characteristics. “For fun”. This was every day for two years, each week worse than the last one.

When not actively mocked and harmed, I was ignored.

If there was group work, I was forcibly excluded: nobody wanted to team up with a “nasty Jew”. Never any help from anybody. In German lessons, Nazi crosses were drawn on my desk. They were in ink, except for one which was engraved in the wood. When I saw pointed out these swastikas to the teacher, she erased the ink one while saying that it was nothing, and merely a coincidence that it was on my table. The engraved cross stayed on my table during the whole year.

Some examples of physical violence used against me: one day I was surrounded by about fifty children, with three girls (2 Muslims and 1 Catholic) close to me who took it in turns to hit me. The game was to see who could hit me the hardest. Others looked on and laughed, while others said that was what a “Nasty Jew” deserved – a typical insult against me.

NZ First leader Winston Peters says one of his MPs has not incited hatred by saying Muslims shouldn’t be allowed on planes.

Richard Prosser said young men who were Muslim, “look like a Muslim” or came from a Muslim country should not be permitted to fly on “western” airlines, in an article he wrote for Investigate magazine.
