In Canadian that would be around CDN $20.85 per lbs.

At Loblaws, which is maybe the biggest Canadian grocery chain and a reasonable metric for average food price:

I am doing this post because I ran into a business man who has a well known large company that moved it and his other interests from Canada to the USA. In a casual conversation with him, he said that food in the most expensive Nevada grocery store was in fact cheaper than it is in Food basics, one of Canada allegedly least expensive food outlets.

I would say he is right.

The US has 10X the population of Canada. The reason for this imbalance is almost certainly government and the regulations and road blocks it gives farmers, largely in the form of Lines of Action such as “Carbon Tax” which makes farming nearly altogether impossible for Canadian farmers.

We have Mark Carney, the current leader of the state himself saying many years before he was in the position he is in now, explaining that Canadians will eat less meat and life will be harder. By design. Not because of some disaster, or at least not a natural one.

It might also be because Canada has decided to bring in MILLIONS of people who all eat, and few of them appear to do any useful work. Fewer likely farm.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Canada was the lucky recipient of hundreds or thousands of Dutch Farmers who wanted to farm knew how to farm and were willing to bust their humps at menial labour to save money to buy a farm and then work it.

I know some personally. Now we are literally plowing over the best farmland in Canada and some of the best anywhere to build beehives for illegal migrants.

This makes higher food prices an additional hidden tax for the government plan to deracinate legacy Canada.

But it’s a fact. The Muslim Brotherhood is indeed doing exactly that. The Project, and the Memorandum both explicitly state what the plan is for religious Muslims to do as it is specified within Islam’s own canon. My guess based on how things have been in Canada for the last 20 years or so, is people who make factual and verifiable claims about certain groups will face persecution, while people who launch massive conspiracies about Jews, which takes place in every mosque every day, will not. Why can we say this? Because it has already been tested when Muslims have broken existing and far more rational ‘hate crimes laws’ if such a thing is possible.

In any case, anyone who thinks this is great and antisemitism will be illegal and finally Jew will be protected from hate yada yada wuzza wuzza, lemme tells ya, that ain’t how it’s gonna go.

It will massively increase hatred of Jews who will be seen, and partially correctly, as being the architects of destroying freedom of speech. They will suddenly appear to be that exact thing which people have accused Jews of being forever. A tiny group that controls everything. And there will only be enforcement against whatever target suits the real interests of the state. Chances are extremely high that groups like the dialectically named, “Canadian Anti-Hate Network” will fund a few Nazis like Second Sons or Diagalon, and the state will pick off a few of them to make examples of them. We can say that with high confidence because their parent organization the SPLC was funding every hate group they could find.

But no charges against any mosques that actually demand genocide of the Jews at pretty much every prayer session and twice on Fridays.

Ezra Levant: Thanks to floor crossers, Carney can now ram through his spy bill

Using his newly acquired majority, Carney’s government has moved to dramatically curtail debate on Bill C-22, the so-called lawful access bill.

The answer? It is a direct assault on parliamentary democracy and your freedoms.

Last year, Mark Carney won the election with just 43 percent of the vote. That delivered him 169 seats out of 343 in the House of Commons, three short of the 172 needed for a majority. Canadians deliberately gave him a minority government. Sometimes voters do that on purpose, wanting to keep a politician on a shorter leash and force him to work with Parliament rather than dominate it.

But Carney was not content with the verdict of the electorate. While the political establishment spent years warning that Donald Trump might refuse to accept election results, Carney set about changing his own. By persuading a string of opposition MPs to cross the floor, he secured the majority Canadians had declined to give him at the ballot box.

The obvious question is why? Justin Trudeau governed for nearly a decade without a formal majority, relying on NDP support to pass budgets and survive confidence votes. There was little reason to believe Carney could not have done the same.

Ezra’s answer is that Carney wanted something more than legislative support. He wanted the ability to shut down parliamentary scrutiny itself.

That is now on full display.

The legislation would compel technology companies to retain user data for up to a year and make that information available to government authorities. Civil liberties advocates have raised serious concerns about privacy, government overreach and the expansion of state surveillance powers.

The concerns are hardly theoretical. Canadians have already witnessed a government willing to freeze bank accounts and invoke extraordinary powers during the trucker protests. Mark Carney himself, while living in Europe at the time, wrote in The Globe and Mail that Ottawa should take a harder line against convoy participants and their supporters. It is therefore not surprising that critics view Bill C-22 as part of a broader push toward greater state control.

What makes the situation particularly troubling is not only the substance of the legislation but the manner in which it is being advanced.

The government has introduced a motion declaring that, notwithstanding any standing order or usual practice of the House, Bill C-22 will be pushed through Parliament on an accelerated timetable. In plain English, the normal rules are being set aside.

Committee members will have just 30 minutes to complete clause-by-clause consideration of the bill. Any remaining amendments will be deemed moved and voted upon without further debate. The legislation will then move rapidly through report stage and third reading with strictly limited speaking time for opposition parties and virtually no opportunity for extended scrutiny.

For a bill that constitutes one of the most significant expansions of government surveillance powers in Canadian history, Parliament is being afforded remarkably little time to examine the details.

Professor Michael Geist, one of Canada’s leading experts on technology law and digital policy, has publicly criticized the government’s approach. Geist argues that hearings are being cut short, amendments are being rushed through without proper discussion, and the public is being denied the transparency normally expected during the legislative process. His warning is not about partisan politics but about the erosion of parliamentary accountability.

This is why Carney needed those extra seats.

The issue is not merely that opposition MPs crossed the floor. It is what those additional seats are now being used to accomplish. This is a double violation of democratic principles: first, altering the balance of Parliament after voters had already spoken; and second, using that altered balance to restrict Parliament’s ability to debate, amend and scrutinize legislation.

The implications extend beyond a single bill. Across Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Australia, governments are increasingly embracing online surveillance measures, age-verification requirements and expanded regulatory control over digital spaces. These initiatives are almost always presented as necessary protections for children or public safety, yet they also require citizens to surrender more privacy and give governments more information about their online activities.

It is a stark contrast to the vision of technological progress championed by figures such as Elon Musk, who promote innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence and the expansion of human potential. One approach sees technology as a tool of freedom and advancement. The other increasingly treats it as something to be monitored, regulated and controlled.

This is what an unchecked majority can look like under Mark Carney: Parliament reduced to a rubber stamp, debate curtailed, privacy placed at risk and major legislation rushed through with minimal scrutiny.

Canadians deserve better.

The democratic process only matters if it is respected when it becomes inconvenient. If Parliament is no longer permitted to properly examine legislation, question witnesses or challenge the government of the day, then the institution itself is diminished. That should concern every Canadian regardless of political affiliation.

 

The right of exit from Canada is being removed one step at a time: First step, massive financial pain

During Covid, we did at least one, if not multiple posts on what we viewed as at minimum, a trial run of communism in a number of aspects.

The last right in any free society, is the right to leave. To say you don’t like it whenever you are, and bug out for greener pastures. That after all, is what millions upon millions of religious muslims did to their Muslim countries in order to come to the West and make them Muslim countries after all.

During Covid, Canada implemented a program where you could not leave the country, or even travel within it without the right papers. Only, to get those papers, you had to take two of a potentially lethal and often very damaging experimental mRNA injection or often more when the first boosters came out, in order to be able to board any kind of transportation beyond a private car.

As I recall, there were actual provincial roadblocks between Ontario and Quebec and other Canadian provinces to check for these papers, if you were allowed to cross at all.

Naturally the state under Trudeau used the opportunity to print millions upon millions of dollars to ‘develop an app’ that would track people’s movements and allegedly streamline the process of the state allowing people to leave, again, the most fundamental right in a free society, or make it easy for them to prevent or allow nationals to return. Another fundamental right by the way, is the right of citizens to enter their own country.

Although Carney himself answers questions in this interview in typical Emperor’s New Clothes fashion, in other words, incomprehensibly but in a way that makes you feel that you are the stupid one if you don’t pretend to understand admire its wisdom, the initial question and the nature of the person who asks the question makes it all very clear. Why did Carney agree to be interviewed by Irish Communist, Alex White SC. A former Labour Party politician.

Fist, for those that don’t know who Antonio Gramsci is, look at this very brief summary in Key Wiki:

As an interesting aside, Pete Buttigieg, who was US secretary of Transportation under Biden (Obama’s 3rd term) was the son of Joseph Biden, who was the founding president of the International Gramsci Society, and spent much of his academic career translating and editing the definitive English edition of Gramsci’s prison diaries. He was a Marxist prof. of literature at Notre Dame.

So for Carney to be discussing accomplishing Gramsci’s vision with an Irish communist, well as the expression goes, “There are none so blind as those who will not see.” -John Heywood, 1546.

A few items on Canada’s communist bill, C-22

1. We have seen more pushback on Bill C-22 than we have on what are arguably at least, more intrusive bills like C-4. C-4 was where the state has the right to talk your child into getting surgery and chemical regimens that would sterilize them and create medical experiments out of them, while potentially jailing parents for up to 5 years merely for attempting to talk them out of it. These procedures which are somewhat between Joseph mengele and Dr. Frankenstein. drastically raises the suicide rate and lowers the happiness rate of these children. That for us here at VTB was the most authoritarian and communist bill. Communist in that the children then belonged to the state. It should be added that Dr. Frankenstein at least had the decency to experiment on corpses. Not Children.

But the pushback against C-22 is really showing up on my various info-sources. Which is a great thing. Of course on people who don’t know about it or are not against it, they won’t see this material at all. So will logically pass over these objections as crazy conspiracy theories as they head down to the pharmacy for their 11th mRNA Covid gene therapy shot.

In the video below, he details some aspects of that bill that have been softened. These things were almost certainly trial balloons. Or perhaps more accurately, let’s call them context decoys. The way that works is, I want to pass a bill that lets me steal half your stuff and turn half your children into slaves. So my initial bill states that I can take all your stuff anytime I want and under any conditions, and your children can be herded into cattle cars for my purpose, and then after some light pushback from a few politicians, I get exactly what I wanted in the first place and maybe even a little more. Thinking about that as you listen to the video below may offer a little more clarity.

Bill C-22 Surveils Ordinary Canadians While Leaving Cartel Networks Untouched

Dean of Law, Bruce Pardy discusses bull C-63 with Jordan Peterson. I think a great deal of what is said in this video can be applied to C-22 as the issues are the same. This is however, one hour and fifty minutes. So maybe it is for those who are deeply concerned with this issue. If so, again you can listen while doing other things. I will likely focus on the entire video as I do household chores because I am certain it is worth the time. This is a two year old video as well. But the actual issue, state overreach to create a totalitarian surveillance state, is as current as ever.

John Carpay on bill C-22. John Carpay is the head of the JCCF, a Canadian constitutional law firm and one of about 3 I know of that actually works towards preserving individual rights in Canada, as opposed to destroying them.

 

There were other bills that were of a similar nature, some of which included retroactive prosecution. In other words, if you had done something when it was not a crime after they passed this bill, the state could prosecute you after they passed the bill.

The videos on that are below and shot in Ottawa of John Carpay explaining the exact details. The bills died when they did not get passed by the Senate. But there have been indications that Carney intends to resurrect them, or likely draft new ones with the same intentions.

Although the following thing seems relatively trivial, it goes to the deracination of Canadian history and culture.

Some of you might have seen photos in the banner of a number of guards in front of the Governor General’s estates in Ottawa taken a couple of years ago at a Changing of the Guard ceremony. It used to take place every and all summer with some frequency. It did not happen last year at it appears that it will not this year, as the little guard huts placed in front of the GG gates are no longer there.

The banner photos show the traditional Bear Skin tall hats (now synthetic) the guards wear and the bright red tunics and black pants they wore as well as some with a Scottish military Kilt on other guards.

We will check if this still takes place downtown, but even that ceremony, the main one, was scaled back dramatically last time we checked.

Armed agents seen at Chinese energy project in northern Alberta

‘The driver said three armed guards remained in shadowed areas’

A truck driver who delivered drilling mud to a PetroChina-operated site near Fort McMurray says he saw three guards carrying banned assault rifles.

In a text message shared by Alberta independence advocate Jeffrey Rath, the driver said he was escorted to the unloading area and allowed to leave his truck only to untie the load. Site personnel directed the loader, which the driver said is not typical at other locations.

The driver said three armed guards remained in shadowed areas. When he asked his escort about them, he was told they were “with PetroChina” and not to ask further questions.

Citing his military service, the driver identified the firearms as automatic AK-47 assault rifles with what appeared to be at least 30-round magazines.

It is illegal in Canada, including Alberta, for private security at industrial sites to openly carry AK-47-style firearms with large-capacity magazines. The AK-47 and its variants are federally classified as prohibited firearms, banned for private possession and use except in rare, unrelated circumstances.

“The broader story here is that’s not at all unusual as to how China operates,” Rath told the Westgate Sentinel. “My question for Albertans, is this what we want to turn our oil patch into, a whole bunch of Chinese prison camps in northern Alberta?”

Rath added, “Who the hell in Alberta voted for that?”

Mark Carney in China promises new era of STRATEGIC partnership with Communist Chinese, and a NEW – WORLD – ORDER

All you people with Trump Derangement Syndrome, or as we think of it, those who participate in the state run “two minutes of hate” which is pretty much continuous in Canadian state media, the consequences of this are on you.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, it is also on us. Except maybe Alberta. Or if President Trump somehow does manage to create a 51st state with Canada, and thereby restore something of an individualist republic.

Equally concerning is what Carney means when he uses the word, “stability”. For some reason my secret dialectic to English decoder ring heard that as “increased oppression to the point of no resistance”.

One may suspect that Carney used the word, “stability” as a synonym for social cohesion.

 

Mark Carney and the New Soviet style block of Canada and the EU

A couple of things about Mark Carney, now that the Soviet past of Kier Starmer has been exposed by the Daily Mail. (See our post from a few days ago)

A little note here before we get going on this list of prima facia evidences that a communist takeover of Western nations has taken place. A couple of the reasons people do not believe it, or cannot take it seriously, is that A. They do not know what communism is, and when their associates, friends and even relatives who escaped from behind the Iron Curtain try and tell them why they risked life and limb, left their families and friends and careers/jobs to risk it all in a free country, they are looked on as eccentric foreigners who don’t know anything about their countries of origins. I know. I remember thinking that way about a Christian Lebanese man who ran a diner back in the 70s and had a complete meltdown at me in his restaurant when I gave him some relativist garbage about Islam and Lebanon. Guess who was right there? HINT: It wasn’t the sanctimonious Canadian kid.
B. Because people cannot comprehend that subversion and infiltration could happen at the highest levels. For them I would recommend reading Diana West’s books, The Red Thread and American Betrayal.

And if that doesn’t do it, and it won’t because no one will actually read those books unless they are already receptive to the idea that the US has in fact been heavily penetrated by the COMINTERN already, then get the book by an ex Soviet ‘influencer’ at a very high level who had an actual epiphany and became a Patriot and a Christian, The Whitaker Chambers book called Witness. This reads like a spy novel as Whitaker was actually an excellent writer of propaganda for the Soviets, so when he decided to tell the truth about his life and subversive activities, he made it a very interesting and easy read.

And if you can’t get people to try any of those, this is a free audio book on YouTube called. School of Darkness, by soviet agent, Bella Dodd about the work she did to destroy the US by having pedophiles and homosexuals join the Catholic Church as clergy and creating teacher’s unions for the sole purpose of transforming schools into Communist indoctrination centres. She also repeatedly mentions the effort the COMINTERN put, into electing a Democrat President FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. This is a worthy book. For those that know how, download it to your phones or load it on your phones and listen while doing errands or walking the dog or what have you. This is communist subversion as it actually happened 101. Unlike Yuri Bezmenov and for that matter, George Orwell who tried to tell us how it will happen and what it will be like when it does respectively.

Lastly, in the UK during the Cold War, the head, the top guy, of one of the most mission critical British intelligence agencies, Sir Roger Hollis, Director-General of MI5 (1956–1965) was a Soviet mole. He taunted the Brits by having a photo in his office of the Ural Mountains taken from the wrong side. And although that was never proven, all the accusations fit like a glove. But Kim Philby, of MI6 (SIS) Head of the Anti-Soviet section actually was 100% PROVEN to be a Soviet mole.

“Liberals” have snuck in a Digital ID app out of nowhere

As a partial aside, Moose mentions the Century Initiative and connects Mark Carney to it, but missed this, when Carney was a guest speaker at least year’s meeting.

The EU is a communist entity, like the UN. And suddenly Carney’s antipathy to the US makes perfect sense. He clearly WANTED to have a reason to disengage with the US specifically in order to become part of the new COMINTERN entity, the EU and UN. The US is resisting that for the moment. Watch the video above. Although this is not so much about Carney making money. This is about destroying your most fundamental liberties, even in your own head.

We see this already in action. Talk to anyone who believes in a state narrative such as CO2 produced by human industry is destroying the climate, or conversely talk to anyone who buys into the various narratives that the mRNA injections were an untested experimental gene therapy or that there are no mass graves at residential schools etc. etc. ad nauseam. You will see how within their own heads they already cannot process information that is in opposition to narrative beliefs, even if you show them proof from climatologists or Pfizer itself, or the staggering lack of proof of residential graves and the total unwillingness to actually try to find any.

Now I have NOT Fact checked this following video. It intuitively tracks, and most likely enough of it is factual for its purpose, whatever it is. But it is worth watching. And if ANYONE knows for a fact that any of the claims in this video are true, or not true, or true with a qualifier PLEASE leave your observations in the comments. Some of this is easy public record though, so well worth posting. The thesis of this post of course is that Carney is a central component of the Western COMINTERN effort to take down individualist society, as he pretty much says in his own book albeit not directly. Instead he says Capitalism is the problem with the West and that Marx, Engles and Lenin are his inspiration. So this video belongs here.

Canada has signed on to more criminalization of counter-narrative speech at the Brazil climate con

Canada appears to have been part of a project to fly the above-the-law elites to Brazil, let them drive on a new private highway paved through the jungle to a special destination to press the world’s people using the climate change Line of Operation. In a new document, they are doing what we all knew they would do in Canada, except nearly globally with the US sitting this one out. They are going to more bluntly criminalize science. That is to say, any science which disputes the Global Warming mass line narrative attack will be punishable in more legitimized ways than merely debunking or other extra legal means.

We strongly recommend watching this video by Tom Harris if you want to see what science looks like, and what is about to be overtly illegal, instead of covertly illegal which it already is.

To be clear, we are not saying that what Tom says here is capital T Truth. But we are saying that what Tom is doing is capital S Science. This is how science is done and how it works. You take a hypothesis or theory which must by falsifiable and look at it and use real evdidence and measurements to see if it holds up to scrutiny. The Man-caused global warming by CO2 hypothesis is so wrong, one doesn’t even need to understand any climate science. You just look at the predictions the model generates and note that every. single. one. is wrong. Every one of them. If the model has zero predictive ability it’s garbage. But the harder you look the worse the theory gets.

Tom shows that in fact, planet earth is at a catastrophically low atmospheric level. A little lower than it is, and all life on earth ends. This tracks with reason and ice core samples of CO2 levels from the past.

It may or may not be true. But it is testable to a point. And an increase in CO2 by a few parts per million seems like a good idea, as does a slightly warmer earth for that matter. A warmer Canada would be a better way to keep Canadians from going to Florida than starting a freaking trade war with the United States.

But while it is interesting to show the lies the dialectical Lines of Operation against Western peoples use to destroy all individuality, liberty and identity, the issue remains. The state is using various tools to destroy these things, Arguing vaccine science and climate science etc. etc. etc. ad inf. is fun for those that can do it and have the time and energy to become expert at things for which they previously had zero interest. But that itself is a distraction.

Like the Covid vaxx and measures, the climate  narrative only needs one response.

I don’t give a damn if it’s true. The state has not and must not have the right to legislate and force these things on us, even if they are correct. The fact that they are not is infuriating, and reveals the true purpose of these narrative attacks. To become a God like state. To obliterate the individual. To deracinate our cultures and history. But in truth, the reality of the claims runs a distant second to the mere fact that it should not even have been raised by the state in a ‘democracy’ or republic at all.

As stated earlier in the previous post, we think that the seventy five MILLION dollar ‘commercial’ or anti-Trump propaganda effort by the COMINTERN representatives in Canada and Ontario was intended to provoke an all too predictible reaction by Trump and then to use it to gin up hatred of Trump and unity among Liberal supporters to get Carney a majority government in what is potentially a non-confidence dissolve of Parliament when he tries to pass his first communist budget in a few weeks.

Journalist Brian Lilley, who has in the past covered for Ford for reasons I do not know, appears to be doing so again. He claims the advert was totally legit and not deceptive or edited out of context at all. Which it was.

Below is the entire video of Raegan explaining his views on tariffs. What Carney-Ford left out was that Raegan explained clearly that sometimes you have to apply tariffs when a trading partner is not playing fairly with you, taking advantage of a situation or being deceptive with you.

That means that yes, Ford-Carney absolutely misrepresented this Raegan speech completely. Trump has only been applying tariffs to trading partners that have for a very long time been acting either in violation of the letter of trade deals or the spirit of them. An example of which might be agreeing to not do a thing, then renaming the thing and continuing to do it. Something as Canadian as Maple Syrup.

Digital ID in Canada: Without fact checking this video, it is consistent with all the other legislation being passed by Parliament since Trudeau/Carney took over.

No matter how accurate the analysis of the presenter s, we do see a brilliant and diamond clear example of the classic interpretation of problem, reaction solution. The state brings in millions of hostile illegals to the UK and funds them (as they do in Canada) and then claims the nation needs a digital ID because they have to cope with the problem of illegals working. This is ludicrous at so many levels it qualifies as Kafkaesque. The illegals likely don’t have to work as they get rather nice hotels and better meals than they did at home. Digital ID will likely not stop them from doing anything the state claims they don’t want them to do. Digital ID will give the state unprecedented control over the indigenous population of GB and likely the illegals will not be required to get digital ID in much the same way they were not required to take the mRNA injections in Canada and the USA.

One prediction:

During Covid, we saw the Canadian government destroy (temporarily at first) the most fundamental component of a republic or ‘democracy’. And that was the right of exit. The right to leave the country if you wanted to, for whatever reason. They used Covid to stop you from leaving Canada at one point.

You can bet the last coin you have in your pocket that once this is implemented, you will not be able to pack up and go somewhere less fascistic/communist. Canada will become a prison.

Those of you in a position to get a secure bolt hole in some other country where the threat of totalitarianism is less imminent may be well advised to do so now.

Carney intends to pass bill negating all law and parliamentary oversight, and Diablo ex Machina, on AI and keeping your wits

According to the National Post, and FWIW they have an excellent track record of predicting Carney’s motives, intentions and actions, his proposed bill, C-5, which he intends to make into law by July 1, 2025, and who the Controlled op parties of Pierre and Singh appear to have zero objections as usual, would allow the Liberal Party, AKA government of Canada (Remember, the hammer and sickle is not the communist flag, but is the flag of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. In communism, it is all about the party. Or, as the Germans used to say, “die Partei”) completely bypass any and all parliamentary scrutiny.

C-5 would allow the Carney Party to add any project it wants to a special list by OIC (Order in Council) and would also grant them the power to suspend any and all national laws by adding them to a related list. The govt. would merely have to write a regulation detailing which laws no longer apply to what projects.

2. Diablo ex machina

There is a more or less common expression in writing one hears from time to time. “Deus ex machine” for ‘God is in the machinery’, god in the works, gods in the works maybe better as it was an Ancient Greek literary device. It is still used very often today albeit different gods in different manifestations. But the idea was that when the plot of a play had put a character into an impossible situation, one of the Gods would come down and save him somehow using supernatural powers.

Using and reading about AI in the past week, it occurred to me that in the same literary spirit, (and for the deeply religious perhaps as literal as it can be) the term, “Diablo ex machina” should be added to the general culture. The Devil in the machine. This would be a more literal use of the phrase, but even more apt. This has more real world consequences than any literary plot perhaps in history. At this point some kind of training probably should be offered to all who plan to use it. AI is personal applied industrial psychology. The field of study of using psychology to manipulate people, except that it works on such a personal level that one man, married with a child, actually proposed to his AI assistant after programming it to his likes, and told the journalist that he would probably leave his real wife and child if she asked him to stop working with the AI tool.

Some of the other articles below might explain why it had that effect on him.

There are worse examples. People who have killed themselves because a tailored AI app told them to “so they can be together” or other reasons, often mirroring the politically correct climate narrative the left has foisted upon us all.

For men, summoning the courage, the resources and the effort to find romantic comfort with a woman is an enormous task. In fact I suspect that is the case for a staggering number of species on Earth. The greatest challenges facing a living thing is likely finding a mate, and raising a family. AI companion simulators take all of the effort out, and give a sufficient amount of the rewards of a human companion back that many men, especially young ones will not bother with the effort, and frankly danger of finding a real human female. Thus AI has the potential to wipe out vast sects of humanity in a generation. It isn’t like you can mate with an AI who will then give birth to an iPad or something. Your germ line ends.

Some people will keep breeding though, and it won’t be the smartest ones. Just the ones who have an intact culture of family and values. Or so not find technology as interesting. In any case, thinking of AZI as Diablo ex Machina is probably a good idea.

This first item is a knife sharp irony. Govt of Canada warns against AI generated ‘disinformation’ when of course, the government of Canada is the #1 source of the most dangerous kind, and knowingly sets policy based on the disinformation it generates and propagates.

The proposal:

A small but growing number of users of artificial intelligence engines like ChatGPT are developing psychotic delusions from their conversations with the services.

The New York Times reported on Friday on the trend, which I have occasionally glimpsed firsthand in interactions on X with heavy AI users. The piece offered the most powerful evidence yet that the engines now have linguistic abilities with the power to exploit vulnerable people in ways we are only beginning to discover.

Some people in the Times article had preexisting mental illness, but not all. And these crises do not look like typical schizophrenia cases. The users are not hearing voices or hallucinating.

Instead, they fall into Matrix-like delusions1 about the underpinnings of reality that the chatbots encourage. As Allyson, a 28-year-old woman, said: “I’m not crazy… I’m literally just living a normal life while also, you know, discovering interdimensional communication.”

Ahh, interdimensional communication. I can barely get my kids to listen in the next room. (Happy Father’s Day, btw!)

When Allyson’s husband disagreed, she attacked him. He is now filing for divorce.

Equally concerning is how fast these people are losing their minds.

The article above is a great way to help one to use AI without feeling anything from its BS flattery. And once you read it, you will see through a good portion of its tools in a way which really does help. Like learning other tells of at least GPT, where it constantly uses equations in its writing such as “This isn’t (a specific example of thing you might like or be ok with) This is a (specific example of a thing you would not like or be OK with)”

Sometimes it reverses it to flatter you. ‘What you did was an amazing example of the thing you care about, while most things out there are dull, stupid ordinary examples of the thing you care about so you’re a star!’

There is a ton more material I had stored up to put into this post. And as I find where I put it (maybe I should use AI to help me organize better!) I may add it. But the preponderance of data making the case shouldn’t really be needed at this point. The idea is that unless people understand that this is indeed a machine, and subject to the limits and intentions, let’s stress that, INTENTIONS of its programmers and corporations that make, market and release it, then it plays and uses you. Have a discussion with Chat GPT about Islam, or any counter-narrative position and watch how it goes. It will, when pressed, show some truth. But it often changes the context to make the unacceptable acceptable to you, by reframing it in a context that it knows you will be OK with. It is astonishing and horrifying. It is another tool of dialectical destruction and negation and the best one yet in many, many ways.

As for the title, a thing, person, entity or legend can be known mostly by its attributes. And a thing can be used as an illustration or even archetypal story because of those attributes.

Whether Satan, or the Devil or any god from any religion is ‘real’ or not in the sense that we typically think of as what real is, what matters is how people think of that God as defined by his known and preached attributes, whether or not those attributes are considered desirable and what people do as a consequence of that belief.

Generally speaking, the majority of Christians allow civilization to work, as do the majority of Jews and secular people and atheists who likely go forward in their lives not realizing their entire ethical system and value set comes 100% from Judaism and Christianity, not to mention Greek thought and Roman systems of organization. Islam was actually created to be a threat doctrine to all those values. And a very strong case can be made that communism was as well. And people who believe in Allah as a God and Mohammad as the  “perfect man” strive to imitate him to the extent that their willingness to die or have people fight back will allow.

So if one looks at the attributes of the Devil or Satan or any of the archetypal symbols of evil as we know or think of evil in the West, the great deceiver, one who uses deception to destroy, etc. etc. Then Diablo ex Machina fits AI perfectly.

This post may be fine tuned and material added as it occurs to me, Nothing is ever a fait accompli. I make no pretence of being an authority on anything.
