Although the following thing seems relatively trivial, it goes to the deracination of Canadian history and culture.
Some of you might have seen photos in the banner of a number of guards in front of the Governor General’s estates in Ottawa taken a couple of years ago at a Changing of the Guard ceremony. It used to take place every and all summer with some frequency. It did not happen last year at it appears that it will not this year, as the little guard huts placed in front of the GG gates are no longer there.
The banner photos show the traditional Bear Skin tall hats (now synthetic) the guards wear and the bright red tunics and black pants they wore as well as some with a Scottish military Kilt on other guards.
We will check if this still takes place downtown, but even that ceremony, the main one, was scaled back dramatically last time we checked.

The video above about the history of eugenics makes the statement about the thinking in the early 20th century in the USA that supported eugenics:
“There was a great belief in science. There was a great belief in government, in bureaucracy, as a tool for solving social problems, and also a belief in collectivism, that the population needs to work together to improve society.”
In another video which I am still trying to recover, they say that after WW2 eugenicists believed the only way eugenics could be successfully implemented would be in a compassionate society.
Now global socialism, the collective, “compassionate” society, has been installed and the world is ripe for the updated eugenics program.
There is a strong possibility that the field of eugenics is dominated by psychopaths, as psychopaths are drawn to positions of power and status where they have opportunities to control people, and eugenics offers the ultimate chance to play god. Psychopaths are great at deceiving people and can appear to be the nicest people of all, until you find out the truth about them.
I should have mentioned that eugenics is a utopian idea, and utopian ideas are generally fatally flawed.
