Over the past two years Palestinian journalists in the West Bank and Gaza Strip have been subjected to a systematic campaign of intimidation that has resulted in the death of some and the detention of others.

The campaign, which is being waged by both Hamas and Fatah, has received almost no attention from human rights groups and advocates of the freedom of expression throughout the world.

By contrast, when a Palestinian journalist is accidentally wounded by Israeli gunfire during clashes with Palestinians, the incident makes headlines in major media outlets in the US and EU.

What is most disturbing about the campaign of intimidation is the fact that it’s being spearheaded by the Palestinian Authority of Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank. This is the same authority that is receiving hundreds of millions of dollars from American and European taxpayers’ money every month to build a proper judicial system and promote democracy and transparency among the Palestinians.

One should not be surprised when Hamas targets journalists. The Islamist movement has long been known for its tough measures against “unfriendly” reporters.

At least 13 Palestinian journalists have been arrested and tortured by Hamas’s militias in since the movement took full control over the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2007. Hamas also raided the offices of most of these journalists and confiscated computers and other equipment.

To muslims, truce means only random rocket attacks and no sniper fire.

Well actually to Muslims ‘truce’ means they expect not to be attacked while they regroup re arm and get into a better position for a fresh assault but it seems according to this article that the end of the truce is marked by sniper fire. I’m not aware of any time where explosive rockets fired from Gaza into civilian areas of Israel were not used. So I guess truce also means rocket attacks directed at school kids only.

‘Ceasefire’ Over, Gaza Terrorists Add Sniper Fire to Arsenal

Gaza terrorists began the first official day after the end of the so-called “temporary ceasefire” early Friday morning with the usual barrage of Kassam rockets aimed at the western Negev.

The attacks began at the usual hour, approximately 7:30 a.m., when Jewish children are walking to school and their parents and other adults are on their way to work, thus maximizing the chances of the missiles hitting civilian targets.

Two Kassam rockets exploded in the Eshkol region, fired by the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.

A second attack soon followed, with the terrorist group also responsible for a Kassam rocket striking the Sha’ar HaNegev district.

No one was injured and no damage was reported in any of the incidents.

By 8:30 a.m., however, the attacks had escalated to include sniper fire, thus indicating the official end to the tahadiyeh, or temporary truce.

Gaza terrorists fired at farmers working near Kibbutz Nir Oz, east of the Hamas-controlled region. The targeted Jews were rescued by an IDF armored corps unit. Although a vehicle was damaged, no one was injured in the attack.

Eshkol Regional Council Chairman Chaim Yellin commented that sniper fire made it clear that Hamas had no intention of continuing the ceasefire, according to Voice of Israel government radio.

“The firing at farmers in the field is the final piece of evidence on the end of the ‘calm’,” Yellin said. “We have gone back to the situation of half a year ago.”

Argentina Seizes Assets of Iranian Terrorist-Diplomat

(IsraelNN.com) An Argentinean court issued an order on Tuesday for the immediate seizure of assets in that country identified as belonging to a one-time Iranian diplomat who was a central figure in deadly terrorist bombings of Jewish targets in Buenos Aires.
The target of the 1994 bombing, the AMIA Jewish community center, was suggested by Rabbani.

The order was part of a civil lawsuit brought against the perpetrators of the 1994 bombing of the Jewish-Argentine Mutual Association (AMIA) community center in Buenos Aires, which killed 85 people and wounded 300. A survivor of the attack is seeking approximately one million dollars in damages from Iran and its agents who were involved in orchestrating the operation, which was carried out by cells of Hizbullah in South America.

Defendant Mohsen Rabbani, the former Iranian cultural attache in Argentina in the 1990s, was found to still own a Buenos Aires commercial property. Prosecutor Alberto Nisman said that the state was surprised to find that Rabbani still held assets in the South American state. If the court ultimately finds in favor of the victim, the building will be sold and the money received will go towards paying the awarded damages.

Rabbani is one of six high-ranking officials of the Iranian regime whom Prosecutor Nisman succeeded in getting onto Interpol’s most-wanted list in November of 2007. The others are: the former president of Iran, Hashemi Rafsanjani; former Iranian Intelligence Minister Ali Fallahian; the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Mohsen Rezai; the current Iranian Deputy Minister of Defense and a former commander of the Qods Force of the IRGC, Brig.-Gen. Ahmad Vahidi; and a former diplomat in the Iranian embassy in Argentina, Ahmad Reza Asghari. Argentine President Cristina Fernandez called for their surrender to law enforcement during a speech she delivered at the United Nations in September of this year. Argentina has issued international warrants for the arrest of the Buenos Aires bombers.

Rabbani was also implicated in a bombing at the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires in February of 1992. In that attack, a car bomb killed 29 people and wounded over 250. Among the victims were Israeli diplomats, children and clergy from a church located across the street.

In previous statements related to the case against Rabbani and his cohorts, Prosecutor Nisman has said that both bombings had been “ordered, planned and financed” by Iran’s top leadership. The target of the 1994 bombing, the AMIA Jewish community center, was suggested by Rabbani, Nisman charged.

Another Iranian agent involved in the AMIA bombing, according to Nisman and Israeli sources, was Imad Mughniyeh, known as the Hizbullah “operations officer”. In February of this year, Mughniyeh was killed in Damascus when his car exploded following a clandestine meeting with Syrian agents. Hizbullah blamed Israel for the assassination, saying, “He has been a target of the Zionists for 20 years.”

In 1994, approximately one month before the AMIA bombing, Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah declared, “A thousand suicide bombers are ready to strike Israel all over the world.” In reaction to the Mughniyeh killing, Nasrallah has made similar threats.

THE PRESIDENT of the UN General Assembly, Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann of Nicaragua, last week denounced the policies of a certain Middle Eastern nation. They are “so similar to the apartheid of an earlier era,” he said, “that the world must unite against them, demanding an “end to this massive abuse of human rights” and isolating the offending nation as it once isolated South Africa: with a punishing “campaign of boycott, divestment, and sanctions.”

Of which country was he speaking?

Was it Saudi Arabia, where public facilities are segregated by sex, and where a pervasive system of gender apartheid denies women the right to drive, to dress as they choose, to freely marry or divorce, to vote, to appear in public without a male “guardian,” or to give testimony on an equal basis with men?

Was it Jordan, where the law explicitly bars Jews from citizenship and where the sale of land to a Jew was for decades not only illegal, but punishable by death?

Was it Iran, where homosexuality is a capital crime – at least 200 Iranian gays were executed last year – and whose president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, asserted at Columbia University that there are no homosexuals in Iran?

Was it Sudan, where tens of thousands of black Africans in the country’s southern region, most of them Christians or animists, have been abducted and sold into slavery by Arab militias backed by the Islamist regime in Khartoum?

It was none of these. The General Assembly president, a radical Maryknoll priest who served as Nicaragua’s foreign minister during the Sandinista regime in the 1980s, was not referring to any of the Middle East’s Muslim autocracies and dictatorships, virtually all of which discriminate against ethnic and religious minorities. He was speaking of the Jewish state of Israel, the region’s lone democracy, and the only one that guarantees the legal equality of all its citizens – one-fifth of whom are Muslim and Christian Arabs.

D’Escoto’s call for Israel to be shunned as a pariah and strangled economically came on the UN’s Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, an annual occasion devoted to lamenting the rebirth of Jewish sovereignty in the 20th century, denouncing the national liberation movement – Zionism – that made that rebirth possible, and championing the cause of the Palestinian Arabs. The event occurs on or about Nov. 29, the anniversary of the UN vote in 1947 to partition Palestine into two states, one Jewish and one Arab. There are impassioned speeches, in which Israel’s sins are enumerated and condemned, and the statelessness of the Palestinians is bewailed. Unmentioned is the fact that Palestine’s Arabs would have had their state 60 years ago had they and the Arab League not rejected the UN’s decision and chosen instead to declare war on the new Jewish state.

“In what one observer decried as “a very Orwellian moment,” the fight against radical Islam suffered a setback in the halls of the United Nations last Monday. Islamic countries won UN backing for an anti-blasphemy measure called “Combating Defamation of Religions,” which passed 85-50 with 42 abstentions in a meeting of the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee on November 23.”

The UN, created as a replacement for the defunct ‘League of Nations’ was intended to prevent anything like the Holocaust from occurring again. It clearly not only has failed to do so, (Rwanda is one of many genocides or attempted genocides since WW2) but is actively working on creating future ones in some ways. A google search for Durban conference I and II should provide ample evidence of that.

The Organization of Islamic Councils have pretty much turned all original UN purposes on their heads. When Yassir Arafat stormed the UN building with gunmen in the 1970s and was given an audience instead of promptly arrested we should have known then what was coming.

Kudos to Canada though for being the one nation with the moral fibre and courage to actually openly state it will not be attending Durban II. if a few more nations acted similarily we might be able to stop the tide of global Islamic fascism before it comes to open war. Like we see in India today and parts of Europe even if they don’t admit it yet.

Make no mistake. Islam and Islamic states fully intend to create a global Islamic caliphate and death is not merely the cost of doing so as they see it but a desirable fringe benefit. Anyone who has watched the events in Mombai the past two days and doesn’t get it yet may as well go join them. The time has come to line up and pick a side. Freedom, real rights for women minorities and alternative points of view, or Islam and it’s useful idiots the Western left.

Canadian terrorist’s Mom receives slap on the wrist in court

In April 2004 the United Talmud Torahs School in St. Laurent a suburb of Montreal, was firebombed. There were no injuries, but the school’s library was destroyed only able to re-open eight months later. Nineteen year old Sleiman Elmerhebi pleaded guilty to the crime and received a prison sentence just shy of four years. He was motivated to commit the crime as a retaliatory action for the Israeli army’s killing of the leader of the Hamas militant group.

At the time, Rouba Elmerhebi Fahd the terrorists mother, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to the firebombing. She pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on $10,000 bail. Shortly after her son was apprehended, Elmerhebi Fahd contacted a travel agency requesting a ticket to Brazil for her son. She made it clear that he was not to fly through the United States and urged him to keep the planned trip a secret.

Yesterday, almost four years later after her son’s guilty plea and incarceration, she appeared in a Montreal court and was handed her sentence:  She received twelve months probation. 

Mom Elmerhebi Fahd showed no remorse.

Although Quebec Court judge Robert Machi was firm in stating that the firebombing was more than mere vandalism calling the crime an act terrorism, his ruling was primarily based on the fact that Fahd had “no prior criminal record and wasn’t the one who firebombed the school”.

This slap on the wrist is a slap in the face. 

Ask any parent worth their weight in salt and they will tell you that parenting is a hard job at the best of times. It is a struggle to raise children to become thoughtful, considerate, well adjusted and responsible members of society. This woman apparently has quite a different parenting style, one which condones and promotes the hatred of Jews and violent acts of terror against them. Her utter unapologetic conviction to raise her children to live by the twisted rules of a transplanted sense of ‘Islamic justice’ through terrorism against the state of Israel in Canada should make her at the very least, a child abuser and a threat to this nation. What have her other two children learned from her?

Any mother who would raise her children with such supreme hatred by spoon feeding them a mandate of violence, bigotry and ignorance straight from the womb, deserves contempt, ridicule and a far harsher sentence than this saccharin coated probation. 

I wonder if she penciled in play dates with Canada’s First Family of Terror, the Khadr’s?

Nehushtan told the magazine that whether a military strike is eventually decided upon is a political question and not an issue of Israel’s military capabilities.

A strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities “is a political decision,” the IAF

commander said, “but if I understand it correctly, all options are on the table… The Air Force is a very robust and flexible force. We are ready to do whatever is demanded of us.”

When asked by the paper whether the Israeli military was able to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities, which are spread around the country and partly located underground, Nehushtan said, “Please understand that I do not want to get into details. I can only say this: It is not a technical or logistical question.”

Nehushtan said the cutting edge capabilities of the IDF in the region were not only a derivative of the advanced technologies it uses.

“Modern technology is one thing, but the biggest advantage we have is our soldiers and officers. Israel is a small country. We neither have a big population nor natural resources. Our biggest asset is our human resources. And it is the Air Force that makes best use of it,” he said.

Major medical advances in the Jewish world and Islamic one!

Nov. 17th the story broke. A women who was a golfer and had been stricken with MS to the point where playing golf was a feint memory had been brought back to nearly full function. At the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem and Sheba Multiple Sclerosis Center at Sheba Hospital interdisciplinary work is proceeding to treat MS using stem cells with remarkable results.

Canadian Louise Zylstra is a golf pro who was diagnosed with rapidly progressive MS in 2007. By early this year she was not only unable to play an 18-hole golf game, but she could barely walk 50 yards.

“Her course is primary progressive and right now we have no sure treatments for primary progressive disease,” neurologist Dr. Mark Freedman, an MS specialist at Ottawa Hospital, told CTV News.

“It was a disaster,” Zylstra told CTV News. “When you think, I might not play golf again and that’s what you do, it’s like, what am I going to do?” Eight months after travelling to Israel for the treatment, Louise is back on the golf course. “It’s night and day,” Zylstra said. “It’s a complete 180 from where I was.”

Given the progressive nature of Zylstra’s MS, such a recovery would have been highly unlikely without the treatment, Freedman said. “She’s recovered substantial function very quickly,” Freedman said. “She’s out golfing, and out-golfing most people, which is quite incredible.”

It’s extremely important that the rhetorical trick used by the Iranian delegate is exposed. Criticizing religion or any idea is not racism. The day religion cannot be criticized, ridiculed or dissected is the day the new dark age begins. Ideas are not nor must ever me above attack. This is not an attack against the people who hold these ideas even if they choose to pretend that it is.

In this next video, Iran demands that no security screening may discriminate on the basis of religion language or citizenship but then declares that sexual orientation is not to be considered an issue for ending discrimination.

City bans part of Holocaust exhibition

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies want the city of Toronto to reconsider its decision to prohibit an “inflammatory” exhibition that compares Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Adolf Hitler.

The Making of a War Criminal was to be one of four travelling educational exhibitions being shown in schools and on city-owned property. It features an image of Hitler saluting and a photo of Mr. Ahmadinejad with a burning devil over his shoulder.

“[Mr. Ahmadinejad’s] threat to wipe Israel off the map — if that’s not a call for genocide or another Holocaust, I don’t know what is,” said Avi Benlolo, chief executive in the Canadian branch of the Los Angeles-based human rights organization.

“We did this exhibit to press this case. It needs to be seen in public spaces,” Mr. Benlolo said.

City officials rejected the exhibit because it may “stereotype or promote views and ideas which are likely to promote discrimination, contempt or hatred for any persons,” as stated in the city’s display policy.
