Sad news, and after having to endure 10 months with these savages, only to be murdered by them during an attempted rescue. Heartfelt sympathies go out to the families of these men.

  • British Chris McManus and Italian Franco Lamolinara were captured by kidnappers in May while working in northern Nigeria
  • Two videos showing the hostages pleading for their lives while under armed guard were released by their captors
  • PM David Cameron authorised the rescue mission as the pair’s lives were in ‘imminent and growing danger’
  • But the kidnappers killed the two men as members of the Special Boat Service and Royal Marine commandos moved in on their hideout

A British hostage was killed by his captors in Nigeria yesterday when a UK Special Forces rescue operation ended in tragedy.

Chris McManus was executed by gunmen as members of the Special Boat Service and Nigerian soldiers moved in on the Al Qaeda-inspired terrorists’ hideaway.

Fellow hostage, Italian Franco Lamolinara, was also killed. The pair had been held for ten months.

New arrest in the terrorism case

HS: Finland’s first counter-terrorism investigations have been made yet another arrest. Police have arrested one person in the morning the metropolitan area, who is a Finnish national and an ethnic Somali.

In addition, the Central Criminal Police and Security Police have made home searches and seizures related to the case.

There are now six people people suspected of a crime, one of whom is in custody. Police estimate that the pre-trial of the case will last for months yet.

UPDATE: YLE, the Finnish state broadcaster is stating that :

Related to the same case, is the continued imprisonment of one person. He has been imprisoned since the early autumn of 2011. He is also an ethnic Somali. In total there are six suspects, including two on a travel ban. […] Two of the suspected can be reached abroad, and one can not be found.

NOTE: This is an example of the mainstream media not being able to report a story correctly. The say in both article that 6 people in all, are suspected of involvement, though they speak of seven individuals.

– 2 are in fact in custody

– 2 are on a travel ban

– 2 are abroad and 1 can not be reached.

That adds up to seven in my thinking.

The story of Shani Bar-Oz, a Canada-based Israeli facing venomous protests outside her Vancouver soap products store, elicited a huge wave of support and generated new business, the shop owner old Ynet.

“I received a huge embrace and plenty of support,” Bar-Oz said, after an article about her plight appeared on Ynet. In the story, the store owner, who insists on selling Israeli products, shared her fears of contending with anti-Israel protesters targeting her business and shouting anti-Semitic slogans.

However, it now appears that the boycott campaign against Bar-Oz has backfired, with new orders pouring in as result of the story.

“There were Israelis who came into the store and said they saw the article and want to support and help me; I expressed my heartfelt thanks to them,” she said. “People won’t stop calling and ordering products on the phone and online, and this is truly touching and making me stronger.”

‘I felt they wanted to murder me’

Two off-duty IDF soldiers will likely never forget the trauma they endured early Saturday, when an Arab gang nearly lynched them in a vicious, unprovoked mob attack.

“At certain moments I felt my end was nearing,” one soldier told Yedioth Ahronoth, as shocking new details of the Haifa assault emerged Sunday.

Meanwhile, police arrested two additional suspects in connection to the assault. It is suspected at least six assailants currently in custody attacked the soldiers on the assumption they had hurled stones at their house earlier. Officers are currently of the opinion this was a case of mistaken identity.

“This is a very serious incident and we will hold a comprehensive investigation but it should be noted that this appears to be a case of pure hooliganism,” a Haifa police official said. The suspects will face a remand hearing at the Haifa Magistrate’s Court later on Sunday.

The two 19-year-old soldiers, who were back home for the weekend, decided to go out Friday night. During the outing, one of them felt intense pain in his arm and the two headed to Haifa’s Rambam hospital.

“After we parked the car, another vehicle approaching quickly stopped next to us,” one victim said. “They asked us whether we’re Jewish, and then started yelling ‘Jews, Jews.’ We ran in different directions but they chased us.”

“They caught up with me and started to beat me up with clubs all over my body. I felt they wanted to murder me,” he said. “I saw about 15 or 20 people and felt I was finished.”

According to the second victim, the assailants came out of three vehicles equipped with clubs and metal rods.

“Seven or eight people grabbed hold of me, beat me up and kicked me all over my body,” he said. “They also tried to hit my head with a club, but I protected myself with my arms. That’s why my arms were pulverized. They hit also my head and pelvis with a rock.”

Suicide car bomb detonates outside Nigeria church

LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — A suicide car bomber detonated his explosives Sunday morning outside of the major church in the heart of a restive central Nigerian city that has seen hundreds die in religious and ethnic violence, an official said, killing three people and injuring others.

The explosion struck the main headquarters of the Church of Christ in Nigeria during its early morning service, Plateau state spokesman Pam Ayuba said. The blast killed the bomber and a father and child near the explosion, while wounding others, Ayuba said.

Police officials in the city could not be immediately reached for comment. A military spokesman for the area also did not answer calls for comment.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, though a radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram has launched increasingly bloody attacks across Nigeria, including attacks on churches. A Christmas Day bombing of a Catholic church claimed by the sect in Madalla, a town just outside the country’s capital Abuja, killed at least 44 people.

The group also claimed responsibility for bomb attacks on Christmas Eve that struck Jos, killing as many as 80 people.

Seven die in Koran burning protests

At least seven people have been killed in protests around Afghanistan against the burning of Korans at a US air base.

The latest violence raised the total number of people killed since the protests broke out to 20.

The governor’s office in western Herat province said six died in three incidents there.

Three people were killed when a truck full of ammunition exploded after protesters set it ablaze. Three others died in two separate incidents when armed men among the protesters exchanged gunfire with security forces.

Another protester died when Afghan security forces fired in the air to prevent demonstrators from storming a Hungarian base in the north.

New Mosque Opens in Roswell

The Roswell Community Masjid cut the ribbon on its new building last weekend.

With the support of local leaders in attendance, Roswell Community Masjid (RCM) cut the ribbon on its new mosque last weekend.

Representatives from other Roswell spiritual organizations, businesses and political entities showed up Sunday, Feb. 19 to the new mosque location at 345 Market Place in Roswell, not far from where it previously rented space in the shopping center at Grimes Bridge Road and Holcomb Bridge Road, next to Provinos.

FINNISH MAN SHOOTS UP PIZZERIA OWNED BY IMMIGRANTS, ONE DEAD, TWO WOUNDED

Interestingly enough, the ethnic background of the shooter was immediately front and center of the report, they left no doubt that it was a Finn who shot up some foreigners. Fair enough, but when a foreigner is involved in a major crime, the details surrounding his ethnicity is noticeably absent.

NOTE: This is obviously the work of a deranged man regardless of his background, lets see how the media and politicos spin this for their own political agendas.

 

IL: One person is dead and two wounded in the Oulu, Kaukovainio, shooting incident late Saturday night.

A Finnish man opened fire on the Monaco-pizzeria located in Oulu Kaukovainio late on Saturday night.

One of the wounded is a person suspected being the gunman. The police confirmed it to the Iltalehti at three in the morning, that the shooter is still in the hospital and his condition is critical.

Investigations at the scene have continued throughout the night.

– There is not yet any idea to the motive at this stage, said spokesman of Oulu’s central police.

It started at about 22.15. The man had come into the pizzeria and after a while fired several shots. Were a 21-year-old man was immediately killed.

-Pizzeria at the time had only three people. They  all belonged to the staff.

Only the 40-year old owner of the pizzaria managed to dodge bullets and flee the scene.

After the shooting, the man turned the gun on himself and shot. The suspected shooter is 24-year-old Finnish man and he is already familiar to the police.

– He has a bit of a criminal background, but later more about this too.

When police arrived at the pizzeria at the Kaukovainio mall, the shooter lay on the ground wounded.

The other wounded man was sent to another hospital, a 42-year-old pizzeria worker. His condition is now stable.

The police have not yet been able to interrogate the shooter. The Oulu shooting victims are from immigrant families.

Honor murder in Finland?

Has the look and feel of one. The police are treating this as a case of something that could happen to anyone, regardless of nationality or religion. That tells me that it was another Somali or someone from a Muslim immigrant background. If it was an ethnic Finn involved, it would be blasted from every paper around Finland. Both the media and the police are at fault for not giving the full picture of the story, solely because of the ethnicity of the perp.

Kaleva.fi: Northern Finland-Somalia Association organized on Monday evening a discussion meeting, due to the case of a dead Somali at the end of January. The man (born in 1993) died after falling from the sixth floor to the ground when he tried to escape from a neighbor who penetrated his home. The man tried to jump from his apartment window onto a nearby  balcony.

The case has aroused some fear among Somalis living in Oulu, fear, as the perpetrator is still on the loose.

The police have investigated the background of the case, and the man who broke into the Somali’s home is suspected of a felony of home invasion and unlawful threatening.

The nature of the crime doesn’t fulfill the requirements for the ”maximum penalty”, so that we couldn’t detain the perp,” said senior criminal constable Milla Kynkäänniemi of the case.

She stated that the case is proceeding on time to the prosecutor, and ultimately to justice.

Along with Kynkäänniemen was the additional presence of Oulu Police Department had violated laptop constable Jouko Ilkka Autio and Pernu police protection.

During the conference, the police denied that the case showed any evidence of a racist crime, but this is an isolated incident that could happen to anyone, regardless of nationality or religion.

ASSAD’S EMAIL EXCHANGE ABOUT BARBARA WA WA AND GEORGE GALLOWAY HACKED

The leaked documents, a selection of which are published in full on the website of Israeli daily Ha’artz, include a series of emails between Assad’s media adviser Bouthaina Shaaban and Sheherazad Jaafari – a press attaché at the Syrian UN mission – briefing the president in advance of his now infamous interview with Barbara Walters in which he repeatedly denied that Syrian civilians were being killed by government troops.

Basing her advice on “major research” she conducted into US media coverage of the Syrian uprising, Jaafari advised Mr Assad: “It is hugely important and worth mentioning that ‘mistakes’ have been done in the beginning of the crises.

“American psyche can be easily manipulated when they hear that there are ‘mistakes’ done and now we are ‘fixing it’.”

She continued: “Its [sic] worth mentioning also what is happening now in Wall Street and the way the demonstrations are been [sic] suppressed by police men, police dogs and beatings.”

Among other leaked emails is a correspondence between former British MP George Galloway and Shaaban, who is among Assad’s closest advisors. Galloway requests the use of Syria’s Latkia port as a departure point for Gaza flotilla the Mavi Mara.

Shaaban responded within three days welcoming Galloway’s suggestion, enthusing, “God bless your amazing efforts and I will be honoured to be part and parcel of it.”

MULTIPLE CAR CRACK-UP ON FINNISH HIGHWAY CAUGHT ON FILM BY CANADIAN……..

I have driven this brand new stretch of highway a number of times, it’s a two lane road each way, that originates in Jyväskylä, in central Finland. Keep in mind that these cars have either studded or special treaded winter tires for these conditions. There was an initial accident, that was being handled by police and an ambulance, then came the massive accident of cars slamming into each other as they approached the scene of the smaller, earlier one.

LEFTARD US SUPREME COURT JUSTICE DISSES OWN CONSTITUTION ON EGYPTIAN TV

In a just world, this woman would be thrown off the bench.

This is an excellent example that should be used to wake people the hell up and realize that elections have consequences. Allowing the Democrat party, as is, to win majorities in Congress, and take the White House, allows for Leftist jackasses like SC Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to be elected to the supreme court to torment American society, and rip apart and bastardize its constitution that she herself does not believe in.

You should certainly be aided by all the constitution-writing that has gone one since the end of World War II. I would not look to the US constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, had an independent judiciary… It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done. Much more recent than the US constitution – Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It dates from 1982. You would almost certainly look at the European Convention on Human Rights. Yes, why not take advantage of what there is elsewhere in the world?
