12 young people, living in the Hostel for young workers of Clacy have got one month to leave the place. Motive: The places are needed for asylum seekers.

They smile, but in reality they are not very happy, Laurent and his mates of the Foyer for young workers (Foyer jeunes travailleurs (FJT)) of Clacy-et-Thierret. “The majority of us are not here by choice, but we are glad to have a roof over our heads. Unfortunately, this will not last…” he says, with some bitterness.
The twelve lodgers have just been told that they have to leave the premises by the 1st. August. “We have one month for packing our cardboard boxes. They chuck us out, we who pay our rent regularly, because we have to make place for about 30 asylum seekers who will arrive and who will pay nothing. It’s disgusting!” This situation fills all their conversations, between anger and anxiety for the future. Some of them had planned to leave. This is the case with Laurent who has just found an apartment. This does not prevent him from feeling solidarity with the others, like Alan who is nearly sure to finish living on the streets. “I have just finished my studies, I’m unemployed for the moment. What will become of me?”
One more struggle
Kevin has just landed a permanent contract. He will start in September. No question for him to move. “I will stick to this job, I need it, just as I need a place to live. I will find nothing else because I will need a guarantor and I have nobody. The landlord will also ask for 3 pay slips, but as I only start work, it’s buggered for me”, he explains. The association who manages the FJT assured them that they would help them to relocate, but those youngsters dont believe a word of that. Alan sniggers: “It’s obvious that one can find an apartment in Laon in less than a month”. Johan says regretfully: “One has suggested that I take some shared accommodation. I really dont want that, I like my privacy, but I have a feeling that, if I refuse, I will get nothing else”.
Michel, who has just finished his Tour de France des compagnons, had found a place here to stay while preparing to start his adult life. “When one is looking for work as I am, or if one is trying to start a new life, it’s depressing to be chucked out like filth, when one has done nothing wrong. Life is already a struggle and one accepts quite a lot, but this is just too much.
In adversity, the little group is sticking together, quite determined to resist “but peacefully”, they point out.

Radiologist on trial for sexual assaults and multiple rapes of 32 women
Since Monday the trial of a radiologist has been underway in a criminal court in Finistère, for sexual assaults and rapes that he committed between 2002 and 2006 on 32 young women, some of whom were minors at the time of the assaults.
The doctor, Mohamed Frehat, 55, is accused by 32 young women of sexual assaults and rapes that he committed in the context of his functions as a radiologist at the hospital center of Quimperlé (Finistère). Amongst these, eight were minors at the time of the alleged assaults, and two were less than 15 years old. In total, he is accused of 37 different infractions, 28 of them rape and 9 of assault. The defendant, who denies these facts, was placed in provisional detention as of June 2007 and in April 2008 before being placed under judicial control with the condition of being forbidden to practice his profession.
The accused, the father of two daughters, practiced radiology at the hospital centre of Quimperlé since 2002.
In May 2005 two of his patients filed complaints against him for sexual assault presumed to have been committed during medical exams, but the complaints are classified without follow-up.
However, his superiors requested that he no longer perform any radiology exams alone. In 2006 new complaints for the same type of behaviour of the same nature were registered. The justice system forbids the radiologist from practicing any vaginal ultrasound or mammography.
Violating these instructions, the doctor is alleged to have continued to do these trans-vaginal ultrasounds, sometimes on minors without the consent of their parents, eliciting further complaints.
The radiologist, originally from Algeria, defended himself through the course of the first day of trial by asserting that during the exams he was trying to get a diagnosis as quickly as possible.
The trial is expected to last until Friday.
I am starting to understand the mentality of European immigration officials after seeing the video below. I used to think of soccer as a tedious and frankly unwatchable game second only to Cricket and maybe quadriplegic charades.
And then I saw this. Amazing improvisation in an amateur soccer match in France where both sides added metal poles and cans of what can only be ‘mustard gas’ to the usual list of gear and the goals and objectives became much too abstract for me to figure out right away but the action was so fast it was entertaining anyway!
It was almost like they mixed Lacrosse, Soccer and WW1 !

Violent clashes have broken out in a Paris suburb after police tried to arrest a Muslim woman for wearing a veil.
It came as two men today put a 21-year-old pregnant woman in hospital for covering her face with a veil on the same council estate.
In what is being viewed as a severe test of France’s burka ban, around 60 people attacked police on Wednesday night in Argenteuil, a commuter town to the north west of the capital.

Under a law which came into force in 2011, women found guilty of wearing niqabs in public can be fined the equivalent of around £130.

Ahlam Shibli’s photo shows house of a Palestinian suicide bomber, exhibited at Jeu de Paume Museum. Photo: Jeu de Paume
A Paris museum subsidized by the French government opened an exhibition of photos of Palestinian suicide bombers, which the museum calls freedom fighters.
The exhibition of 68 photos entitled “Death” by Ahlam Shibli opened on May 28 at the Jeu de Paume museum of contemporary art in Paris.
The museum’s website describes suicide bombers as “those who lost their lives fighting against the occupation,” and the exhibition as being about “the efforts of Palestinian society to preserve their presence.”
According to CRIF, the umbrella body of French Jewish communities, the people commemorated in the photos are “mostly from the [Fatah-affiliated] al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades [of Hamas] and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.” All three are designated by the European Union as terrorist groups.

Sections of the French military have called for a coup to save the country, it emerged yesterday. The Defence Ministry was taking seriously appeals from royalist, ultra-traditionalist Catholic groups on the internet and in a magazine for a “coup de force” as criticism of François Hollande grows. The plotters claim that France is threatened by decadence, symbolised by the legalisation last month of gay marriage.
No idea what for though. But here is the video.

Ok in the video below it makes more sense. First, its outside the Tunisian embassy in Paris. Secondly, the chants and motions mock muslim religious provocations. So I’m liking it a lot more now that I see a less sanitized version of this protest.
Thanks M
This appears to be what its about
Thanks M very much for your diligence and research.
Mr and Mrs LETERME acquired a flat in Savigny-le-Temple, in a district they knew was inhabited by a large North African community. They quickly and regularly faced discriminatory insults and threats and had to be evacuated from their home with help from the police and filed a complaint. Mr LETERME also found himself on the defendant’s bench alongside his attackers because of a punch he allegedly threw while he was fighting them. Indignant about the silence of the major media on this affair, the family lawyer has granted an exclusive interview to Atlantico to reveal the facts to the general public.
Atlantico : You are defending a family forced to leave their district because they didn’t belong to the ethnic majority group. Could you give us more details about this affair? What happened exactly?
Stéphane Maitre : That day a dispute broke out between Mr LETERME and a neighbour about an argument between two children. Quickly, a troop of “jeunes” from the district formed around MR LETERME, who was fortunately joined by a friend. Blows from fists, sticks and planks of wood were inflicted on them. They were seriously injured: a gaping wound on the skull requiring 6 stitches, cranial trauma, broken hand, bruising and multiple haematomas (7 and 21 days off work); When they saw blood flow, the attackers fled. The police and the firemen arrived, which provoked a new gathering. The LETERME family took refuge in the van but the “jeunes” from the district insulted and threatened them, kicking the van. Terrified, they decided to leave everything; in one night, they packed their bags and moved out the next morning under police protection.

Two things about this.
1. If not the papers, at least WE have to remember that this was not a “Radical extremist” that’s the enemy narrative. He was a religious muslim.
2. No, its not a copycat. Its small cell terror.

Arrested: A policeman leads the suspect in last week’s attack on a soldier in Paris’s La Defense district into custody this morning
A known radical Islamist was today arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder a French soldier.
The home of the 22-year-old, who has not been named, was raided by armed anti-terrorist police in La Verriere, a commuter town near Versailles, in the early hours of the morning.
Images of him are thought to have been caught on CCTV around the time of Saturday’s attack in Paris’s La Defense business district.
It saw Cedric Cordiez, a 23-year-old soldier, receiving wounds to the throat and neck as a man plunged a sharp instrument into him.
The French ambush happened just three days after British soldier Lee Rigby was allegedly hacked to death by two Islamists near Woolwich barracks in south London – prompting fears of a copycat attack.
They say its all on video. I hope that gets released somehow. But the description is sufficiently revealing.
Conspicuous lack of description even though they have one.

Oh! Here it is!
Of equal concern, to me at least, is why has France allowed soldiers to patrol areas within France. Based on classical geopolitical and democratic thought this is quite alarming and certainly significant. There are very good reasons that soldiers should not do the work of police. The fact that they are has meaning in terms of sovereignty and the extent to which France has nurtured a viper in her bosom.
