At least 50 French citizens ‘waging jihad in Syria’

A leading French anti-terror judge has told French media he is worried about the implication of large numbers of French Muslims heading to Syria to fight a holy war against the Damascus regime.

As many as 80 French citizens are fighting with rebel groups in Syria, according to a report in French daily Le Figaro published Wednesday.

The number is far higher than the “handful” said by French Interior Minister Manuel Valls to be operating alongside Islamists in Mali, or the estimated number of Frenchmen who went to Bosnia, Iraq or Afghanistan to wage “jihad”, or Muslim holy war.

An Egyptian Christian who was arrested in Libya and charged with proselytizing has died after being tortured by his captors, according to a report.

Ezzat Hakim Atallah, who was one of dozens of Egyptian Copts arrested last month in Benghazi, was awaiting a court appearance in Tripoli when his family learned he had died. He had been held by the Libyan Preventive Security since Feb. 25, and had been hospitalized March 6 before being brought back to a cell, according to family members.

A wave of deadly violence, looting, and arson is currently sweeping across parts of Bangladesh.  This follows the sentencing to death of Delwar Hossain Sayedee the Bangladeshi leader of the Islamist Jamaat-e-Islami party.  This followed his conviction for war crimes committed during the 1971 War of Independence which included including mass killings, rape and atrocities (1).

The website, Struggle for Hindu Resistance suggests that Hindu’s in Bangladesh have borne the brunt of the Jamaat-e-Islami violence that followed the court’s decision.  It shows a graphic picture of a Hindu child with severe flesh wounds allegedly inflicted by the Jamaat-e-Islami mob.  WARNING: The image which is prominently place on the article is very graphic and very upsetting but the article, with the image, can be seen on the Struggle for Hindu Existence website – view at your own risk HERE) (2).

The United States has shifted course to provide aid directly to Syria’s rebels, but Canada doesn’t have enough confidence in them to follow suit.

It is a rare international question where the two allies are taking different views: Canada, which was gung-ho about helping rebels in Libya, thinks it’s too risky to fund those in Syria.

On Thursday, Secretary of State John Kerry said the United States will for the first time send so-called non-lethal aid such as food and medical supplies directly to the Free Syrian Army, as well as provide $60-million to the political wing of the coalition seeking to unseat President Bashar al-Assad.

Not sure what to make of this one.
I don’t know who the producers of this video are or anything about it really but it does appear to be a good indicator of where Syria is going thanks to all that Western and mostly American support for the Muslim invaders determined to make Syria part of the new caliphate at the expense of Christians, Alawites and all other minorities or non-Sunni muslims in the region.

Tunisian secularists protest against new Islamist PM

Tunis (Reuters) – Thousands of Tunisians protested on Saturday against the new prime minister-designate Ali Larayedh, a hardliner from the main Islamist Ennahda party.

President Moncef Marzouki asked Larayedh to form a government on Friday, in the aftermath of the February 6 assassination of secular opposition politician Chokri Belaid.

Outgoing prime minister Hamadi Jebali resigned on Tuesday because Ennahda rejected his plan for an apolitical technocrat cabinet to prepare for elections.

Larayedh, the new premier-designate, is controversial because opposition secularists accuse the Interior Ministry which he headed of failing to curb Islamist violence.

(Reuters) – Tunisia’s prime minister-designate Ali Larayedh, a hardliner from the main Islamist Ennahda party, said on Friday he hoped to form a “government of all Tunisians”, but opposition leaders swiftly signaled discontent.

Tunisia plunged into political crisis on February 6 when the assassination of secular opposition politician Chokri Belaid on February 6 ignited the biggest street protests since the overthrow of strongman Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali two years ago.

President Moncef Marzouki asked Larayedh to draw up a government within two weeks after he was formally nominated for prime minister by Ennahda leader Rached Ghannouchi.

But it needs to be known that the people we are backing, financing etc. are ipso facto Al Qaeda and that they are torturing killing and beheading people who are the religion dominant in Syria, a variant of Islam called, ‘Alawites‘, and something that Shiia muslims of course, cannot stand to allow to exist. This is a jihad for Ikhwan and Al-Qaeada and nothing else. It is not an attempt to free the people living in Syria from a tyrannical regime. As we see already in other countries now dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood and its variants, totalitarianism is compulsory. It is about who controls it and why.

The three local defence volunteers died after a bomb hidden in a pile of clothes exploded outside a restaurant in Pattani Town on Sunday lunchtime.

Another nine people were injured in the blast.

A coordinated campaign of terror started at 6pm local time on Saturday, when seven bombs were planted outside shops, supermarkets and a karaoke bar in Pattani Town, the capital of Pattani Province, one of the three southernmost provinces of Thailand with a Muslim majority population.

Western governments, particularly former colonial power France, had voiced alarm after the al Qaeda-linked rebel alliance captured the town of Konna on Thursday, a gateway towards the capital Bamako 600 km (375 miles) south.

President Francois Hollande said France would not stand by to watch the rebels push southward. Paris has repeatedly warned that the Islamists’ seizure of the country’s north in April gave them a base to attack neighboring African countries and Europe.
