Blazing Cat Fur: Mosqueteria Madness: CSIS Report – Teens Being Radicalized In High Schools

TORONTO — A newly released intelligence report warns that teenagers are being exposed to Islamist extremism in Canadian high schools.

In an Intelligence Assessment, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service says that in two recent cases, suspects charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act “appear to have been radicalized in part while attending Canadian secondary school institutions.

Two important articles on Canadian schools and the destruction of secularism.

Thanks Grace for bringing this to my attention. The Toronto ‘Mosqueteria’ is rapidly becoming the rule rather than the exception. Below, an excerpt from each article with a giant link to the originals. Please click through and read them in totality in case my condensation of them has changed any important context.

Imagine Canada after 5 more years of the kind of immigration policies we have now. There will not be a chance of resurrecting the classically liberal Canada we all take for granted. This is national suicide of European proportions.

1. Ottawa Citizen:

We Must Protect our Secular School System

By Pam FitzGerald, The Ottawa Citizen February 16, 2012

[…]

As a school board trustee, I have a bird’s-eye view of our schools, or at least I thought I did until this week when a motion requesting a simple report on school religious practices failed. This past year, there has been controversy over a practice in Toronto’s Valley Park Middle School, which allowed religious services led by an imam during the school day. In Ottawa, there has been no such controversy but I know of at least three schools where this is standard practice, Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School, Bell High School and Brookfield High School. I suspect there are more.

[…]

When we allow a minister, rabbi or imam into our schools to conduct religious services during the school day, we bring in the thin edge of a wedge. Other religions rightfully ask to hold religious services in our secular schools and this is precisely what happened at Toronto’s Valley Park Middle School. We may also find it increasingly difficult to say no to future requests for religious-based schools housed under the public board’s umbrella. If and when this comes to pass, say goodbye to the greatness of our secular public schools as parents flock to ensure that their children’s religious training is met during the school day. NYC police and Muslim cab drivers face off as Muslims demand special rights, demand ability to break the laws.

The solution to this, as it is for the burka debate and mosque issues everywhere is the same. Stop giving Muslims special rights and the problem solves itself. We created these problems by allowing the definition of freedom of religion to mean ‘you can do anything you want so long as it is part of the exorcize of your non-Christian religious beliefs.

Frankly, based on this interview I did with Sam Solomon in 2010, the basis exists to not allow mosques to exist at all as they are a physical manifestation of a hate crime and an act of war

Tempers flare at meeting on Toronto school’s Muslim prayer sessions

By Tristin Hopper

The National Post:

TORONTO • What was advertised as a “discussion” on the issue of Muslim prayers at a Toronto school quickly turned into an emotionally charged speaker’s corner Monday night.

The prayers are conducted every Friday for about 45 minutes in the cafeteria of Valley Park Middle School. The measure was introduced as a matter of convenience since Muslim students — who make up 90% of the student body at the grades 6 to 8 school — were leaving class on Friday afternoons to walk to a nearby mosque.

The prayers are not conducted by a religious leader, but by the students themselves, the superintendent of inclusive schools for the Toronto District School Board told those in attendance at Monday’s meeting. It was held across the street from Valley Park, at Marc Garneau Collegiate on Overlea Boulevard.

“We have not heard one dissenting voice from within the school,” Jim Spyropoulos said.

Nevertheless, after the issue was made public during the summer, the 45-minute prayer session prompted protests outside district headquarters and letters trickled in “from across North America,” said Mr. Spyropoulos. “I don’t think there’s too many issues that have engendered the passion that this one has,” he said.

The meeting of about 40 to 50 people was meant as a community discussion, but some attendees were eager to talk about an anonymously printed pamphlet titled “Segregation in Toronto Public Schools” — a reference to the practice of separating boys and girls during prayer sessions. Continue Reading →

More protests in Toronto on the Mosqueteria

For anyone unfamiliar with this issue, in a nutshell, Blazing Cat Fur broke the story that everyone else ignored, that various public schools in Toronto, with a focus on one, have been breaking all the Canadian laws on having no religious services at a public school and having them anyway, strictly for Muslims in the school cafeteria and one school actually bringing an imam in from what people call an ‘extremist’ mosque’, which of course as we know from study after study just means a mosque, and segregating boys from girls as well as girls on their menses from girls not so. Another breach of Canadian law. Canada would have a law about segregating girls on their periods but of course, we cannot have imagined that degree of barbarism so we don’t have one.

In any case, another protest took place against the Toronto District School Board Sept. 17 2011 that holds these ‘Mosqueterias’ (a term coined by yours truly) which has a logo suspiciously like a crescent moon with a star in it. (just saying is all) and here is a video of it from the SUN news link above.

…and in case you think Canada doesn’t have the same problems Europe does…

This from Blazing Cat Fur.

Take the time to read this one. It appears that P.M. Harper may have grossly under estimated the scale and levels of the threat. Terrorism, as this blog has asserted for some years now, is by-so-far the least of the problems in terms of Islam in Western nations that its nearly a positive thing, as it tends to alert more people to the actual danger of Islam.

Two paragraphs below:

Youngmuslims.ca spells out educational strategy for the “Tyrannical Culture” they live under in Canada

Someone really ought to forward this to Chris Spence of the TDSB. The following screen shots are taken from a document on the Youngmuslims.ca online library entitled “Muslim Youth in the West – Towards a new education strategy“.

It’s a lovely document carefully outlining the steps required to assure that Muslims are not integrated into the “Tyrannical Culture” that is Canada. As is happening with the TDSB it outlines a broad strategy  to co-opt the state school system and ensure that “Islamic needs”, especially with regard to girls, are met, all of which will contribute to the stated goal of establishing an Islamic Society.

BCF: TDSB Mosqueteria Cheerleader NAMF Hosts “Jews & Gays & Kaffirs Are Filth” Radical Cleric

Blazing Cat Fur, if the world today was remotely what it pretends to be, would be the recipient of a Pulitzer prize by now. All of Canada would be dozing at the switch to this day about the fact that all of Canada’s laws concerning religion in schools have been dutifully buggered by Muslims and leftists and that, ironically, ‘ultra conservative’ (as defined by the 1960s left) views like, ‘Jews and Gays are filth’ are about to be taught in Toronto publicly funded schools.

Please click over to BCF for the whole of this story reproduced below in part.

NAMF – the North American Muslim Foundation located in Toronto is hosting an Iftar & Lecture series during Ramadan.  NAMF has been an outspoken proponent of the Toronto District School Board’s “Islam First” mosqueteria policy, going so far as to have one of their “Volunteers” Omar Quyum, a TDSB teacher, write an article in “GTA Muslims”, “To Pray , or Not to Pray;  “Omar Qayum is a volunteer at the North American Muslim Foundation (NAMF ) and a teacher in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).

“GTA Muslims” is an Islamist rag that has published justifications for the killing of gays, justification for the killing of  Salman Taseer,  terrorist screeds, and even an homage to a holocaust denier.

Selective enforcement in Canadian schools

On July 25th, Blazing Cat Fur filmed a demonstration in Toronto against the blatantly illegal use of school cafeterias as mosques, an event which seems to be much more common than just the one school that started all this. BCF was kind enough to give me permission to isolate one segment of this video that caught my attention and I think is worthy of special notice. It is not just an abstract question anymore, but now we know. Religion in schools is all for ‘Allah’.

Video: Mosqueteria Protest at the Toronto District School Board

The video and text below is verbatim taken from this link at Blazing Cat fur. Please click through for photos and more description of what took place. It should be understood, the ‘mosqueterias’ that are being discovered all across Ontario schools are an unambiguous breach of both the spirit and the letter of Canadian law, and I am not pleased to say, represent a very good example of the kind of warnings that blogs like mine have been trying to warn Canadians about for years now. I would also ask readers to ask themselves, would you have believed that this was going to happen in at least 16 schools in Ottawa and Toronto had you been told this a year ago or more? If not, what do you not believe now in terms of the process of Islamification of our government and its institutions which are already changing and which ones will change in the next decade? We already have polygamy as an accepted practice in Ontario and paid for by you and At least one woman in Vancouver has already been charged with keeping a slave.

Eeyore for Vlad

From Blazing Cat Fur:

On July 25 2011 a protest was held against the Toronto District School Board’s Islam First policy which allows public tax payer funded secular schools to be converted into ad hoc mosques. Imam’s are allowed by the TDSB to conduct Islamic prayer rituals.

By allowing this practice the TDSB has condoned gender discrimination against girls who are segregated from the boys during the rituals and worse singled out as “Unclean” and denied participation at all should they be menstruating. All of this goes against Canadian values, our Charter of Rights & Freedoms and Ontario education policy. It is speculated that the TDSB is condoning these activities in order to ensure they continue to receive education funding for Muslim students whose parents might otherwise pull their children from the system if their demands were not met. Muslim students now comprise a significant revenue source for the TDSB.

The video is a series of interviews with participants, ranging from Robert Lantos & Meir Weinstein to a woman who converted to Christianity from Islam, an atheist, a young couple who have seen Christian children discriminated against first hand by the TDSB and more. The video concludes with a verbal melee which illustrates how divisive the TDSB’s Islam First policy has become.

The bit starting at 9:26 is especially telling. A good indication of how selective enforcement of laws is itself a crime of some magnitude.

Dear friends,

A while ago I informed most of you that I would be taking part in a coalition with other faith groups to protest Muslim prayers in Toronto schools. We had a press conference on Monday July 18 at 5:30 pm which you can view herehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NLZZ7uHfuQ

For more in the news on this topic see http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/video/featured/news/868018287001/tdsb-seeks-to-clarify-stance-on-prayers-in-school-lrm/1064210842001

We announced that we were going to have our first public protest on Monday July 25 at 5:30 pm outside the Toronto District School Board central office. Their address is:

Toronto District School Board
5050 Yonge Street
Toronto, Ontario
M2N 5N8

Map: http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=5050%20Yonge%20StreetToronto%2C%20OntarioM2N%205N8&rls=com.microsoft:en-ca:IE-SearchBox&oe=&redir_esc=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl

We are encouraging as many people as possible to join and support us at this important protest. Various people will be there who come from other faith backgrounds to support this cause. Even a number of Muslims are objecting and supporting our protest. Toronto tax payers do not wish to support the implementation of Islamic (shariah) law in our public schools or anywhere in our society. Religious practices are not to be exercised in public schools as set out in the Ontario Education Act. The Lord’s Prayer, Bible readings were removed from Ontario schools in 1988 after the Ontario Court of Appeal made its ruling because people protested that it showed favouritism to Christianity and made others uncomfortable. If Christians are not allowed to express their religious beliefs and practices why are Muslims receiving special treatment? It is imperative that we act on this and voice our opposition to this illegal imposition. Please come and make your voice heard. If you cannot come we covet your prayers.
