Police told suspicious landlord to “Leave the man alone” when he thought the DC terrorist was making bombs

WASHINGTON — A northern Virginia landlord says he thought a Moroccan man arrested in an alleged suicide bombing plot in Washington was suspicious and called police a year and a half ago.

Frank Dynda said today that a woman who leased an apartment in his Arlington building apparently married Amine El Khalifi and then moved out. He says when Dynda told El Khalifi to leave, he said he had a right to stay and threatened to beat Dynda up.

A counterterrorism official says El Khalifi was taken into custody Friday near the U.S. Capitol with an inoperable gun and inert explosives in a suicide vest given to him by the FBI.

Dynda says he thought El Khalifi was making bombs, but police told him to leave the man alone. Dynda had El Khalifi evicted in 2010.

Makes you wonder how many of them actually believe that stuff about the great sky-brothel that is the Mustard-paradise. After all, Iraqi Veterans often say that they catch suicide bombers mostly because they are sweating with fear. If they really believed that Koranic-crap about sky-whores they would be in a state of near bliss I would think. Except the women. I have no idea what is in Islam for women.

The three bungling Iranian bombers detained in Bangkok after they accidentally set off their explosives cavorted with prostitutes at a beach resort days before the botched attacks.

A photograph has emerged of the trio cosying up to sex workers, surrounded by hookah-pipes and drinks, in a bar in the notoriously sleazy city of Pattaya.

The revelation comes as it emerged police are now hunting for two more suspects, including a possible bomb expert, they think helped the trio as they set about targeting Israeli diplomats.

The foiled plan was discovered on Tuesday when explosives in the men’s rented house blew up by mistake, forcing them to flee.

Two men, including one who blew off his own leg when he hurled a grenade at police but it bounced back at his feet, were detained in the Thai capital.

A third was captured the following day in Malaysia as he tried to return to Iran.

After flying into the southern city of Phuket on February 8, the men moved to Pattaya, 45 miles southeast of the capital, and stayed there for at least two nights before heading to Bangkok. Continue Reading →

Authorities have arrested a man allegedly on his way to the U.S. Capitol for what he thought would be a suicide attack on one of the nation’s most symbolic landmarks, Fox News has learned exclusively.

The man, in his 30s and of Moroccan descent, was nabbed following a lengthy investigation by the FBI, initiated after he expressed interest in conducting an attack. It’s unclear how the FBI learned of his aspirations.

The man thought undercover FBI agents assisting him in his plot were associates of Al Qaeda.

When he was arrested Friday in Washington, he was carrying with him a vest supposedly packed with explosives, but the material inside was not actually dangerous, Fox News was told.

A short time earlier, he had been praying at a mosque in the Washington area. His destination was Capitol Hill.

The public was never in danger, as he had been under constant surveillance for some time, officials said.

This is rich. I guess Hamas figures that the people who were released as part of the questionable Shalit prisoner-exchange deal would somehow be immune from all future prosecutions for any future crimes for the rest of they lives.

A bungling Iranian bomber blew off his own legs when he hurled a grenade at Thai police outside a Bangkok school – which bounced off a tree and then exploded at his feet.

It came after he had blown up his own home and then hurled a grenade at a taxi driver who would not accept him as a passenger, the Bangkok Post reports.

Police allegedly found an Iranian ID card in a satchel close to the blast in the Thai capital, and unconfirmed reports suggest he is called Saeid Moradi.

Four people, three men and one woman, were injured in the explosions which come the day after Israeli diplomats were targeted in simultaneous car bombings, also believed to have been carried out by Iran.

It is not yet known if yesterday’s and today’s attacks are linked – but Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said: ‘We can’t rule out any possibility.’

More explosives were found at Moradi’s house,  in the Ekamai area of central Bangkok, which police say he had been renting with two other unidentified foreigners.

He is believed to have arrived in Bangkok, from the southern Thai resort of Phuket, on February 8.

Thailand has rarely been a target for foreign terrorists, although a domestic Muslim insurgency in the country’s south has involved bombings of civilian targets.

Someone should have told him that yes, in Bangkok it is common for foreign tourists to take their pants off in the daytime, but while a bit slower, removing them manually usually gives more satisfying results in the long run.
