A rapist exposed himself to a judge when he was brought before a court to give his plea yesterday.

Mawawe Ibraham Karam, 28, was due to stand trial accused of raping a 17-year-old in Nottingham city centre next week, after he originally pleaded not guilty.

But after exposing himself, he was removed from the Nottingham courtroom and could be heard shouting ‘I’m guilty, I’m guilty’.

After pleading guilty, Karam asked Judge Stokes to sentence him that day, repeatedly shouting: ‘Please judge, please sentence me today, please.’

He was later brought back before the judge and changed his plea to guilty.

Karam was jailed at Nottingham Crown Court today for ten years for rape and the theft of the victim’s mobile phone.

Nottinghamshire Police said they were not present during the hearing yesterday but are aware of reports the man exposed himself.

The court heard how Karam dragged a vulnerable girl, 17, into an alleyway and raped her in the early hours of March 25 this year.

Now why would the guardian run a story now trying to change the understanding that aisha was 19 years old when the vast majority of muslims believe that when was 9 years old when mohamed raped her. You will see they are running a poll on the FB app to see who agrees with this garbage, currently that shows that 173 readers agree that she was 19, 17 disagree, this is a total contradiction of how the vast majority of muslims understand islam. But funnily enough there won’t be any protests outside any embassies over this. Saudi Arabia and Iran, the 2 homes of the sections of islam both allow paedophilia as proscribed by Mohamed.

Innocence of Muslims repeated the claim Muhammad was a paedophile, but the story is more complex and interesting than that

Writing about Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, the Orientalist scholar W Montgomery Watt wrote: “Of all the world’s great men, none has been so much maligned as Muhammad.” His quote seems all the more poignant in light of the Islamophobic film Innocence of Muslims, which has sparked riots from Yemen to Libya and which, among other slanders, depicts Muhammad as a paedophile.

This claim is a recurring one among critics of Islam, so its foundation deserves close scrutiny.

Critics allege that Aisha was just six years old when she was betrothed to Muhammad, himself in his 50s, and only nine when the marriage was consummated. They base this on a saying attributed to Aisha herself (Sahih Bukhari volume 5, book 58, number 234), and the debate on this issue is further complicated by the fact that some Muslims believe this to be a historically accurate account. Although most Muslims would not consider marrying off their nine-year-old daughters, those who accept this saying argue that since the Qur’an states that marriage is void unless entered into by consenting adults, Aisha must have entered puberty early.

They point out that, in seventh-century Arabia, adulthood was defined as the onset of puberty. (This much is true, and was also the case in Europe: five centuries after Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha, 33-year-old King John of England married 12-year-old Isabella of Angoulême.) Interestingly, of the many criticisms of Muhammad made at the time by his opponents, none focused on Aisha’s age at marriage.

Those who manipulate her story to justify the abuse of young girls, and those who manipulate it in order to depict Islam as a religion that legitimises such abuse have more in common than they think. Both demonstrate a disregard for what we know about the times in which Muhammad lived, and for the affirmation of female autonomy which her story illustrates.

Suspected gang rape in city park

A 24-year-old woman walking home through central Örnsköldsvik, in northern Sweden, was dragged into a city park by several men and raped in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to local police, the crime occurred between one and two o´clock in the morning.

The woman was dragged from a nearby bus stop by the group of men, into the Örnparken parj, where she was pushed onto the icy ground, and then had her underwear pulled off, reported the local newspaper Örnsköldsviks Allehanda.

The woman was then raped by the group of men, and the police have classified the crime as aggravated rape, with an alternative charge of attempted aggravated rape.

“She’s been badly shocked by this,” said deputy head of investigation Lars-Åke Lemón to the newspaper.

The woman has been too traumatized to give much information to the police, who will soon be speaking to her again in hopes of getting more details.

No suspects have yet been arrested for the crime, and police remain unsure of how many men were involved in the rape.

TORONTO – Plagued by a spate of sexual assaults in recent years, York University students and staff were left reeling over an attack two days after classes began.

The latest case resulted in a quick arrest, Toronto Police said.

Det.-Const. Everett Dunbar said an 18-year-old woman reported being sexually attacked in the bedroom of her student residence around 2:24 a.m. Friday during a birthday party.

She said a man first followed her, closed the door and turned off the lights.

Mohammad Hadian, 19, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with sexual assault.

Five arrested over abduction and sexual assault of teenage girls

Four men and a teenage boy have been arrested in Leicester on suspicion of child abduction and sexual assault.

It is alleged one 15-year-old and three 14-year-old girls were abducted and sexually assaulted in four separate incidents in July.

Police said the four girls from Newark, Nottinghamshire, were taken to Leicestershire and assaulted.

The men, aged 18, 20 and 23, and a 17-year-old boy, are being interviewed by detectives in Nottingham.

All of them were arrested on suspicion of child abduction, while two of them were also arrested on suspicion of serious sexual assault, a police spokesman said.

Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire police jointly investigated the case.

    A pregnant rape victim in Turkey shot and decapitated her attacker then left his severed head in the square of her local village.

    The woman, five months pregnant, is demanding authorities let her have an abortion even though she is way beyond the ten week limit allowed for terminations in Turkey.

    When police arrested her near to the severed head she said; ‘That is the head of one who toyed with my honour.’

    Womens’ groups in Turkey have praised her as a heroine.  It turned out that the woman, aged 26 and a mother-of-two, had been abused by her attacker for months before she took her revenge and was being blackmailed.

Man sought in attempted abduction of 12-year-old girl

Police are searching for suspects after a man allegedly attempted to abduct a 12-year-old girl outside an East York convenience store.

The girl had left home at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police said, heading to a store near Sammon Ave. and Greenwood Ave.

On the way, she passed two men in a parked white van. One of the men then left the van and allegedly grabbed the girl’s arm, police said. She was able to escape and the man fled the scene.

The man is described as brown, about 30, 5’8”, with green eyes, white hair and a long white beard. He was wearing a taqiyah cap and robe at the time, police said.

The van has rust above the rear door hinges and wheels.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them

THREE years after returning home from the United Arab Emirates, where she was jailed for adultery after telling police she had been raped, Alicia Gali is still severely traumatised.

The Brisbane woman, 30, who spent eight months in jail, has been hospitalised three times in the past year, she still has flashbacks and nightmares and she will need more treatment.

She says that noises and smells that remind her of the “horrendous” conditions inside the squalid prison continue to trigger anxiety, panic attacks and flashbacks to her ordeal.

“It can be as simple as smells of bad body odour, certain foods, people talking in different languages, if I see something about an assault or about a prison,” she told The Sunday Mail last week.

A man who raped and sexually assaulted a 13-year-girl after plying her with drugs and alcohol has been jailed for eight years.

Rawad Bastawi was found guilty of abusing the underage teen over a number of days at an address in Whitehawk, Brighton.

The 31-year-old maintained his innocence throughout the two-week trial but was found guilty by a jury and sentenced today at  Lewes Crown Court.

Bastawi, who has no fixed address, was arrested in January this year and charged with rape and sexual activity with the 13-year-old girl.

He was also accused of the rape of a 15-year-old girl and sexual assaults against a 16-year-old girl but was found not guilty of the crimes.

Detective Constable Ed Downes, who led the investigation, said: ‘Bastawi is a despicable individual who abused the trust of the victim over a number of days by plying them with alcohol and cannabis.’

Pakistan hunt for Lockwood sex offender

A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a convicted sex offender who is believed to be in Pakistan.

Mohammed Malik, 41, failed to turn up for his trial at Bradford Crown Court this week and yesterday a jury found him guilty in his absence of three offences of sexual activity with a child.

The offences related to sexual offending against a 14-year-old Huddersfield girl who cannot be identified for legal reasons.

During the trial the jury were not told that Malik, of Rashcliffe Hill Road, Rashcliffe Hill, near Lockwood, was believed to be out of the country and yesterday his barrister Ian Brook suggested that Judge Jonathan Rose could sentence his client in his absence.

Following a tiff on a night out in early 2009 Taylor Kenney’s boyfriend Dean stormed out of the pub they were drinking in leaving her to make her own way home.

The couple made up in a phone call soon after and Taylor left the pub to meet Dean halfway as he turned back to join her.

But the 16-year-old didn’t meet Dean as planned that night.

She had been followed by illegal immigrant Jawid Armani who dragged the teenager in to an alleyway and brutally raped her.

Armani is now serving six years in jail for two counts of rape and Taylor, now 19, and Dean, 24 have married and have a two-year-old daughter Sofia.

But the couple, who live in Warwickshire, admit they have had to work hard to put the past behind them and get over Dean’s guilt at not being there to protect his girlfriend.

Speaking to Ruth Langsford and Eammon Holmes on the This Morning sofa today Taylor said:

‘We had a stupid argument and Dean left the pub to walk home.
