TORONTO – Plagued by a spate of sexual assaults in recent years, York University students and staff were left reeling over an attack two days after classes began.
The latest case resulted in a quick arrest, Toronto Police said.
Det.-Const. Everett Dunbar said an 18-year-old woman reported being sexually attacked in the bedroom of her student residence around 2:24 a.m. Friday during a birthday party.
She said a man first followed her, closed the door and turned off the lights.
Mohammad Hadian, 19, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with sexual assault.
