Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America Cautions Muslims Against Participating in American Legal System; Urges Them to “Hate It in Their Hearts”

Below is my translation of an Arabic-language paper published by the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) in 2007, and presented at their 2008 careers conference in Houston, which provides guidelines for American Muslims on what they can and cannot do vis-à-vis infidel legal systems. The paper makes clear that according to Islam, the only legitimate law is that which comes from Allah, and in fact authority to make laws rests with Allah alone. This renders every other legal system—including the American system—illegitimate.

Before I paste part of this article, I would like to add a comment of my own.
First of all, the issue in this article, and in most articles on this subject, is the issue of whether or not this food should be labeled as such. There is only one real reason why anyone would not want it labeled for the general public and that is they are afraid that people will stop buying it preferring food that was handled in accordance with Canadian standards of animal cruelty and cleanliness instead, and therefore make halal foods less available.
As to the arguments they actually use rather than what I wrote above, claiming that it is no more this or that and is just as good in this way than anything else etc. and not to want it is bigotry and hatred let me ask a few questions.
Does a Muslim or Jew have the right to see food stuffs containing pork or pig products labelled as such? I think very few would say no and that is even if these food products were shown to be safe, nutritious and in all ways legal. So you don’t need a rational reason, even if you have one, to legally chose what you want to eat.
Same with vegetarians. Hell some scholarly academic papers have shown that vegetarians have smaller brains as animal meat protein is necessary to maintain the full function of the human brain. (this explains a lot of the political left IMO) but they still have a right to choose not to eat meat even though it may actually be bad for them to do it.
Muslims obviously have the right to chose halal meats and products for their own reasons of superstition and manifest destiny (much of the money collected for the halal cert. is used to spread Islam, build mosques etc.) and so by that token and more, the rest of us have every right to refuse to buy it and certainly to eat it.
We simply are not a free country if we do not get the information we need to make choices for ourselves. Like England, this makes us a soft-totalitarian state. Being allowed to make our own choices, but tricked into making theirs.

Few issues inspire the three main parties in Quebec’s National Assembly to rise above partisanship and speak as one. But the urgent need to label halal meat, it appears, is one.
On Thursday, Liberal Premier Jean Charest joined the chorus begun a day earlier by the Parti Québécois calling for stricter labelling to ensure Quebecers do not unwittingly consume meat slaughtered according to Islamic rite.
“I say to those who process [meat] today, if they are halal animals, do yourself a favour as a producer and at the same time for the consumers, and say so on your products’ labelling,” he told reporters. “That way consumers will know exactly what they are buying.”

François Legault, leader of the Coalition Avenir Quebec, insisted halal products need to be clearly labelled. “We are in Quebec and [halal slaughter] must be an exception,” he said. “It must not be the rule in Quebec. The consumer must be informed when there is halal meat.”
The sudden concern about animal slaughter practices was not prompted by any public-health scare or consumer outcry. Rather, the controversy began with an alarmist TV news report this week revealing that, for the past two years, a major Quebec poultry processing plant has been certified so that all its meat qualifies as halal, even if only a small percentage aimed at Muslim customers is labelled as such. “Does it bother you to buy halal meat without knowing it?” the program, hosted by former provincial politician Mario Dumont, asked. Mom charged in disabled daughter’s 2011 death
Now this should be interesting. Remember Robert Latimer? He was jailed for a really long time for euthanizing his daughter after many years of really intense, expensive care of a daughter in a vegetative state. He euthanized her at the point where state care was cruel and the attention required by this disabled daughter meant none of the rest of his family would have any resources at all for school or time or attention by the parents.
Robert Latimer was honest with the police. With the courts. With the Judge and he went to jail for a really long time. It will be interesting indeed to see how the courts treat this Islamic equivalent who fabricated a ‘home invasion’ to cover for her murder of her disabled daughter.

The 41-year-old woman initially told Toronto Police she was home alone with her daughter when she answered a knock on the door just before noon on Feb. 19, 2011 and two masked men burst into the townhouse at 150 Burrows Hall Ct.
A man led the woman from room to room in search of an unspecified package while the other stayed with her daughter, she told police.
The woman claimed by the time the bandits left her daughter had stopped breathing.
“That was what was reported to investigators at the time,” Const. Tony Vella said Friday. “But we don’t believe that is what occurred.”
The teen, who has only been described as having “severe” mental and physical disabilities, was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.

PHOENIX – An Iraqi mother accused of beating her teenage daughter for not going along with an arranged marriage pleaded not guilty Monday in a case police said involved burning the teen on her face and chest with a hot spoon.
Yusra Farhan, 50, entered the plea to charges of aggravated assault, unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest.
The daughter, 19, refused to participate in an arranged marriage with a 38-year-old man, authorities said.
Two other defendants, the victim’s sister, 18-year-old Tabarak Altameemi, and father, 45-year-old Mohammed Altameemi, also pleaded not guilty to assault and unlawful imprisonment.
MyFoxPhoenix.com cited court records showing that on Feb. 7 Mohammed Altameemi got mad at his daughter because she left night class with a boy. The father picked her up at school and took her home.
He is accused of cutting his daughter’s neck with a knife. Police say he admitted he was trying to kill her, but Tabarak Altameemi intervened.
They, other siblings and Farhan then allegedly taped the 19-year-old’s mouth, bound her hands and body with rope and beat her.

A Canadian Muslim youth organization has been stripped of its charitable status after a Canada Revenue Agency investigation linked it to a Saudi-based group that allegedly financed Islamist terror campaigns.
An audit of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth revealed the charity had developed ties to a number of organizations that allegedly helped fund al-Qaeda operations around the world and failed to comply with a number of standards required for charities to maintain their status.
In a warning letter to the Toronto-area organization last summer, CRA director-general Cathy Hawara said “our analysis of the Organization’s operations has led the CRA to believe…[it] was established to support the goals and operations of its parent organization, located in Saudi Arabia, which has been alleged to support terrorism.”
WAMY, known in Canada for running Islamic camps and pilgrimages for youth, was stripped of its status on Feb. 11. It failed to keep proper books and records, maintain a specific charitable purpose and distinguish itself from parent organization WAMY (Saudi Arabia), which had been alleged to support terrorist activity, the CRA audit said.
“The audit findings did not reveal any apparent separation between the activities of WAMY (Saudi Arabia) and WAMY, with all related financial and operating positions being made by WAMY (Saudi Arabia),” it reads. “This leads to a reasonable inference that WAMY has little or no independent function; therefore it cannot be concluded that it is carrying out its own charitable activities for which it is registered.”

Twenty three accused defendants will face a Federal judge and jury in Tennessee next month on charges of slaving girls as young as 12-years-old.

Real Clear Politics reports that in the indictments handed down, “the Somali gangsters who ran these sex trafficking rings used them to finance their lifestyle — and to provide for their own sexual satisfactions as well.”
The article went on to state the indictment also read:
“One defendant, Haji Osman Salad, nicknamed “Hollywood,” later made Jane Doe Two ‘his girl.’He would pick her up from public school, take her to an apartment for sex, and then order her to have sex with other men.”

A former medic in Dearborn, Michigan is going after his old employers with a sex discrimination suit. According to John Benitez Jr, he lost his job with the city’s Department of Health because he provided medical care to Muslim patients.
Benitez, 63, has spent half his life as a registered nurse. In September 2010, he joined the ranks of Dearborn’s Health Department to assist patients in one of the largest Muslim communities in America. Even with a booming population of immigrants practicing Islam, the nurse says that his supervisor told him that they were off limits.
Benitez says that his former employer lectured him against providing care to female Muslim patients that sought help, and instead asked him to send them to her, a Muslim, for treatment. According to the suit recently filed, the Muslim supervisor told Benitez that “conservative” Muslims, specifically women garbed in hijab head scarves, would not want to be touched by a male nurse. Benitez followed the instruction until November 17, when according to the legal filing, a doctor questioned him “about the cumbersome and unusual practice of taking women wearing a head scarf to the nursing supervisor for care.” As a trained, licensed medical professional — and employee of the city — Benitez should have been providing care to anyone in need. After the doctor confronted him about it in November and said the supervisor’s instructions were “improper,” Benitez went back to treating everyone that came in.
Only two weeks later, Benitez was fired.
According to the legal papers, the nurse was explicitly told that the termination was “not because of any performance problem, but was instead carried out because the clinic’s conservative male Muslim clientele did not want a male treating female patients.” More than 30 years after entering the practice — a tenure which included a stint asVietnam war Army medic — the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission gave Benitez the go ahead to sue last month and on Wednesday he filed the discrimination suit in Detroit U.S. District Court
City officials have not offered any comments to the media just yet, though Benitez’ attorney says that their client is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as his job reinstated and lost wages and benefits.
