Revolution Muslim website hacked in retaliation for targeting South Park creators

The Muslim website, Revolution Muslim based in New York City, has been hacked in retaliation for the fact that the website targeted South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone over of two recent episodes that satirized the Prophet Muhammad. Currently, Revolution Muslim’s website is down.

The hack was first noticed Wednesday night and lasted for a brief period of time. According to Gawer.com, the hackers managed to redirect Revolution Muslim’s website to another website called Revolution Islam.  When a visitor went to Revolution Muslim’s website they were redirected to images of Prophet Muhammad with a bomb on his head and an older Muslim man kissing a young boy passionately. Britain’s Ominous Smiley-Face Election

With a general election set for May 6, the two main parties have, as Peter Goodspeed notes in Canada’s National Post, busied themselves “adopting U.S. policies, personnel and practices.” The British press, too, is full of talk about “presidential-style” TV debates and “first lady politics”. The Americanizing of the British election becomes even more evident if one listens to Conservative party leader David Cameron, who routinely references president Barack Obama – as an apparent inspiration – and who has even, on a few occasions, cited John F. Kennedy as “a great American president.”

But despite the US-UK “special relationship,” the British, as well as other Europeans, misread American culture. They admire the US’s vitality, yet believe it to be entirely separated from its traditional, Constitutional values.

To the European mindset, free speech (which necessarily includes “hate speech”), gun ownership, etc., are the sort of unsophisticated convictions that the nation’s dynamism should be evolving away from.

This mindset is illustrated in how the EU  has been formed. Although  consciously modeled after the US, many national “independence” parties -– not to mention Soviet dissidents such as Vladimir Bukovksy -– believe the EU resembles something much closer to the USSR. Continue Reading →

The Labservatives — an Interesting Election Video

Whatever one might think of the Liberal Democrats, this election video, ridiculing Labour and the Conservatives as the same thing, is certainly spot on. I’m not sure that the LibDems themselves are much different, but the video is worth watching. Also check out their shop and comments section.

Sharia Stock Exchange to Launch in London

LONDON, March 17 (Reuters) – The first electronic trading platform allowing sharia-compliant companies to raise cash will launch in London in May, the venture capital firm behind the project told Reuters on Thursday.

UNICEF supports Palestinian hate ad

Donor organizations to the Palestinian Authority have been challenged for years to prevent their well-intentioned contributions from being directed towards hate promotion by the PA, its institutions and its NGOs.

This advertisement is another example of the misuse of UN funding. An ad by a Palestinian youth organization, PYALARA, which is funded by UNICEF, shows an axe destroying a Star of David. The UNICEF logo is right on the ad. The large Star of David that has been destroyed has on it pictures of stars and stripes, presumably representing the USA, and an additional smaller Star of David.

Socialist Stars in Conservative Party Campaign Video

Just when you think the Conservative party couldn’t be any more open about it’s socialist turn, the party has posted a campaign video on its website, staring a former-police officer and self-professed “socialist” who explains why she is voting Conservative. “My whole background is a socialist background, with strong socialist beliefs. The whole of my voting life, I have supported the Labour party,” she says, now “I’m voting Tory for the first time.”

Million’s Poet finalist defies death threats

A housewife who was the subject of death threats after reciting a poem on the Million’s Poet television show that attacked “ad hoc fatwas” performed a similar poem this week – and reached the final.
Hissa Hilal, a Saudi, said her work was inspired by what she called “subversive” fatwas, specifically one issued by Sheikh Abdul-Rahman al Barrak, a Saudi cleric, on his website last month.

Her recital on the Abu Dhabi TV show last week sparked controversy in Saudi Arabia, especially on internet forums. According to reports, many viewers praised her for her courage, but others attacked her for criticising clerics and reciting her poems in public. One website called for her death.

But Ms Hilal defied the threats, delivering a similar poem on Wednesday’s show – and she received the highest score of the round, 47 out of 50. Continue Reading →

Wearing a dark suit and tie, the wartime political leader of Bosnia’s Serbs today ended a previous boycott of his genocide and war crimes trial to open his own defence.

”I stand before you not to defend the mere mortal that I am but to defend the greatness of a small nation in Bosnia and Herzegovina which for 500 years has had to suffer and has demonstrated of modesty and perseverance to survive in freedom,” he told the court in his opening statement.
