Action News has learned that Philadelphia Police are now searching for three people, 1 man and 2 women, in connection with Monday’s abduction of a 5-year-old girl in West Philadelphia.
Police say one of the women actually abducted the girl, signing her out of Bryant Elementary school Monday morning.
They believe the other woman rescued the girl from a home in West Philadelphia and dropped her off at a playground in Upper Darby, where she was eventually found.
Police have not identified any of the suspects by name.
More details are expected in a police news conference scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The girl went missing Monday morning after her mother dropped her off at Bryant Elementary School in West Philadelphia. That was at 8:45 a.m.
Police say minutes later, a woman dressed in Muslim garb which only showed her eyes, signed in with the name “Tiffany.”
The woman was told to go to the school’s office. But police say she went to the girl’s classroom instead, telling the substitute teacher on duty she was the girl’s mother and was taking her to breakfast.

In a burglary of a White Plains, New York home, burglars went straight for the gun safe. Police are investigating whether the publication of names and addresses of gun permit holders by the newspaper played any part in the crime.
Around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, at least two burglars broke into the White Plains home. The owner of the home, a man in his 70s, was not at home at the time.
Newsday reports the burglars gained entrance to the house through a second story window. There was glass in the yard and a ladder leading up to the second floor. It was reported the burglars went straight for the safe that contained legally registered weapons but they abandoned the theft when they could not get the safe open. One person has been taken into custody.
As Digital Journal reported, on Dec. 23, 2012, nine days after the Sandy Hook shooting, The Journal News, based in the lower Hudson Valley, published a map showing the names and addresses of persons who had legal gun permits in Westchester and Rockland Counties. An attempt to include Putnam County was foiled after that county refused to provide the information to the newspaper.

Instead Obama plans to nominate John Brennan, also known as every movie villain ever, to be the CIA Director. It seems like it would be simpler to just pick the first guy out of Gitmo and give it to him, but Brennan has more tenure than they do.

Inmates using newspaper’s gun owner map to threaten guards, sheriff says

Law enforcement officials from a New York region where a local paper published a map identifying gun owners say prisoners are using the information to intimidate guards.
Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco, who spoke at a news conference flanked by other county officials, said the Journal News’ decision to post an online map of names and addresses of handgun owners Dec. 23 has put law enforcement officers in danger.
“They have inmates coming up to them and telling them exactly where they live. That’s not acceptable to me,” Falco said, according to Newsday.

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood has been accused of taking 10 billion Egyptian pounds (U.S. $1.5 billion) from the American government, according to claims by Egyptian lawyers.
An immediate investigation into the accusation was ordered by Prosecutor General Talaat Abdallah on Thursday.
The lawyers, Mohamed Ali Abd al-Wahab and Yasser Mohamed Sayab, filed the complaint against the Muslim Brotherhood for the allegedly illegal money transaction, Egypt’s private daily Al-Masry Al-Youm reported on Jan. 3.

A member of the Saudi Arabian military in the U.S. for a training mission has been charged with raping a boy in a Strip hotel on New Year’s Eve.
Mazen Alotaibi, a 23-year-old sergeant in the Royal Saudi Air Force, was arrested Dec. 31 and accused of assaulting a 13-year-old boy in a Circus Circus hotel room bathroom.
According to a Las Vegas police report, Alotaibi was on the sixth floor of the hotel about 7:30 a.m. when he pulled the boy into his room. Three other men were in the room smoking marijuana, the report said.
The boy told police that none of the men spoke English.
Alotaibi later told police he offered the boy money for sex, and when he refused, he raped the boy, the report said. […] and his penis “accidentally” went into the boy’s rectum.

In an attempt to seize total control over national security and bypass congress, a frightening new step by the Obama Administration is coming into play. As noted in Friday’s Wall Street Journal in an op-ed by John Bolton and John Woo, a State Department advisory group that is run by former Secretary of Defense William Perry is advising that the U.S. and Russia both reduce nuclear weapons without a treaty, as a treaty would require ratification by Congress. This would allow Obama and his executive branch to unilaterally cut our nuclear weaponry and ignore the treaty clause of the Constitution.
As Bolton and Woo point out, the US has a greater global responsibility than Russia; Iran and North Korea, neither of which is far from Russian interests, can only be countered by U.S. military strength. In addition, they note that Russia is not a trustworthy partner in weapons reduction; it has violated many arms-control agreements, such as the 1991 Presidential Nuclear Initiatives.

Arrested: Morgan Gliedman, 27, is nine months pregnant
The daughter of a prominent New York doctor and her Occupy Wall Street-organizer boyfriend were arrested after police discovered an explosive used for making bombs and a cache of weapons in their upscale New York City apartment, it was claimed.
Morgan Gliedman, 27, and Aaron Greene, 31, were taken away from their home in Manhattan’s pricey Greenwich Village on Saturday.
Gliedman, who is nine months pregnant, is the daughter of a top Brooklyn cancer doctor and was educated at the Dalton School, an exclusive New York prep school attended by the likes of Anderson Cooper and Claire Danes.
Greene went to Harvard University for his undergraduate degree and did graduate work at the Kennedy School of Government there, as well.
The New York Post reports that police found seven grams of HMTD, a high explosive powder that was reportedly used in the 2005 London Underground bombings.
Officers discovered bomb-making instructions, including one document titled ‘The Terrorist Encyclopedia,’ according to the newspaper…

New York Newspaper to Release More Names of Gun Permit Owners After Uproar
This is a truly horrible tactic by a newspaper. I think the publisher and editorial staff are richly deserving of similar treatment by others for what they are doing to legal and law abiding gun owners. I hope none of these people have stuff on their computers or in their homes that others might want to use for nefarious purposes. Because I can imagine their privacy will be as tenuous as they have made the privacy of these gun owners.

Following the shooting in Newtown, CT a suburban New York newspaper sparked quite an uproar among gun enthusiasts by publishing names and addresses of residents who held pistol permits. Now this same newspaper is looking to publish even more names.
More names and addresses will be added to a map that was originally posted on Christmas Eve in the Journal News from White Plains, NY. The first map listed thousands of pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland county, which are just north of New York City.
Along with an article entitled “The gun owner next door: What you don’t know about the weapons in your neighborhood,” the map was compiled in response to the December 14 shooting deaths of 26 children and adults in Newtown, Connecticut, editors of the Gannett Corp.-owned newspaper said.
This next list will show the names of permit holders in Putnam County, New York. The county clerk told the newspaper that it is still compiling information.

- A recent college graduate has been arrested after he told an undercover FBI agent posing as the father of two girls, aged 10 and 13, that he wanted to have sex with them and impregnate one.
Agents swooped on Dwipin Thomas Maliackal, 24, after he travelled from his home in Seminole, Florida to the Orlando area to meet the man and his daughters.
He had met the undercover agent on an incest chat room on December 7 where Maliackal, who graduated from University of South Florida this summer, used the name ‘Horny_Indian’.

The Islamic Center sued, asserting—as you might have guessed—it was religious discrimination. The cry of “Islamophobia” got the Justice Department on its side, and the zoning commission suddenly changed its mind after a closed session.
The current Islamic Center was established in 1999 and serves 100 families. Feeling that more space was needed, the Center purchased the property in 2008 and made the $3.5 million proposal in the spring of 2010. It calls for a facility with an 80 foot minaret to serve as a community center and mosque, including eight classrooms, two libraries, three offices, a kitchen, a gymnasium and other rooms. It has a capacity for 1,000 people.
