Two major transport disasters in one day.

Train explodes destroying an entire town in Quebec Canada. Name of driver of train not given.

1. Sixty missing and scores feared dead as runaway train carrying hundreds of tons of oil derails and explodes in fireball in Canadian town center

The center of a Quebec town has been wiped out, according to the mayor, after a runaway freight train carrying crude oil derailed and exploded in a fireball at 1am on Saturday.

About 30 buildings were destroyed and 60 people are believed to be missing, but the force of the fire has prevented rescue workers from searching for survivors.

Parts of the town were evacuated in the early hours as fireballs shot several metres in the air, flames spread to nearby homes and thick acrid smoke filled the air in Lac-Megantic, which is close to the Maine border and about 250km from Montreal.

2. Boeing 777 crashes at San Francisco International Airport

CNN) — A Boeing 777 operated by Asiana Airlines crashed while landing Saturday at San Francisco International Airport.

Flight 214 left Seoul’s Incheon International Airport earlier Saturday and flew 10 hours and 23 minutes to California, according to FlightAware, a website that offers tracking services for private and commercial air traffic.

Anthony Castorani, who witnessed the flight land from a nearby hotel, said he saw the plane touch the ground then noticed a larger plume of white smoke.

“You heard a pop and you immediately saw a large, brief fireball that came from underneath the aircraft,” he told CNN.

Three posts that violate my own rule on US domestic policy

I have done my best since I started this site to at least try and not post things on US domestic policy except where it crosses over into irrational, or hard leftism, or with Islam and its consequences. Of course with an Obama administration I could probably report on the dinner menu at the White House and still not violate those rules given the frequent Ikhwan guest lists there.

Even so, and you can ask some of my fellow travelers such as Tundra Tabloids, I have rejected things which were interesting but distracting from the mission as they can bring you down to the level of geopolitical gossip and defocus the mission and it is a mission which grows more critical by the week.

Even so, here are three stories that I can’t resist. Ill do my best to go back to my usual, albeit oft badly applied, filters after this one:

1. Woman runs over man who tried to car jack her. And if she was white, I bet she would be under arrest but if she is not, she and the carjacker will likely enjoy a beer at the White house as Obama’s guests.

2. Obama phone no strings attached! A needle or two though or maybe a pipe.

A moving and accurate video from a US Louisiana Senator Elbert Guillory (R-Opelousas) explains why he recently switched from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party. What a shame that the GOP is about as useless as the Democrats now and equally as infiltrated by Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Mosques off-limits by government snooping since 2011, IBD editorial claims

An editorial posted in the Investor’s Business Daily on Wednesday had some scathing remarks for the Obama administration, after claiming that despite the NSA’s sweeping PRISM program, mosques have been off-limits by FBI surveillance since October 2011.

“That’s right, the government’s sweeping surveillance of our most private communications excludes the jihad factories where homegrown terrorists are radicalized,” the editorial reads.

High-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department, dubbed the Sensitive Operations Review Committee, is needed in order to surveil a mosque, and the names of the chairman, members and staff are kept secret, IBD claims.

“We do know the panel was set up under pressure from Islamist groups who complained about FBI stings at mosques,” it said.

General uptick in jihad like activity everywhere from blogs to ethnic cleansing to unprovoked attacks on indigenous people.

The time the night is through I hope to make sense of this title. So much is coming in so quickly that it is hard to organize and present it clearly.

Ill try and at least post some point forms for some of the activity today here:

1. In the UK, one division of EDL are reporting the following via EDL Buck’s news feed:

Facebook post from casuals Casuals United
Word from our Manchester lot is widespread disorder in Ashton under Lyne large groups of Muslims and white youths on the streets, police everywhere after vicious racial attack on white teenagers on weekend. BBC saying nothing as usual. More as we get it. When it does escalate and they cant hide it I expect they will blame the EDL

2. today alone there have been a number of bomb scares and actual explosions

and Princeton:

EDL Buck adds this:

Any one got any pics or intel on what’s happening in Ashton , greater Manchester right now. News is police have the place on lock down?

There is a great deal more coming in by phone, skype and email. I am just glad as hell I don’t have a fax machine any more. Ill try and be more detailed and lucid as information becomes available. Also readers here may also be aware that my site has been up and down a lot. Oh how they try, how they try.
