I’m pretty sure it’s a joke. Isn’t it?

GENEVA, Dec. 28 – With UN flags at half-mast today at its Human Rights Council (see photo right) and other buildings to mark the funeral of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il, a Geneva-based human rights group called on the UN to show equal sympathy for the victims of Kim’s ruthless regime.
“We understand that the UN follows diplomatic protocol, but the world body must not forget that its founding purpose is to defend basic human rights, and sadly that message is at serious risk of being blurred today,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a leading advocacy group at the UN for human rights in North Korea. “Today should be a time for the UN to show solidarity with the victims — the millions of North Koreans brutalized by Kim’s merciless policies of starvation, torture and oppression — and not with the perpetrator,” Neuer said. Continue Reading →
First, a video I already posted yesterday. Testimony by a camp survivor from North Korea.
Second, Ron Paul explaining to Iranian state media that Gaza is a concentration camp. You know Gaza, the place the UN said is in the top ten fattest nations on earth?
Thirdly, some footage of days of forced mourning in North Korea over a man who claimed to be the worlds greatest golfer ever on his first game an does not ever defecate while the South Koreans throw a party.
Clearly Kim Jong Il studied Hitler and Orwell’s writings and thought what great ideas those were. (paraphrasing Hitchens)
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il’s death was noted on Twitter as an epic loss to golf, with hundreds recalling the Stalinist state media’s reports of Kim’s 11 holes-in-one in a single round in 1994.
Reports hailed Kim’s 38-under par 34 over 18 holes at the 7,700-yard Pyongyang Golf Course in his first try at golf, a feat watched purportedly by 17 security guards protecting the man hailed as “Dear Leader.” Continue Reading →
Frankly I don’t even see the point. Either no one will believe her if she manages to tell the truth, or the other dictators who run the UN will use what she says as data-points to better oppress their own people.

Below is a great little video which does a fine job of mocking the stratospheric pomposity of Kim Jong Il. No one liked a spectacle more than Kim and often he would be the only spectator in a football stadium sized venue where hundreds of his slaves would have worked for months or years to put on a cheesy musical.
And how could they not? Those selected slaves could enjoy payment of less starvation than the ones not picked for such glorious duty.
As important as it is to mock the self important as they climb the social ladder of their own minds at the expense and suffering of millions, it’s good to remember the costs
***UPDATE*** Kim’s youngest son, Kim Un appears to be the new leader who I predict will be dubbed, ‘The fattest kid in North Korea’ by the first truly observant journalist out there.
This next week should be awful for the slaves of North Korea. Presumably anyone caught not grieving with sufficient suffering will be jailed, tortured, beaten or killed as it was when Kim’s father passed away.
In any case, get ready for events to start to move quickly.
In requiem, let me offer this little insight for a little man.
When one actually needs a colostomy bag it is a blessed thing. It offers hope and mobility to the infirm. It can give back a sense of life to one who has been injured or is ill. But that doesn’t mean that it should be allowed to rule the northern part of the Korean peninsula.
If there was any justice, they would let the rest of North Korea eat him.
High-ranking U.S. State Department officials have visited Korea recently to ask Seoul to step up sanctions against Iran, which is believed to be developing nuclear weapons. The U.S. apparently wants Seoul to halt imports of Iranian petrochemical products and crude oil.
Following a visit last month by State Department Undersecretary Wendy Sherman, the Obama administration now plans to dispatch Robert Einhorn, a State Department advisor for non-proliferation and arms control, to seek strengthened sanctions against Iran by the Korean government, a diplomatic source said Wednesday.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reportedly urged President Lee Myung-bak and Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan on the sidelines of the High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan on Tuesday to join U.S. sanctions.
The source said, “The U.S. wants Korea to halt purchases of Iranian crude oil just as France has done.” The U.S. wants to block Iran’s crude oil exports, which are its main source of income.
According to government statistics, Korea’s trade with Iran amount to US$10 billion a year, with crude oil accounting for $5-6 billion. Crude oil imports from Iran account for 9.6 percent of Korea’s total oil imports.
Seoul is therefore less than enthusiastic. A government official said, “I believe it will not be too late to reach a decision on the matter after monitoring the situation further.” Another reason for caution is that Iranian protesters stormed the British Embassy in Tehran on Tuesday shortly after the U.K. said it would apply sanctions against the Middle Eastern country in order to halt its nuclear weapons program.
But another government source said, “We can’t ignore a request from our closest ally. Given closer relations between Tehran and Pyongyang in exchanging nuclear weapons technology, we are looking to take appropriate steps.”

SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Yonhap) — Hundreds of North Korean nuclear and missile experts have been collaborating with their Iranian counterparts in more than 10 locations across the Islamic state, a diplomatic source said Sunday.
The revelation lends credence to long-held suspicions that North Korea was helping Iran with a secret nuclear and missile program.
