Pearson airport rules can take the bark out of your trip home
As sharia and Islamic cultural norms begin to imprint themselves on Canadian culture.
Personally I tend to look for a cross hanging from a cab’s rear view or a photo of a Lebanese Catholic saint before I step in a cab. Saves a lot of hassle.

TORONTO – Last Monday morning at 1:30 a.m. I came out of Pearson Airport with my dachsie Kishka in tow looking for a limo to drive us home.
Kishka, as is the requirement whenever I fly to and from my home in Florida, was comfortably zipped up in his soft kennel.
He was half-asleep at that hour — and so hidden away — that the first driver in line headed towards me to start loading my luggage.
It was when he grabbed Kishka’s kennel and realized a dog was in there that he turned around quickly and waved me away.
The second driver, also a visible minority, said “No” the moment I approached him.
The second driver — who works for McIntosh Limousine — refused to give me a reason for refusing me or his name.
Thankfully, a third driver eventually pulled up. He had no issue transporting Kishka, who promptly fell asleep in his kennel the moment we hit the highway.
The fare plus tip to my midtown Toronto home was $65.
I hadn’t anticipated writing a column about this.
However after I posted my plight on Facebook later that day, I soon discovered I’d opened quite the can of worms.
Iran ups the anti on its increased islamification of the land. ‘arresting’ dogs
Mohamed’s loathing of dogs is legendary, sending his armies to slaughter all the dogs of entire cities he conquered, even helper dogs for the disabled.
Iran, in an effort to be more like the ‘perfect human being, Mohamed’ has started to ‘arrest’ dogs, put them in conditions where many die, and try and force owners to consider dog-ownership so inconvenient that they give up on it altogether.
It would appear that Iran has learned totalitarianism from Western nations with smoking bans etc. which violate basic constitutional freedoms. Make it bureaucratic, clumsy, hard to navigate and not so brutal that it makes good press or gets the masses to angry too fast, but achieves your ideological goals as quickly as possible with minimal resistance.

Muslim cab driver refuses guide dog in Letchworth

A BLIND man says he was refused use of a taxi in Letchworth because the Muslim driver would not allow his guide dog in the car.

Stevenage resident Sean Dilley had been at Letchworth Sports and Tennis Club in Muddy Lane with his guide dog Chipp on Sunday evening for a blind tennis demonstration.
Friends had organised for a taxi driver to pick up the 29-year-old after the event and take him back to Letchworth rail station.
But when the driver arrived shortly after 7pm to pick him up, he refused to let Sean and Chipp in the car.
“The driver turned up and said you are more than welcome but I’m not taking your dog,” said Sean, who has been blind for 15 years.
“He said it was because he was a Muslim. I was horrified. This sort of thing happens all the time and it’s not acceptable.”
The debate between Sean and the driver was caught on camera by a friend.
It has been reported that some strands of Islam teach that dogs should be avoided because the animal’s saliva is considered to be impure.
Sean is a freelance broadcaster and parliamentary lobby correspondent for talkSPORT and last year made a film for the BBC’s Daily Politics show highlighting how many businesses and restaurants refused entry to guide dogs.
He called the taxi firm Gary’s Taxis to complain but was told the driver was within his rights.
But Sean believes that the driver was breaking disability discrimination law by refusing to take them and has reported the matter to North Herts Council, which licenses taxis in the district.
Below is the video the man’s friend shot. I have enhanced the audio to the best of my ability given what time I had available. A lot of it is still unclear but you can very clearly hear the cabbie explaining that it is islam that prevents him from accepting the guide dog.

A man with a fear of dogs drowned after he fled in terror from a Staffordshire Bull Terrier – straight into a lake.
Mohammed Faisal, 24, died after he jumped head-first into a bush which stood next to the lake, a former brick pit, Peterborough Coroner’s Court heard yesterday.
The inquest heard that the dog’s owner Ritchie Frost did his best to assist Mr Faisal, who could not swim, but that he died after the lake plunge on September 28, 2011.
Mr Faisal, from Millfield, Peterborough, had been walking home when he was scared by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Locki, which was being walked by Mr Frost and his children.
He died close to the nearby Ikea Distribution Centre, where he had worked as a call centre operator for about six weeks, at around 5.30pm.
In a police statement read out to the inquest Mr Frost, from the Fletton area of Peterborough, said he had taken the dog off its lead and was alerted to Mr Faisal’s presence after hearing a ‘scream’ from around a bend in the path.
Mr Frost said he saw Mr Faisal dive head-first into a bush towards the lake.
The dog tried to ‘trot’ after Mr Faisal, but obeyed when Mr Frost called it back.

The recent killing of over a dozen dogs in Lerida, Spain, located in the northeastern region of Catalonia, was appalling. As a proud owner of a beautiful black Labrador, I was at first enraged, but then I realized that as the Muslim populations grows — not just in Spain, but in Europe and America as well — we could well see more of this barbarism. I cannot believe this group represents all Muslims, but it makes me wonder if this is the a beginning step towards forcing dhimmi status on the infidels of Lerida. Currently the largely immigrant Muslim population is 20% of the total population.
Two Islamic groups in Lerida are already asking officials to regulate the presence of dogs in public spaces because dogs are seen as unclean, and their presence in public could offend Muslims. They are also demanding that dogs are banned from all forms of public transportation, which would include all city buses, and areas frequented by Muslims.
There are so many things that offend Muslims. As their population grows, I wonder what will be next on their dhimmi list.
It also makes we wonder what will happen when they make up 30-40% of Lerida’s population. Will they ask for the crosses be removed from churches? Will they want to abolish any other outward sign of a non-Muslim religion? After all, such things would also offend Muslims under traditional laws concerning dhimmis.
Will the Catholic Christians in the city be forced to worship or preach out of earshot of all Muslims, so they don’t get offended? Will the persecution of both Christians and Jews grow as the Muslim population grows?
With Spain’s low birth rate and the Muslim high birth rate it will not be long before the native Spanish are a minority. When the Muslims grow to be 60-70 % of the populations will the Christians minority be forced into dhimmi status? Will they not be allowed to build new churches or the even renovate old ones? How tolerant will the Muslims be? Will the Muslims take over churches and turn them into mosques, or even demolish them? What will be the fate of the Christians when they are in the minority?
Bethlehem was at one time a majority Christian city, but after it came under the control of the Palestinian Authority, Christians became a minority within ten years. Could this become the fate of Lerida’s Christian population? Will there come a time when the Muslims learn tolerance and simply learn to accept other religions? History tells us a different story.
While there are many tolerant Muslims in the world, I don’t see any in Lerida, Spain. I believe that Europeans and North Americans must see take as an object lesson. Is Islamization a real threat to our free societies? Is this really the first step in forcing the people of Lerida under dhimmi status? Yes, I believe it is. People must be aware of this clear and present threat to our culture and freedoms. As I have said in past articles, not all Muslims are evil, but we must wake up!

Muslims in Spain Declare Jihad on Dogs
Coming to a city near all of us. Our freedoms are being eroded at record speed. Anything Mohamed didn’t like, will soon be impossible for us. Mohamed shortly after attacking, raping and pillaging the city of Yathrib, now called, ‘Medina’, ordered his army to slaughter every dog in the city, including but not limited to, a helper dog for a disabled woman who lived alone, despite the protests of one of his own commanders.
Now its Spain’s turn.

Spanish authorities are investigating the recent deaths by poisoning of more than a dozen dogs in Lérida, a city in the northeastern region of Catalonia that has become ground zero in an intensifying debate over the role of Islam in Spain.
All of the dogs were poisoned in September (local media reports here, here, here, here and here) in Lérida’s working class neighbourhoods of Cappont and La Bordeta, districts that are heavily populated by Muslim immigrants and where many dogs have been killed in recent years.
Local residents say Muslim immigrants killed the dogs because according to Islamic teaching dogs are “unclean” animals.
Over the past several months, residents taking their dogs for walks have been harassed by Muslim immigrants opposed to seeing the animals in public. Muslims have also launched a number of anti-dog campaigns on Islamic websites and blogs based in Spain. Continue Reading →
Mainstream American Muslim “Jurisprudence” on Dogs
Andrew Bostom wrote this piece which happens to fit into one of my two areas of special interest in terms of Islam and Western civilization. The arts, and dogs. The arts mostly because a huge segment, nearly all, of the left leaning arts community label those who oppose the influence of Islam as being “fascist”, “hateful”, “intolerant”, the list of ad hominem’s is both long and predictable. So I try and put a special emphasis on how artists are treated in nations where Islamic influence is in ascendence, like Bangladesh or England, both nations which are seeing more areas were music and representational art are being forcibly stopped.
Dogs, because I happen to really like dogs. I think Islam’s founder’s attitudes towards dogs, the fact that once he took the city of Yathrib he ordered his gang to kill all the dogs including service dogs etc. tells us really all we need to know about his attitudes and personality. After all, that a ‘prophet of god’ would seek the utter destruction of one of gods own creations creates quite a few conundrums I should think.

In follow-up to the wrenching story related yesterday about Wiley, a cruelly brutalized Afghan mutt—treated in accord with doctrinal and historical Islamic attitudes towards dogs—I discovered the fatwas (reproduced below) on dogs and dog ownership, from the mainstream American Muslim font of Islamic “jurisprudence,” the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA).
The AMJA mission statement maintains:
[The AMJA was] founded to provide guidance for Muslims living in North America. … AMJA is a religious organization that does not exploit religion to achieve any political ends, but instead provides practical solutions within the guidelines of Islam and the nation’s laws to the various challenges experienced by Muslim communities.
A report in The Muslim Observer published October 21, 2010, highlighting AMJA’s “seventh annual American conference of imams,” confirms the organization’s mainstream acceptance as by the American Muslim community. Thus AMJA and its recent “training” conference for American imams weredescribed in these banal terms:
The organization AMJA (Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America) has a list of scholars associated with it which stretches from Al-Azhar University to Virginia’s Open University, and back across the ocean to the professors at Saudi universities. Its website, amjaonline.com, provides fatawa on many issues and promises 24-hour access to scholars who can give legal opinions on the issues people face. AMJA focuses on providing fatwas to Americans, and believes it is able to provide culturally appropriate fatwas although many of their scholars are not American–because they have some American scholars and because of the technological ties that bind AMJA’s American scholars with those abroad. AMJA just had, in Houston, its seventh annual American conference of imams, and two local Michigan imams attended, namely Imam Musa of Bloomfield’s Muslim Unity Center, and Imam Ali of MCWS. Mr. Sadiqul Hassan of AMJA explained that “the event was the 7th annual imam workshop.” Mr. Hassan said that AMJA is “a fiqh council basically,” with “scholars who live abroad and inside the U.S.; we have experts in different fields to educate about life in the U.S. — fatwa are based on life in the U.S.”
AMJA’s recent fatwas regarding dog ownership reiterate two of the canonical hadith I mentioned in a previous blog, before reaching their inevitable conclusions at the end of the “rulings”: dogs are “impure,” and cannot be kept simply as loving pets within a household, even puppies. Fortunately, I found no ruling issued which sanctioned the wanton killing of “mere” pet dogs in North America (as per this canonical hadith: Volume 4, Book 54, Number 540: Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: ‘Allah’s Apostle ordered that the dogs should be killed.’)—yet.
It only remains to mention to you that the Prophet said: “Whoever keeps a dog that is not a dog for hunting, herding, livestock or farming, two qiraats will be deducted from his reward each day.” Thus, keeping dogs in houses for fun and company is not part of Islamic civilization but whoever needs them for protection or guarding a house or a farm or hunting then that is fine while being careful not to let the saliva of dogs touch you. As for the purity of dogs saliva then it is a matter of dispute; the Maliki scholars consider it pure because it was allowed for to us use them to hunt and still we were not commanded to wash the place of the dog’s bite while the majority of scholars view it that it is impure because of the hadeeth of the Prophet : “If the dog licks in your vessel then wash it seven times; one of which should be with soil.” And the view of the majority is the safest. And Allaah, most high, knows best.
Question: Why are Muslims not allowed to have dogs for pets when the Prophet (pbuh) was said to have a puppy? Also, he was said to have patted a dog on the head and made salah (prayed) near a dog. Also, my wife and I have a dog, and we had the dog before we became Muslim. What should we do?
Fatwa: It is not true that the Prophet had a puppy or that it has been recorded that he petted a dog as far as I know. On the contrary, when the Prophet found that his grandson Al-Hasan had brought a puppy into the Prophet’s house, the Prophet refused to enter the house until the puppy had been removed. Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both him and his father) reported: “Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: ‘Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.’” [Reported in Sahih Muslim] Also, the Prophet said: “Whoever keeps a dog as a pet, except for the purpose of guarding cattle or hunting, will lose a qiraat (a huge portion of the reward from his good deeds) daily.” [Reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim] So, my advice to you, brother, is that, if you are keeping this dog to guard the house, you should actually keep it outside the house (in the backyard, for example). Especially as this blog has multiple articles on the Islamic view of dogs, and Iran today in good Islamic fashion is working on having all dogs within its borders destroyed.
