For anyone reading this site, please check out the comments in the Reader’s Links post for January 7th. There is an astonishing amount of solid news on leftist and Islamic attacks on Western Civilization in many ways.

1. This is at the moment, a live presser from ICE on the terrorist attack on some of their officers, and the subsequent shooting of the terrorist. Some of the statistics that the ICE Spokeswoman details are astonishing, but something people need to hear, as the media isn’t telling us.
Calling the deceased a terrorist is certainly more true than how the word is often used by the left. But it it probably also true that the woman who tried to ram the Federal ICE officers was likely so astonishingly brainwashed by leftist media propaganda that blame lies very much also to those who laser painted ICE officers by ginning up as much loathing and hatred using lies and dialectical rhetoric.

She also explicitly states that these people ramming US officers with cars are being actually trained in an organized manner to do this. This is a revolution. This does justify troops on the streets. But its likely President Trump can actually manage this with forces like ICE, the FBI etc.

They are of course a rough equivalent of Southern Poverty Law centre and the Canadian branch, The Anti-Hate network. All of them of course, foment hatred and encourage the most destructive elements within our nations to act without restraint, while making sure anyone who calls them out is punished one way or another.

I have not watched it yet. So no reviews. But if it is like his other exposes of agencies it will be good.

1. The attacker of the home of JD Vance yesterday was of course, a left wing tranny. Got say I wish I had bet money on it when I first saw the photo. In this case a male to female tranny.

The reasons for this behaviour are multifold. Those who do the tranny thing are often doing it for a uniform of commitment to communist ideals. Seriously. Meaning they were that far left to begin with. So, that’s a list level simple explanation.
I know we have posted this video many times before, but its importance fully justifies it. Like quoting 1984, it becomes more and more meaningful as we come to understand experientially just what the hell Orwell was talking about.

A second tier explanation is hormonal. Female to male trannies are given orders of magnitude more testosterone than a natural male produces.

Now I’m no endocrinologist, but it seems to me that the liver isn’t likely to handle an imbalance that high very well, and can ‘aromatize, I think is the word, excess testosterone into massive amounts of estrogen. That cannot end well. Think PMS X 1000. So either way, this little pretend game of people changing sexes or ‘genders’ as they would have you believe, leads to consistently bad results.

2. It seems the riding and former employees and volunteers of the Chi-Com MP that crossed the floor from the slightly communist Conservative Party to the much more Communist Liberal party of Canada are upset and are demanding a by election.

Listening through the Gulag Archipelago again, (this time in a more or less random fashion but not deliberately), one comes to understand a staggering amount about the workings of a communist state. What is interesting to me is how much more I get out of the book now, than the first time through volume 1 and part of volume 2 several years ago. Watching Canada, the UK and Germany collapse into communist states has added a lot of depth to my understanding of that book.

One of the bits I found interesting today was how the Soviet State made up charges for arrests, and how they decided what was criminal post hoc. They in fact, arrested all members of Anarchist movements and many of the Communist party. Frankly that is the only part of the revolution I look forward to. The part where they take care of the useful idiots that put them in power.

In Nazi Germany they had the “The Night of the Long Knives.” Where Hitler ordered his SS and other Nazi security organs to murder the Brown Shirt (Sturmabteilung) whose paramilitary violence had helped bring him to power.

A few examples of the rolling narrative attacks against the population and reframing to stay ahead of the narratives by media: Links 1 for January 5th, 2026

1. One of the persistent examples of Canada memory holing facts and narratives this site refers to, is how the CBC and other broadcast media used Japanese-Canadian fruit fly scientist, David Suzuki to promote the idea that Western industry was producing so much pollution that it would block out the sun, mimicking the results of a major nuclear war and causing a serious ice age. This theory was called, “Nuclear Winter.
Many efforts and forms of effort have been used to find any of the dozens to hundreds of hours of Suzuki warning us all about how this would come about if the West didn’t get its industry under control.

This was a partial truth. Pollution really is a problem. And in fact, the West by and large did actually learn to manage it, and this was a great thing. But that wasn’t the real intention most likely. Suzuki then pivoted to Global Warming from the same causes and somehow, every mention of Nuclear Winter was, as 1984 named it, Memory holed.

So it is with some amusement that Suzuki is the locus of the newest state memory holing. When the state declared war on incandescent bulbs, they demanded that everyone change to something called Compact Fluorescent Bulbs. These gave off a pale blue flickering light that looked exactly like the glow that came out of Venezuelan prisons when one drove by. They were horrible, and filled with Mercury vapour and when they exploded, and they did indeed explode, it cost a home owner $2000.00 to get an environment Canada team in hazmats over to remove them. So most of us just breathed through our noses and removed them ourselves.

LED Bulbs came out roughly around the same time, but there was no push to switch to these, even though they were a nicer light, MUCH cheaper to power in terms of amount of light per Watt, and they don’t explode but they do have one huge problem. They last a really long time. So sales would slow down fast. When people moved, they could take the bulbs with them. They would likely last longer than your stay at your current residence.

Eventually Canada caught up to it and banned Compact fluorescent bulbs as well. But they also appear to have made it very hard to find any images of the billboards or other promo material of Suzuki pushing the CFBs.

Officials said the three?year transition period was designed to give retailers time to clear remaining inventory. Homeowners are being urged to bring used compact fluorescent bulbs to municipal toxic?waste depots rather than throw them in household garbage.

I had to learn about Google Dorks to find anything about Suzuki and CFBs. A regular search told me that any mention of his promotion of them was dangerous disinformation.

From The Province.com citing The Suzuki Foundation:

When shopping for a new appliance, look for the Energy Star logo, says Randi Kruse of the David Suzuki Foundation. It can cut 30-40 per cent of household energy use.

The fridge is the best appliance to replace, because it’s running all the time. Says Kruse: “That will make the biggest difference in energy savings. In the long run, you’ll save money as well as energy.”

The additional cost is recouped usually within a couple of years through energy savings.

“When you’re buying an appliance, the cost of the energy used to run it must be factored in,” says Kruse.

7. Use compact fluorescent lights. CFLs last about eight times as long as incandescent bulbs, use 66 per cent less electricity, and only need to be replaced every five or six years.

According to B.C. Hydro’s Elisha Moreno, they should be placed in spots where the bulb is used a lot, such as a hallway, outdoor light or family room.

Replacing a 100-watt incandescent bulb with a 25-watt CFL saves $30 in electricity over the life of each bulb.

That’s pretty clear. And so is this:

It was in fact known, not hidden, and not obscured that these bulbs contained mercury at the time they were launched at the public. Which may make one ask the question, Did Suzuki just not bother to look, or did he know and took the money and ran with it?
And did he do that with Nuclear Winter as well?

2. Here is a curious event. Mind you it’s the odious BBC so temper anything it says through that lens.

Venezuela fire: Thousands of voting machines burned

The electoral council in Venezuela says a fire in its main warehouse near the capital, Caracas, has destroyed most of the voting machines held there.

Almost 50,000 voting machines and 582 computers used in the country’s elections went up in flames, electoral council chief Tibisay Lucena said.

She did not say if parliamentary elections due later this year could be affected by the loss of the machines.

She also asked prosecutors to investigate the cause of the fire.

What happened?

The fire broke out in the 6,000 sq m (65,000 sq ft) warehouse in Mariche, east of Caracas, on Saturday.

“Burnt in this fire were 582 computers belonging to the civil registry, 49,408 voting machines, 400 electronic ballots,” Ms Lucena said in a news conference on Sunday.

The article doesn’t say what KIND of machines they were, but the linked article references Smartmatic as the type of machines used in previous elections.

We should be clear here, that we are opposed to voting machines. They are in fact black boxes which have closed source code. There is no way to know what happens inside these machines. And even if they are 100% accurate, the fact that only a very tiny technically elite fraction of the population understand them undermines the results of any election. An election not only must be fair and accurate, it must be seen to be fair and accurate. Having the one without the other is undermining the process.

Having human scrutineers to watch the process, and a process of picking them that allows any of us to volunteer, or even be paid for that function is the only way to get a sense that maybe this thing went as sold. The BBC is selling the burning of these machines as anti-democratic forces trying to make sure an election can’t happen. Which seems kinda nuts since elections have happened for thousands of years prior to any kind of machine at all. But skeptics and many others will at least internally be wondering if these machines were burned by the vestigial components of the Chavez-Maduro tyranny to hide evidence of machine tampering to rig the vote for themselves.

3. Speaking of Venezuela, there were large protests against the arrest of Maduro. I would bet by many of the same people that did the “No Kings” protest against Donald Trump.

On Saturday morning, a terrorist attack targeted a power transmission line in the German capital, leaving tens of thousands of residents without electricity, and in some areas without heating, during a severe cold spell, Tagesspiegel reports.

Responsibility for the attack was claimed by a German radical Antifa group calling itself “Vulkan.”

In a manifesto published by the group, the radicals described the arson as an “act of self-defense” and a protest against fossil fuels and the expansion of artificial intelligence.

The extremists set fire to a cable bridge crossing the Teltow Canal from the Lichterfelde power plant. Incendiary devices were placed beneath the cables, creating a prolonged, high-temperature blaze. The burned wires were then deliberately short-circuited using metal rods to intensify the damage.

As a result of the attack, five high-voltage and ten medium-voltage cables were damaged. Initially, around 45,000 households in southwestern districts of Berlin were left without power.

The timing made the impact especially severe: during freezing temperatures, residents were left not only without electricity but also without heating. Mobile communications and emergency services were also disrupted in the affected areas.

Restoration efforts are being delayed due to technical challenges. The damaged infrastructure involves different types of cables that must be reconnected under specialized conditions by highly qualified technicians.

Such repairs normally take up to five weeks, but emergency crews are now working around the clock in an effort to restore power within five days.

The Aston Villa soccer club announced last month that no Maccabi fans would be allowed at the game following a police assessment that classified the fixture as “high risk,” citing “violent clashes and hate crime offenses” during a Europa League match in Amsterdam between Maccabi and local team Ajax last November.

According to the Sunday Times, the decision over the Birmingham game was made as a result of a confidential report in which British police claimed that Israeli fans threw “innocent members of the public into the river,” that 500-600 “intentionally targeted Muslim communities” and that the violence forced the deployment of 5,000 police officers.

The Atlantic has struck us as a kind of massaging propaganda rag for people who think they are smart. It is easy to get sucked in to their style. But they were heavily used during the Obama regime to soft sell even the most outrageous ideas. Like for instance that Al Qaeda were America’s allies against the Islamic State. Really.

Venezuela

Now and again, President Trump does something so magnificent, one wants to drop on one’s knees and give thanks unto God.

I have some personal experience in Venezuela from before Chavez took power. It was called The Jewel of South America then. It had social medicine. Was it world class? No. But it wasn’t 3rd world either. Medicine was cheap and mostly available without a prescription, for good or for bad. Not narcotics, but antibiotics and many many other medicines, . All very affordable. Granted there is economy of scale. What was cheap for a Canadian can still be felt by a local.

There was a lot of freedom in Vz. Freedom of speech, and profound love and appreciation for the arts, Even subversive arts as well as classical and pop. They had a music culture., They had a food culture.

They were also as honest as the day was long.

There was a rational system of distribution of wealth. This doesn’t mean there were not areas of crushing poverty. In hot countries, living in ways unfathomable to Canadians is possible, so it happens. But each individual could still choose to carve a path for themselves, even if their circumstances were not equitable. Because all the people of the world can never be equitable. Just equal for opportunity to the best of your own ability in the ideal.

It was not a paradise for all, but once Chavez took over, it was a hell for all. Just like Communist countries always are.

The streets were also relatively safe, and many cities and areas were beautiful. Most notably in my experience, Merida up in the Andes on the Columbian border.

Within months of the election of Hugo Chavez, people were eating their pets. Their neighbour’s pets, and the zoos were emptied to make food from the exhibits.

People had to weigh money on scales to buy things at grocery stores thanks to the communist tactic of creating hyper inflation.

Here is an interview I did with a Venezuelan member of a farming family back in 2016, who had escaped to Canada. We did the interview in Ottawa. Personally from news reports I saw, I tend to think he understated the issues. Either way, its not a bad snapshot of how the communists destroyed the entire food chain from farm to table through the usual communist methodology, Taker the farms away from the people who actually know how to farm and want to dio it, give the farms to uneducated party apparatchiks who then grow a year’s worth of Marijuana, then abandon the farm after selling off all the valuable equipment. If I am not mistaken, this is also exactly what happened in Rhodesia when it became Communist Zimbabwe. From breadbasket of Africa to desolate famine hellhole. This is often mistaken for corruption.

I say mistaken because as I am listening through the audiobook of the Gulag Archipelago again, we see the pattern so clearly, and codified in laws and procedures, that its clearly not corruption but part of the process of destruction of the entire system of individualism, free market existence, and of reason itself. Anyone wishing to give it a try, this appears to be a link on YouTube to the entire book in 7 parts.

And like Orwell’s 1984, it is one of those books you keep wanting to stop and make notes. Especially when you come to the parts where they are talking about specific tactics and legislation that mirror what is taking place in Canada right now, and for the purpose of the total disenfranchisement of the peasants, vassals, nobles and all the medieval categories that communists recreate under the rubrics of Party Elites, The People, Kulaks, Party members and so on. The fake destruction of classes by creating the same old system of classes.

But up to now, we have only scratched the surface of how the removal of Maduro and the implementation of a new regime in Venezuela is an act of unequaled compassion to the people of Venezuela. I have often thought that a single soldier doing his duty at the right time and place can save more lives than a thousand doctors doing overtime for years on end. And this is one of those cases. The lives saved and suffering reduced of the people of Venezuela by this military action of the USA under Donald Trump is hard to quantify, but it is of a global scale.

But then there is the military component and the Casus Belli for the Untied States.

Another famous book, The Art of War, written by Sun Tsu in the 5th century BC, details how if one wishes to win a war, it is best to not let the enemy know you are at war with them.

Americans have created the largest military in the history of the world. No country can, using conventional means, defeat the USA militarily But this doesn’t mean the US doesn’t have enemies, or that they aren’t attacking the United States. Instead, they have to resort to tactics that the US people would not recognize as military in nature, and so would not accept their government using a military response.

Communist and Islamic subversion are clear as day examples of warfare that is not something that would make a best selling Hollywood film. .

The fact that New York elected a communist and Islamic mayor who declared January Islamic something something month and lit up all the buildings in green INCLUDING THE WORLD TRADE CENTRE is stunning proof that in the city in which the 911 attacks killed thousands in an act of Islamic terror, they could then achieve total political control tells you exactly how that works.

 

But so is importing and distributing a drug that from March 2023 to March 2024, killed 77,648 people. The Vietnam war lasted 20 years and had 58,220 American deaths. Murdering vast sums of people and demoralizing countless more are acts of war.

But in this case, unlike conventional war, the Venezuelan communist state actually profited by it instead of having to fund it. A new level of cynicism.

Venezuela was clearly at war with the United States. It was acting as an ally of Iran, which was also at war with the United States. And if his allies don’t kill him before his trial or if he doesn’t get placed in Jeffery Epstein’s cell, we may well find out who Maduro’s other allies are in its war with the United States. I doubt I would be surprised to find it was the Clintons and the Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) if not the Democrat party itself.

To be clear, The USA had a Casus Belli for this action that is without question legitimate. And even if not legitimate, necessary.

As a response to war by Venezuela.

As a means to free its people from the suffering caused by communism.

As a means to gather and publish intel on the other enemies of the USA and keep its own people safe, as well as prevent the total collapse of the Republic which appeared to be imminent during the Biden years and as the election of Mandami in New York shows us, is still not a distant possibility.

Understanding that war is attempting to destroy your enemy in order to impose your own authority, or merely just to destroy your enemy needs to be more widely understood. The taxonomy of war as something limited to kinetics is a huge part of the reason all Western nations are on the precipice of tyranny and destruction. And some, like the UK, have gone over the edge with barely a shot fired. A few stabbings, a couple of busses blown up and the rest was done with dialectics and subversion. Subversion itself of course, being a form of dialectics.

Watch this presser very carefully. Each word was very deliberate. And there are messages there to future actions. It is also cleanly stated that they captured and renditioned/extradited Maduro for trial in the USA.

Venezuelans, as one would hope, are celebrating in the streets. This should give you gooseflesh.

This reveals a lot. While actual Venezuelans who had to suffer under Maduro and Chavez’s communism are celebrating all day in the streets, Communists in the USA are demanding his release on Times Square

There is a comment in the Reader’s Links about Chat GPT refusing to create an image of a homo-Mohammad after merrily making images of a gay Jesus. GPT was at least honest enough to say it had the double standard, and have a banal reason, albeit a concerning one, as to why.

As a lark I decided to see if X’s Grok has the same constraints:

I guess that’s kinda close enough. After all, Muslims generally pick what gets their knickers in a twist. And it’s generally what results in them having more control over what the rest of the world can say or do. It doesn’t much matter if it’s a Homo-Mohammad or just a regular one. They will kill random people to force the world to submit to whatever their demands are at that moment anyway.

So I have to give the point to Grok here. If you wanted at least some Muslims in a murderous rage, you would just have to label the photo whatever the Arabic is for “prophet” Mohammad.

Short segment of The Gulag Archipelago: The nature of crime in a communist polity

Solzhenitsyn’s book is maybe one of the most important documents in political history.

People tend to write about the unusual, and ignore the normal, no matter how recently the bizarre became normalized.

As a result, we don’t have as many records of things from the past that reflect the day to day reality.

Just for an example, as a bird photographer among a group of bird photographers, we really don’t have many, if any, pictures of pigeons, starlings, crows or the myriad of little brown birds all over the place, but tend to focus on the rare, bizarre, magnificent or beautiful ones that take effort to find and get a decent photo of.

The Gulag Archipelago is the day to day machinations of a communist society. It is an amazingly powerful read if you are looking for the signs of growing totalitarianism in order to properly estimate your personal, or collective cost-benefit to fighting back against a state, increasingly divorcing itself from the interests of the people in general. More accurately, a power structure that increasingly oppresses the public, rather than solves problems or is an administrator of basis systems for them.

Like reading 1984 today, these books suddenly make sense as our personal experience begins to overlap with the frame of reference of the authors of the books. And no, this isn’t a good thing in terms of what is happening to us. Not having to read a map is good. But having one when you are lost is also good. And that is what these books are.

In this segment, there is a string of descriptions of arbitrary arrests and the reasons given for them. It is a very small sample of the ones in Alexander’s book, which is a very very small sample of the ones that actually took place. But I chose to truncate this file because the last one seems eerily like a string of recent arrests in the UK.

I’ll leave it up to the reader to decide what relationship, if any, these two cases have with each other. Not to mention the other 30 odd arrests every day in the UK for thought crimes. Many of which are posted here, and many more are on X.
