Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.
This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.
So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

A common critical refrain over the years of Americans by Canadians has been how uninformed and narrow minded they are. They don’t know what is going on in the next state let alone the next country, goes the sentiment. While this may be true to an extent, as it is in all countries, little compares to the small mindedness of so many Canadians cradled in their gauzy little lives, save the mentacided minions of the likes who plant “Save The CBC” signs on their front lawns.
But what about these broad-minded automatons, and their self-proclaimed understanding of “global” affairs and superior understanding?
Here, a window into the incredible capture of the Canadian provincial mindset as it is nurtured by the Canadian Broadcast Corporation. Constantly forming pro-regime narratives, it does all it can to keep captured and trembling a population weened on the cradle-to-grave nanny state which, incidentally, will fail in our quickly-evolving world:

Five more tankers on the run from Venezuela. Catch me if you can, they say. Clearly a combination of provocation and market reality setting in. Hydrocarbon economics close on the heels of the precious metals analog, which is to say Keynes died twice, the second time right now.

Update:
Greenland more urgent than a U.S. muse, the renegade tanker was empty (decoy?), North Atlantic becoming a battle front? PT’s military budget wishlist portends big things to come. As an aside, it seems possible the NeoCon warmongering program is intersecting with the legitimate agenda of Making the Americas Great Again. Please comment, Richard. Another Military Summary:

Johnny you have found a real hot issue something big is starting, I don’t know when but it should happen soon. I will be that your post about the Canadian Banks and money laundering for the Drug Lords is connected in some fashion but I don’t know when or what is going to happen.
As the drug issue is becoming a real hot issue the moves against the army of thugs that our enemies sent into the US (with the help of a lot of Traitors in the US Government) is getting ready to explode. I had been thinking that Cuba was the next place on PTs external to do list but now it is looking like Greenland and possibly Canada are ahead of Cuba. The attempted murder of an ICE agent by the now deceased driver of that SUV is what the Dems have been pushing for. They now have their martyr that they can riot and burn over, during the coming chaos the invading thugs and others will carry out terror attacks.
The internal problems are a war the left can’t win while the external problems are a war that Russia can’t win but which will cost the US a lot of money and people. This will make it even more important for the US to acquire control of the Canadian and Venezuelan mineral resources. Greenland is also rich in minerals that we and others will need as well as being a vital Arctic choke point.
As to the tanker being empty, this isn’t the first report I have heard of gold and jewels being the cargo, it sounds like some people in Venezuela are trying to get their nest eggs out of reach of the US.
I wish I were 40 or 50 years younger, the US needs all of the vets young and capable of serving once again.
Hint: Venezuelan oil is junk.
It’s heavy sludge that costs a fortune to mine, utility is limited.
Infrastructure that made it ok has deteriorated.
With the price of oil today, it’s not worth the investment required.
PT’s blather about “billions of barrels” and American companies diving in head-first with investments is a cover story.
Something else is going on.
Very true, I think the real reasons for the action is that PT is trying to 1) kick the CCP our of the Western Hemisphere. 2) trying to create the conditions where CUBA will collapse. 3) setting the table for the US to gain control of Greenland. 4) gain control of the other mineral resources in Venezuela. 5) cause the Democrat heads to explode. 6) create more reasons for the US military to be expanded to the point WWIII won’t be a real big problem for us.
It could be any or all of the above.
I like that analysis.
I would like it more if the US included Canada in its plans.
I am pretty sure there is some plan for Canada but no one is talking about it, one of the things I like and hate about the current administration is the lack of leakers. I hate not having the info but love the fact our enemies are just as mystified as I am.
Now that the pain pill for my back is working I have a couple of things to say. Turdhead was/is right, if China or Russia moves in up north we will come in to save you since that is the only way we can save ourselves. Once that is done 1) how are you going to get rid of us, a lot of people are tired of NATO freeloading and will think the same about Canada. 2) how many Canadians will want us to pull out? Just asking from stream of consciousness thinking.
Nah. People inside the Beltway are more concerned about the renaming of the Kennedy Center. He’s like one of those card sharks, attracting attention to his nervous, exposed right hand, while the left slides the boxes around before anyone notices.
He is doing more then concealing things from the Dems, he is sending messages and building the US military up for the war that he sees coming in the next few years.
Glad you mentioned that.
I believe Iranian Oil and Canada’s also have special refinement requirements as well.
And I do believe I had heard that about Vz oil before.

A few thoughts on the alleged new world order
From the Israeli and Jewish point of view, the emergence of this state of affairs isn’t so bad.
The U.S. action in Venezuela over the weekend has led to a flurry of punditry asserting that the Trump administration is bringing into being a new world order based on the open assertion of raw, great-power state interest, and the emergence of spheres of influence and hegemony. I do think a world of that nature is emerging. But I don’t think Trump is the instigator of it. Rather, he is a product of its emergence.
The world is replacing one that has pertained since 1990. It was a place where America enjoyed more or less unrivaled dominance, while its European allies complacently took that for granted. Powers outside of this sphere schemed and planned, but could do little to challenge U.S. primacy.
That world brought with it a by-product of a transnational elite of people who relied on U.S. strength to underpin their world. But they pursued a politics of unreality, based on the notion of the replacement of power and interest by a new world of “international law,” universal human rights, a universal commonality of interests (making feasible the notion of mass immigration from vastly different cultures) and a taboo on the use of military force.
This politics of unreality, which relied on U.S. hard power but in an infantile way denied this, brought into being a vast cultural penumbra that has dominated the public and political discussion in the West over the last two or three decades.
Yet in the last 15 years, the United States has shown it has no interest in continuing to endlessly underwrite the illusions of this elite. Rather, facing the emergence of peer and near-peer competitors—against whom it must organize to defend its own realm—it is producing a nationalist reaction, at once narrower in scope but often of necessity, and more assertive in action than the previous, hegemonic, imperial-style order.…

Very good, especially this line, (I don’t think Trump is the instigator of it. Rather, he is a product of its emergence.) a lot of people can see the chaos that is being created by the lefts ideas of how the would works. Trump is a product of the problem being smart enough to see the future, rich enough to be able to do something and a true patriot who wants to US to survive and survive as a nation that is true to the dreams of the Founding Fathers. I don’t always agree with his decisions but I do know that he has a lot more information available then I do and I am willing to trust that he is using that information to make the decisions I don’t like.
I’m wary of this Alex Krainer guy, but he makes sense here. The Venezuela op has a Canada connection. Drug money laundered through Canadian banks enabled by the Canadian government:

It would be fun to see a Canadian bank get de-banked.
I believe the TD bank in the US faced some consequences recently due to their criminal activity, didn’t they?
Who can explain why I hate everything that relates to AI with the same intensity as I hated sci-fi when I was in school?
I can’t understand why you hate SciFi but to each their own, but you probably don’t like the idea of AI because you see a lot of danger in a rogue AI. To the best of my knowledge we don’t really have AI just some smart computer programs that seem to be AI.

Minnesota Democrats’ Dangerous Neo-Confederate Rhetoric
Tyler O’Neil | January 07, 2026
Americans tend to forget that the Civil War didn’t start overnight. The Confederate South’s desire to nullify federal law sparked multiple crises before Abraham Lincoln’s election, and we’re seeing a similar movement crystalize among Democrats today.
The neo-Confederate opposition to immigration law seemed to reach a fever pitch Wednesday, when Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz threatened to deploy his state’s National Guard troops against federal agents—a direct military confrontation against the federal government.
When a reporter asked about the prospect of National Guard troops facing off against federal agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Walz gave a chilling response: “We’ve never been at war with our federal government.”

Massive insult to the Confederate States.
You are right, it is an insult to the Confederacy but the article is also right the left is sounding a lot like them in their speeches on how bad the current administration is.
President Lincoln didn’t explore doing what England had successfully done: compensate slaveholders to free slaves. At least President Trump has compensated border-jumpers if they leave behind their lives here. Everyone, though, realizes that compensation can only go so far when the opportunities at home are less than the ones here. Imagine how much emmigration there would be if countries like Venezuela and Mexico offered jobs and safety.
By the time Lincoln was sworn in it was too late for anything besides war, the South wanted war so they could decide what laws they were going to obey. Just as the current crop Dems want to decide which laws they get to ignore while forcing the rest of us to obey all of them.
As you know, I have been saying for years here that the U.S. must do something about Canada. I don’t know how deep the rot goes, but even our version of the CIA (CSIS) says there are many Canadian politicians on the CCP payroll. In fact it must be pretty bad because the politicians, starting with the current and last PMs, don’t want anything out in public.

Crunch time is rapidly approaching, your desire will probably come true but it will probably be latter and more violent then any of us want. The first US Civil War didn’t start overnight, if you watch closely you will see the left doing everything they can to get people killed so they can use that as an excuse to first riot and then secede from the Union. The problem they have is that there is a sizable portion of all states that don’t want to leave the Union and they will resist, among this group are most of the members of the National Guard, Walz is threatening to call out the Guard to stop ICE but he is doing this shortly after Democrat politicians call on members of the military to resist illegal orders. I think attacking or arresting ICE members ranks as an illegal order.
A Space-Based Solution to China’s Cable-Cutting Threat
The free world should consider the space-based redundancy that the Outernet offers — one that surpasses all ground-based internet backups.
In March last year, China unveiled a cable-cutting device capable of operating 4,000 meters underwater. This underscores a significant vulnerability that few consider: 99% of international data travels through about 600 subsea fiber optic cables, totaling nearly 1.48 million kilometers of cable susceptible to attack.
With China and Russia adopting strategies for multi-front warfare, the threat to infrastructure and communication cannot be ignored. Attacks will occur unexpectedly and are likely to involve hacking or be carried out through drones, robotic submarines, and similar methods. There is an urgent need for a resilient alternative network that will support — and during crises, replace — existing telecom systems.
Therefore, the world must seriously consider initiatives like the Outernet project, which plans to establish a network of 600 interconnected low-earth orbit satellites that could sustain global communication even if the cable network is damaged. Led by Munich-based Rivada Space Networks, the project aims to create “a second internet backbone in space.”
