More NORK propaganda.

The North Koreans are working three shifts making threat videos, presumably to leverage fear against a hand out of food for them. This may be a prelude to a real war, but the white house claims there is actually no real mobilization of troops or deployment of new weapons or anything so it looks like an in-house strength-play to show the people the new fat-kid is really in charge. At least according to Obama.

In any case I find this video more entertaining as well as more accurate if you open this video in another tab and listen to this sound track while you watch the video below.

North Korea has also started a “Patriotic Rice” drive, asking the slave labour starving people of NORK to take what little food the state did give them, and give it back to the state.

For a people who hate America so much they sure do like basketball. Here is a game between the starving men of South by south east north Korea and West by nor-west North Korea in a struggle that will probably mean one team gets to eat the other starve, the MVP gets given a decent looking wife to abuse and the no score guy gets a public execution.

Don’t believe me? Watch the documentary Camp 14 Total Control Zone on Netflix.

Youtube video above appears to have been removed. It is now below. 🙂

In the one below, I can’t help but think it would make a better soup advert than a scary military video. Maybe it’s cause I can’t read the signs. But the font and style reminds me a lot of some pretty excellent soup packages made on the other side of the Korean peninsula.

In the video below, the commander shows how they are making ready to deal with an American bomber from 1942

The song below reminds me quite a bit of Stalin era Soviet material.

North Korea stages massive rally for the usual jingoistic reasons

I would like to make fun of this one as I did the previous few where it seems as if the North Koreans in ‘man on the street’ interviews were competing with religious Muslims for the worlds-worst poetry. But this one seems to have a sort of dark, Lord of the Rings Orcishness to it which seems more like it heralds a great deal of dead people rather than brainwashed zombies forced to say bad things about everywhere else in the world.

Which I think to them is limited to South Korea and the USA. Which I suspect they think is directly attached to South Korea.

Guardian story on this display here.

I still can’t help but wonder if this is part of a joint plan with Iran to divide US resources and a new 2 front war.

Seriously, is this a joke?

The thing about North Korea and Islam is that so much of it is so over the top you often can’t tell if it’s a joke or not.

Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) — The scheme of the U.S. and south Korean military to make precision missile strikes at the statues of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il has lashed into fury the young people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, including the officials of the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League.-0-

North Korea puts rockets on standby to attack US bases

One has to wonder if NORK isn’t planning to create an expensive front to create opportunity for Iran.

Telegraph:

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un last night ordered the country’s rocket units to be on standby to attack US military targets in response to Washington’s announcement that it had flown B2 stealth bomber “deterrence” missions over South Korea.

The North’s official KCNA news agency, the mouthpiece of the Stalinist regime, said Kim signed off on the orders at a midnight meeting of top generals and “judged the time has come to settle accounts with the US imperialists in view of the prevailing situation.”

“He finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets of the KPA, ordering them to be standby for fire so that they may strike any time the US mainland, its military bases in the operational theaters in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea.”

The escalation came hours after Pyongyang claimed that the nation was “burning with hatred” for the US after its show of force in the region.

At last! A job for which North Koreans are uniquely suited!

In private conversations about the Korean peninsula I often ask people what should be done if a new war or condition were to bring about the situation where millions of severely malnourished brainwashed people who are over an inch shorter than their South Korean counterparts from mere lack of food, suddenly found themselves dependent on the South Korean state.

It would be like German reunification X 1000. I doubt the South Koreans have the resources or the will to deal with that.

Now, thanks to a new job category in the UK there may be a place where North Koreans are uniquely qualified. In fact, the only people properly conditioned and motivated for this exact purpose.

North Korea Threatens Rocket Strike On US Mainland, Guam And Hawaii, Reports State News Agency

North Korea Threats White House

North Korea has threatened a rocket strike on Guam, Hawaii and the US mainland, its state news agency has reported.

The country has put their military on combat ‘ready’ status, according to the Korean Central News Agency, KCNA, who stated: “The Korea People’s Army top command declares that all artillery troops including strategic rocket units and long-range artillery units are to be placed under class-A combat readiness.”

Guam is an American island off the Philippines where the US keep a number of military bases.

Highly dramatic NORK propaganda video.

Very foreign language but you can tell by the extreme exaggeration in the voice that it is meant to ‘flighten a dlamaticri’

The scene where the white house is on fire at 2:50 is like a story-board sketch from Independence Day or perhaps a Watts Riot fantasy. In any case North Korea appears to be stepping up its plans to blackmail the west into feeding its population and supplying energy as usual. Or possibly actually planning to launch missiles against South Korea and the US. In either case, the Hawaiians better prepare themselves. North Korean missile tech is not that accurate. Canada too for that matter.

SEOUL | Wed Mar 20, 2013 7:12am EDT

(Reuters) – South Korean authorities were investigating a hacking attack that brought down the servers of three broadcasters and two major banks on Wednesday, and the army raised its alert level due to concerns of North Korean involvement.

Servers at television networks YTN, MBC and KBS were affected as well as Shinhan Bank and NongHyup Bank, two major banks, the police and government officials said. At least some of the computers affected by the attacks had some files deleted, according to the authorities.

History shows North Korean pattern: wait, then attack

NDTV

Seoul: Recent Korean history reveals a sobering possibility: It may only be a matter of time before North Korea launches a sudden, deadly attack on the South. And perhaps more unsettling, Seoul has vowed that this time, it will respond with an even stronger blow.

Humiliated by past attacks, South Korea has promised – as recently as Tuesday – to hit back hard at the next assault from the North, opening up the prospect that a skirmish could turn into a wider war.

Lost in the headline-making North Korean bluster about nuclear strikes on Washington in response to U.N. sanctions is a single sentence in a North Korean army Supreme Command statement of March 5. It said North Korea “will make a strike of justice at any target anytime as it pleases without limit.”

North Korea enters capitalist world of comedy television

I have to say, North Korea does things well when it decides to. It appears that the new well-fed dictator of North Korea has decided to compete with Saturday Night Live, the Carol Burnett show, Second City and other great sketch comedy programs with its first episode of what must be its first comedy release which I predict will be a big hit across the Korean peninsula and around the Yellow Sea.

Well done North Korea! I can’t wait to see next week’s episode. Here is hoping my ribs stop aching in time to bruise them again laughing at the next installment.

The North Korean style of documentary making seems to be showing a colonoscopy of a super-model and claiming she looks like snake full of intestinal fluid. Makes one wonder if they did a video workshop with Michael Moore.

Meanwhile, here is a rather more factual documentary about the DPRK I hope you al enjoy as much as I did.
