4 suspects charged with armed robberies at Thistletown Collegiate

Ten males have been arrested and charged with taking part in an armed robbery spree across west-end Toronto, Peel and York Region over the past two months.

One of the suspects is 42 years old. The others are teens ranging in age from 15 to 19.

All of them face armed robbery charges. Four are suspected ot taking part in an attempted armed robbery inside a Toronto high school last Thursday.

Organized crime expert Michael C. Chettleburgh says that in the past few years there’s been a growing trend of collaborative relationships between experienced and inexperienced criminals. He says that may help to explain why one of the suspects is in his 40s and the others are under 20

Stefan Kendall, 42, of Toronto; Abdikarim Abdi, 18, of Toronto; Abdikarim Nur, 19, of Toronto; Yonis Hashi, 19, of Brampton; Mohamed Ali-Mudei, 18, of Toronto; Djama Riyaleh, 18, of Toronto; Khalid Hassan, 19, of Toronto; and three young offenders have been charged with a number of offences linked to the armed robberies.

Hamas Threatens US with War

The Palestinian jihadist terrorist organization Hamas has threatened to declare war on the US should President Barack Obama visits the Temple Mount during his trip to Israel:

Hamas is warning that if President Obama visits the Temple Mount it would be a “declaration of war” against the Islamic world.

Israel National News reports the terror group made the threat during a protest march at the religious site following riots on Friday.

Mushir al-Masri, a Hamas spokesman, called for a third intifada if Obama visits the contested religious site in Jerusalem’s Old City between Israelis and Muslims.

There are a few aspects of this threat worth noting:

  1. Obama wasn’t ever going to visit the Temple Mount anyway, so this is HAMAS trying to get a propaganda victory in the Islamic world by claiming that their warning kept him away. It’s not often that a US president gets used in such a way.

Book on Islam condoning hitting wives features letter from Ontario labour minister

TORONTO – A letter of support from Ontario’s labour minister appears in the latest edition of a book on Islam which condones men physically punishing their wives.

The letter from Yasir Naqvi appears in the reviews section of Islam: Balancing Life and Beyond. The book says it is within the tenants of Islam to “lightly” strike your spouse if she exhibits “serious moral misconduct.”

Naqvi congratulates the author, Suhail Kapoor, on the release of the new edition.

“I admire your drive to reach out to the public and promote values of tolerance, understanding and respect,” Naqvi said in the letter.

Kapoor told the Toronto Sun he wrote Naqvi asking for a review of his book. When he received a response to his request more than two years ago, he asked permission to reprint it and says it was granted by the Ottawa-Centre MPP’s office.

But the Liberal MPP said Monday he hasn’t read the book and didn’t authorize use of his response.

Naqvi said he has never read Kapoor’s work and has brought forward several private member’s bills to help victims of domestic violence.

A suspected Islamist from Portland, Ore., was nabbed by law enforcement officers on Tuesday and charged with giving advice and financial assistance to one of three Islamic terrorists who perpetrated a 2009 suicide bombing in Lahore, Pakistan, that killed 35 people and injured more than 300 others,according to the FBI.

Pakistani officials stated at the time that 13 of the dead were policemen and seven were intelligence officials.

Malmö prosecutor: Attack on Jewish center no hate crime

Authorities in the Swedish city of Malmö have dropped an investigation into the vandalism of a Jewish center, saying it was probably a “derailed prank” rather than a hate crime.

Unknown vandals threw rocks and a firecracker at the Jewish community building last September, breaking a window in the entrance door. No one was injured, but the incident raised concerns about an anti-Semitic motive in a city where some Jews say they have been harassed by Muslim immigrants.

Police said the perpetrators could not be identified, but Prosecutor Hans Harding on Wednesday said the investigation pointed to “a derailed prank by a group of friends seeking attention.”

4 year old Quebec CBC documentary on immigration fraud in Canada

This is a rather well done and revealing documentary that was done on Quebec’s publicly funded, ‘Radio Canada’ TV station on Middle Eastern Passport Fraud. It was, to the best of my knowledge, never broadcast in English although it is of critical importance to English Canada.

I had it sitting on an old hard drive and it is one of the first projects I ever subtitled so its a bit rough. There is way too much text in every frame for one thing. But it is watchable.

Recent interest in the subject by various parties has tempted me to upload it to MRC and to post it here. Please let me know if anyone has any trouble seeing it as I have been experiencing very low view counts on MRC videos recently leading me to suspect that many cannot access their content. This is roughly from 2009

An organization known as Jamaat ul-Fuqra (“Community of the Impoverished”) was founded about 1980 by a known terrorist, the Pakistani Sufi Sheikh Syed Mubarak Ali Hasmi Shah Gilani. Over several decades JuF has established a network of dozens of rural training compounds across the United States and Canada.

I have written extensively on Jamaat ul-Fuqra in the past. For more on this group and its activities, see the Jamaat ul-Fuqra Archives. The first post in the series describes my initial visit to Red House in October 2005 — which seems like a million years ago now — and contains a lot of background material on Sheikh Gilani and Jamaat ul-Fuqra.

The group was incorporated in 1985 as “Muslims of the Americas” (MOA), and is also known as “The Muslims of America”, as you can see from the photo of the sign at the top of this post, which stands at the entrance to the MOA compound in Red House.

2 posters in window of Ottawa bakery. For all I know, these might be genuinely benign groups that want to spread a peaceful message of happy coexistence. The kind the world would pretty much already have if it wasn’t for Islam. I suspect that the answer will appear in the posts and knowledgeable people and those research minded ones post what they know about these groups. Till then, I remain optimistic that these particular ISlamic groups run contrary to Islamic scripture.

OH doctor posts $1M bond in pregnant woman’s death

DELAWARE, Ohio (AP) – An Ohio doctor charged with raping and killing a pregnant woman who responded to an online job ad has been released from jail after posting a $1 million bond.

Dr. Ali Salim also had to surrender his passport upon his release Monday and will be on house arrest and must wear a GPS monitoring device until his trial scheduled for early May.

Prosecutors had asked for a $5 million bond, saying Salim, from Pakistan, was a flight risk.

A recent spate of killings in the United States of non-Muslims by Muslims has gone unnoticed by the major media. Here are four cases I know of:

Feb. 5: Yusuf Ibrahim, 27, Egyptian born and living in Jersey City, stands accused of shooting, then cutting off the heads and hands of two Copts, Hanny F. Tawadros and Amgad A. Konds, and burying them in Buena Vista Township, New Jersey. He is charged with two counts of murder and with desecrating human remains. He is also wanted for a Sep. 20, 2012, armed robbery in Jersey City in which a victim was shot in the foot.

An Ohio man has been charged with raping and killing 23-year-old woman. Dr. Ali Salim is charged with murdering Deanna Ballman after she responded to a Craigslist ad. The Doctor allegedly injected the expecting mother with a lethal dose of heroin killing her and her unborn baby and later doing ‘inhumane’ things to her corpse.
