Let me add the following by way of prelude:

It is increasingly hard to know what is real and what is Russian or for that matter, WEF/Western disinformation. (At this point, I prefer the term, “lies”.) The clip of the order to castrate Russian soldiers Tucker plays, came to our attention yesterday, but wasn’t posted because we couldn’t vet it, and its implications are large. Tucker explains that it is real, the man who gave the order, a Ukrainian General, admitted it and apologized for issuing an order which is a war crime. But at least we can know its legit.

There are other indicators that NATO countries are ramping up for armed conflict. And rumours that Russia has plans for Soviet manifest destiny. Well actually, according to Jeff Nyquist, that is actually what Putin said out loud. So if we take him at his word, we have a problem.

As I rewatch the Tucker clip, I’m reminded of something Christopher Hitchens said when he was taking flak for supporting the second war on Saddam Hussain’s Iraq. Quoting from memory:

“It’s unfortunate that the government feels its easier to frighten people than convince them”.

Is that what is going on now?

2. Hungary: Hungarian Gripens alerted again, unidentified aircraft appear in eastern part of country

Gripen [Fighter aircraft] of the Hungarian Armed Forces have been alerted to an aircraft arriving from Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense (HM) told MTI on Monday night.

According to the ministry, in the afternoon the NATO Joint Air Operations Center ordered the take-off of Hungarian fighter jets because an unidentified aircraft appeared on the radar in the eastern part of the country and headed for Slovakia. The Gripens checked the indicated airspace, carried out a patrol task there, and after being convinced of the safety of the airspace, they returned to the base in Kecskemét, the HM wrote.

This was the third alarm of the Hungarian Army’s Gripen since Saturday.

On Saturday, at night, fighter planes had to take off over a civilian Airbus A321 plane from Georgia to Poland because a plane flying in Romanian airspace signaled a bomb threat to civilian air traffic control. The passenger was escorted by the aircraft of the Romanian Air Force to the Romanian-Hungarian border, where the task was taken over by the fighters of the Hungarian Armed Forces on the alert of the NATO Joint Joint Air Operations Center. The A321 aircraft was escorted out of Hungarian airspace, and the Slovak Air Force took over. The Gripens then remained in the air for a short time and then returned to the base in Kecskemét.

At dawn on Monday, Hungarian fighter jets took off again due to a bomb threat. A Turkish-branded civilian plane from Moscow to Istanbul signaled a bomb threat over Polish airspace. Upon arrival in Hungarian airspace, the plane with Turkish insignia was identified by fighter jets and then escorted to the Hungarian-Romanian border, where it left Hungarian airspace. The Gripens remained in the area after the plane left Hungarian airspace and performed a patrol task, after which they returned to the base in Kecskemét – the HM said in the morning.

In a live broadcast, Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand announced to Canadians that the Trudeau government has depleted its stocks of weapons in its rush to assist Ukraine.

“We have exhausted inventory from the Canadian Armed Forces,” Anand said nervously. “There are capacity issues,” she added.

The shocking confession illustrates how much lethal aid Canada has sent to Ukraine and also how dangerously underfunded it was in the first place.

5. Russia Uses Hypersonic Ballistic Missiles In Ukraine For First Time

Russia said on Saturday that it has used hypersonic missiles to destroy Ukrainian military assets in what marks the first time Moscow has acknowledged using this type of weapon in combat.

The Russian defense ministry said in a March 19 operational update that on Friday it destroyed a large underground storage facility for missiles and aviation ammunition in Ukraine’s Ivano-Frankovsk region, using missiles that can travel at over five times the speed of sound.

Igor Konashenkov, the ministry spokesperson, said that the Kinzhal aviation missile system with hypersonic ballistic missiles was used in the strike.

3. Ukraine conflict: Putin lays out his demands in Turkish phone call

On Thursday afternoon, President Vladimir Putin rang the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and told him what Russia’s precise demands were for a peace deal with Ukraine.

Within half an hour of the ending of the phone call, I interviewed Mr Erdogan’s leading adviser and spokesman, Ibrahim Kalin. Mr Kalin was part of the small group of officials who had listened in on the call.

The Russian demands fall into two categories.

The first four demands are, according to Mr Kalin, not too difficult for Ukraine to meet.

Chief among them is an acceptance by Ukraine that it should be neutral and should not apply to join Nato. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has already conceded this. […] Ukraine would have to undergo a disarmament process to ensure it wasn’t a threat to Russia. There would have to be protection for the Russian language in Ukraine. And there is something called de-Nazification.

(A commenter observed, if there are no Nazis in Ukraine, this should be easy to do. Other reports however, suggest that the Azov battalion, unabashedly Nazi, is pretty large and influential, and Ukraine will probably need Russian help to get rid of it since, well the US trained them.)

European Regulators Tell Banks To Put Russian Accounts Under Surveillance, Even EU Residents

In the latest alarming story that has that disturbing whiff of WWII-era Japanese internment camps, some European banks are now surveilling all Russia and Belarusian clients to ensure they are not seeking to circumvent Western sanctions on Moscow. 

What’s more is that the order to intensively scrutinize transactions merely based on an ethnicity and nationality is coming down on orders from top EU regulators. According to Reuters, “The instructions from ECB [European Central Bank] supervisors mean tens of thousands of Russians and Belarusians resident in the EU face intense surveillance by their banks, which are on alert for big payments and deposits as well as new credit applications, said sources.”

UPDATE on Iran attack against Northern Iraq by missiles

As per usual, every report contradicts every other report. Its probably true that Iran fired some missiles and its probably true that they hit something or close to something. Many people are reported to be dead and no one was hurt or killed.

Zero Hedge: Iran Claims Responsibility For Attacking ‘Israeli Strategic Center’ In Iraq

Update (03.13.2022 1158ET): Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a missile strike on what it called an Israeli “strategic center” located in the Kurdish capital of Erbil, located in northern Iraq, according to Bloomberg, citing the Revolutionary Guard’s official news portal, Sepah News.

The semi-official Tasnim news agency, which is closely aligned to the IRGC, said 10 precision-guided missiles were fired from northwestern Iran, citing an informed source that it didn’t name. The report added that the strike “very likely” resulted in “many casualties” without providing any details. -Bloomberg

Nobody was hurt or killed in the attack, according to US Deputy Secretary of State, Wendy Sherman, denying earlier reports that the US consulate was the target and had been hit. Sherman told Fox News that the incident was of “great concern to all of us,” and amounted to attacking Iraq’s sovereignty.

As we noted last night, the attack comes days after Iran vowed revenge for an Israeli missile attack near Damascus, Syria which killed two IRGC members. According to a Sunday statement by Sepah, there will be a “severe and destructive response” to any future attacks from Israel.

Last night’s report was that the missiles hit a US consulate in Iraq.

But he appears to be in the DPR, which I guess is part of Donbas or maybe is yet another breakaway state from Ukraine. Its 21 minutes. The interview with the woman in the apartment building in about 5 minutes appears to be the point.

4. Russia Strikes Military Site Near Poland in ‘Significant Escalation,’ Dozens Dead

Russian airstrikes on the Yavoriv military training area in Ukraine have left at least 35 people dead, according to the Lviv regional administration in a statement on Sunday.

About 30 missiles were fired from warplanes over the Black and Azov and hit the military base, said Lviv regional military administration chief Maksym Kozytsky in a Facebook statement. Another 134 people were hospitalized in the incident, his office said.

The Yavoriv military site is about 12 miles away from the Polish border and is some 25 miles from Lviv, located in western Ukraine.

“Russia has attacked the International Center for Peacekeeping & Security near Lviv. Foreign instructors work here. Information about the victims is being clarified,” Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov said on social media. “This is new terrorist attack on peace & security near the EU-NATO border. Action must be taken to stop this.”

Curious clip from Ukraine

In the shadowy world of intel, its very hard to know what is true and what is not, and what is directed information to a purpose that is not one of informing the public. This goes 10X for wartime.

In that light, here is an interesting clip. I am content the source of it is sincere. I don’t know much about it, but here is what I do know:

The clip came untitled. The heading of it seems to indicate that the US is giving direct help to the Ukrainian army, specifically the Azov Battalion (A308) which uses the Nazi, SS logo of twin lightning strikes as its battalion crest, in the form of telemetry, or targeting information.

The voice over appears to be Russians from within the tanks. Which means IF this clip is genuine, that it shows the damage the Ukrainian army did to the Russian tanks, exposes direct US military assistance resulting in a win for Ukraine, and that the US, recording this footage by drone, also was tapped into Russian comm systems.

That is assuming of course its not a clip from a high verisimilitude video game. But the source is good on this. Make of it what you will.

If this site is taken down by DDoS shortly, it probably means we have it right.

1. Russia Convenes UN Security Council Meeting to Present BioLab Evidence — Friday at 11 AM

Friday is going to be a very bad day for the United States. Sixty years ago (yes, I was alive then) the United States roasted the Soviet Union in a UN Security Council meeting convened over the Cuban Missile Crisis. There is an old saying, “revenge is a dish best served cold.” Russia is going to dump a load of frozen food on the United States tomorrow at 11 am by exposing U.S. support to Ukraine over the last 17 years for research into biological and chemical weapons.

More craziness from Munich doctors, who appear to have hatched a private sanctions plan of their own, premised on owning Putin by unilaterally refusing to treat Russians.

Remember Ortrud Steinlein, director of the Ludwig Maximilians-Universität Clinic for Human Genetics? She’s the one who declared that, “due to the serious violation of international law by the autocrat Putin, who is obviously mentally disturbed,” she would be “refusing to treat Russian patients.”

Well, that wasn’t an isolated case. It now looks like various Munich physicians got together and worked out this informal sanctions regime among themselves. A few days ago a similar announcement from a private Munich clinic came to light, dating from around the same time and bearing exactly the same message (only in more inflammatory terms):

3. YouTube blocks Russian state-funded media channels globally

OAKLAND, Calif., March 11 (Reuters) – YouTube is immediately blocking access around the world to channels associated with Russian state-funded media, it said on Friday, citing a policy barring content that denies, minimizes or trivializes well-documented violent events.

The world’s most used streaming video service, which is owned by Alphabet Inc’s (GOOGL.O) Google, said Russia’s invasion of Ukraine now fell under its violent events policy and violating material would be removed.

YouTube spokesman Farshad Shadloo said the blocking of the Russian outlets was in line with that policy.

They are correct that there was indeed false flags in Syria about use of Chem-weapons. This site posted video of the nacent Islamic State by other names showing how they killed rabbits with chemical weapons and how they improvised guns that could launch those weapons. Next thing you know, chem-weapons attacks happened in Syria and the Western media blamed Assad. So, points to them for making that observation out of the gate.
