  1. It’s so much better to have a “diverse” multi-hued orchestra than one that’s the best. Then Mr. Tommasini can feel virtuous when he goes to critique the NY Philharmonic’s performance.

    Does he understand that when you base a choice on race, it’s racism? Obviously not. I think the content of his character needs an overhaul.
