(The weapon looked more like a scimitar than a machete to our eyes)
What strange children’s television is this that develops the “theory” of “detonating all the atomic bombs of the world”? Channel description: “Funk is a joint service of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Rundfunkanstalten der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (ARD) and the Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF).”
It is a recruiting cartoon for Greta Tunafish’s green army. Nothing like scaring children into hating humans/themselves – you can never start too soon!

Welcome to Germany, a land of communists and traitors, the generations will pay huge price for this horror, Merkel &CO created, „Willkommen Kultur „ at work..,
Yes, another notch in the belt of Merkel in her attempt to destroy a once-great country. Wonder what this one’s speciality was – medicine, the law, engineering or just the best way of holding a sword to do maximum damage?

Machete? Looks like a 2-handed curved sword. Could be a German Hauschwert, maybe a scimitar of some kind.
Replicas of such historical swords are sold to collectors, re-enactors and the like. Criminals also like them, but as a rule they don’t carry them around unless they’re planning an attack. So it seems likely this was some gangster sh!t and not an attack on an innocent bystander.
Recently I read something about the emergence of Nazism. Every report is more eye-opening than anything I’ve read for years. The conditions at that time would not be completely unlike ours. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/europe/why-i-became-a-nazi-new-book-reveals-enthusiasm-of-early-party-members-1.3637448

A TURKISH SCIMITAR

Definitely Ottoman sword.
I did a simple search: Turkish scimitars. When I saw the stabber, I thought Turk.
This image is very close to the real deal.

I am Kazakh. Strange to see many people here responding behalf of kazakhs:) I would like to underline the word Turk in the question and it is not the word Turkish (some Kazakh responded confusing this fact). Of course Kazakhs are Turks and we consider ourselves as Turks, moreover, Kazakhs are more close to original ancient pre-Islamic Turks than anybody else. If you will read ancient poetry or research old traditions during time of Gultekin/Kultegin you can see that Kazakh culture and traditions are very similar to theirs. Some Kazakh may reject association with turks only because they confuse this word ,narrowing the meaning to Turkish people in Anatolia,or bc some kazakhs are not religious so they don’t like to be associated with other Muslims. As I said more common with Turk culture and traditions before Islam,so everything Arabic or Persian are not considered by Kazakhs as their native culture, but other Turks like in Turkey or Uzbekistan are more Islam based. You can easily see from names of Kazakhs, they barely use Arabic names mainly Turk names, when other Turks use more Arabic names instead.
This concept of turkishness is spelled turkic:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkic_peoples
“Turk” as in citizen of Turkey is an identity invented by Mustafa Kemal, aka Ataturk.
Possibly, but there are many curved swords. Could be German – I mentioned this Hauschwert in an earlier comment:

There’s also the Kriegsmesser, some of which had two-handed grips:

It’s hard to tell from the video. But I’m sure it’s not a machete, it’s a decorative sword. Which suggests this is gangster-related.
