To Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the Elected Officials of New York:We the undersigned join with millions of Americans who are opposed to the founding of a mosque at the very site where Islamist jihadists destroyed the World Trade Center and took the lives of nearly 3,000 people.
We are opposed to the grotesque symbolism represented by the building of this mosque at “ground zero.” We are especially appalled that those pushing for this mosque have designated its grand opening date for September 11, 2011 – the ten year anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history.
We are deeply disturbed by the insensitivity to the families of the victims of the 9/11 jihadist attack exhibited by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his supporters. We find it grossly hypocritical that Islamists and their allies repeatedly lecture Americans about the need to be “sensitive” to Muslims while Imam Rauf and his allies practice the height of intolerance and insensitivity through the blatant act of building a mosque at “ground zero.”
We are offended by the views Imam Rauf has expressed about 9/11, such as his conspiratorial theory that Muslims did not perpetrate the 9/11 attack and that America’s policies were partly to blame for the attack. Such views are a slap in the face of the victims and families of 9/11.
We find it repulsive that Imam Rauf and his followers and supporters would seek to build a mosque near ground zero promoting the same Sharia ideology that the 9/11 hijackers used as the justification for their act of unconscionable murder.
Therefore, in deference to the families of the 9/11 victims and their memory, we call upon the elected officials of New York to oppose the building of this mosque near ground zero and for them to urge Feisal Abdul Rauf and his followers to find another location for it.

I’m sorry but I am very angry and really tired of being politically correct when it comes to this discussion. It is time for Americans to become upset not just mildly irritated but Angry to the core and to start speaking out. We have lost our jobs to foreign interest and big business that have sold us out. Extremist religious factions terrorize our people and kill them because we do not believe the same as they do, they kill our military in cold blood in parking lots at recruiting centers. Our backyards have become battlefields and now they would like us to accept a shrine on our fallen’s graves to top it off. I personally am outraged! Do not allow the building of a Ground Zero mosque! It is a desecration of the graves of the 9/11 victims and a slap in the face for their families. Do not allow the Islamisation of the United States to happen like it has in my country – the UK!
I tend to run off at the mouth and I do not always think straight, The battle between Islam and the rest of the world is nothing new, it has gone on for centuries, they are fast learning that they can not win a war on equal footing, so they have put on the cloak of ‘peace’ and move into our countries and get themselves involved in politics and breed as many little Muslims as possible, it won’t be long before they out-number us, look aroound you? we are surrounded by them, they build their Mosques in our towns and cities, then openly demand Sharia law, are we afraid?, we should be, it has been predicted that in 25 years American white and Christian will be in the minority. Like in the UK, we are told to forget WW11, it might upset the Germans, same for the Muslims, be nice to them and they will be nice to us, pull the other leg, our politicians are afraid to speak out, they have let things go to far and they lack the courage to change things.How will it all end? While I bear no ill will toward those who want a mosque, or those who want to build one, I find it monumentally insensitive that these developers would consider building one at ground zero. This intention is SO insensitive that it becomes absolutely offensive. Let this mosque be built safely elsewhere.
As always on 9/11 my thoughts are with the families of those who lost loved ones in this cowardly act. To say building a mosque on this site is an insult is an understatement. It belittles all those who have paid with their lives then and continue to do so now. Move the mosque as far away as possible from Ground Zero .
I heard a story that if true may prove a good solution to this Mosque building rubbish. It goes thus. When certain people in Spain heard that a Mosque was to built in the city, the people compalined and wanted it stopped
but, their Goverment took no notice, so they decided to solve the problem themselves, they bought a dead PIG and at night buried it in the middle of the site and, needless to say once the muslims found out the Mosque was NOT built, and whenever the question of building a mosque arose again, the people did it again.I think I will hang a pork chop on the door of the next mosque I see. I watched a recent TV Documentary about US forces in Afghanistan and I couuld not believe what I was seeing, those poor lads had theirbhands tied behind their backs, they could see the Tahliban moving in and out of houses but, because it caused a danget to civilians they could do nothing, Sad to say, civilian loss is all in the game. These poor soldiers lost 3 men and 5 others injured. The comments from the GI’s was a sad reflection of the frustration they feel. God Help them one and all.

In Seville Spain , local people found a way to stop the construction of another mosque in their town. They buried a pig on the site, and made sure this would be known by the local press.
The Islamic rules forbid the erecting of a Mosque on “pig soiled ground.” The Muslims had to cancel the project. This land was sold to them by government officials.
No protests were needed by the local people…and it worked!
