The Dhimmi News From the Netherlands

by Baron Bodissey

The Evil Modoggie

The translations and video below deal with the dhimmitude of Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

This video would almost be as hilarious as a Monty Python sketch, if it were not deadly serious. No one in the video rejects the death threats against Lars Vilks, nor, most importantly, do they reject the Muslim plot to murder him.

The video features Appa (the Moroccan “rapper” Rachid El Ghazoui) who a few years ago said he wouldn’t feel sorry if someone shot downGeert Wilders: “If I ever meet Wilders, he’s mine… if someone were to put a bullet in his head, I wouldn’t mind”. The Dutch Ministry of Justice then decided not to hire Appa for workshops in youth prisons for a while. In this video he again lays the blame somewhere else: “Let the white Dutchman now once stand up and say, no this does not work, this is not the way.”

Before the established parties decided to destroy and ethnically cleanse the Netherlands, these mediaeval freaks and zealots would have been laughed at nationwide, while realizing they were lucky to have those idiots live far away, somewhere in the deserts across the Mediterranean.

The Socialists should be made to pay for this one day.

First the video, “Must we remain silent?”:

From Saturday’s Elsevier:

Imam outraged at Elsevier after publication of Mohammed-cartoon

by Robin van der Kloor [with additions from other sources]

Imam Sheik Fawaz Jneid of the controversial The Hague As-Sunnah mosque denounces the republication by various Dutch media, including Elsevier and De Pers, of what in his eyes is an insulting Muhammad cartoon. The weblog GeenStijl previously posted the drawing in 2007, but that did not cause an angry Imam in those days.

In a video message on the website islaam.tv, the imam lashes out big time. “We say to these insulters that if you try to mock the prophet you shall never, ever succeed in this […] then you most of all ridicule yourselves…” The reprinting of the cartoon is, according to Fawaz Jneid, “lower than childish,” and these kinds of insults must contested with the hand, tongue and heart. [see transcript at the bottom of this post for details]

The commotion arose when the newspaper AD first published the drawing by Swedish artist Lars Vilks [also in the mobile edition here], but subsequently deleted it. Muslims claimed to feel offended too much by the drawing, a sketch in which a dog’s body can be seen with the head of the Islamic prophet Muhammad [actually, just a head with a turban].

From Al-Yaqeen.com on March 16:

It is up again. In the name of journalism there is again a mockery made of the prophet Muhammad. The digital version of the [newspaper]Algemeen Dagblad [AD] on March 16, 2010, reports that two individuals are being charged in connection with an alleged conspiracy to murder Swedish cartoonist. Thus it was considered necessary to display the offending cartoon. Why? […] Thus an urgent appeal to the AD to take down the offending cartoon from its website without delay, and now finally start to really bring people together, rather than divide them. And a call on every Muslim and sympathizer of Muhammad to send an e-mail to the AD and ask to remove this revolting cartoon from its website. — Update [March 17]: In the meantime, we noted that the AD has removed the image. We hope that such scenes will no longer occur in the future. We therefore will keep a watchful eye and stay close to developments in the media.”

Continuing with Elsevier:

Following this, both Elsevier and De Pers, wrote about the action of the AD and posted the cartoon to show what all the fuss was really about. The publication apparently caused enormous anger with the imam of the As-Sunnah Mosque. An anger he did not show in 2007 when GeenStijlposted the cartoon.

And from Thursday’s Elsevier:

On Thursday the deputy chief editor of the AD, Bart Verkade, told the newspaper De Pers that they indeed had received many injured reactions. Although this demonstrates that the issue is rather sensitive, it was not the reason for removing the cartoon. “This happened after an internal discussion. It was too soon decided that this was an appropriate illustration. We found the image not relevant,” says Verkade. The cartoon has been replaced by a picture of the threatened cartoonist.

Daily Standard comments in their article “Cowardly internet editors ofAlgemeen Dagblad remove Muhammad-cartoon after complaints by hate-imam”: “Above all, by removing the cartoon the Algemeen Dagblad reveals itself to be the Dutch version of the Danish Politiken. With the only difference being that the AD yielded to only a few angry e-mails, whereas Politiken at least was waited for some Muslim violence.”

VH adds:

Concerning the video, Pritt (GeenStijl) commented on twitter about the: “F***ng rude shirt that @martijn5155 [Social and Cultural Anthropologist Martijn de Koning] wears in this little video. Where do you buy that?” And re-posted Lars Vilks’ drawing: “Weekly Elsevier andDe Pers (“insulters”) are in trouble with the sheik Fawaz Whatever, the cancer-wishing humorless hate beard on Islam.tv. Because of the above cartoon, which newspaper AD earlier this week censored away after complaints from nagging Muslims. GeenStijl had posted the cartoon inAugust 2007, and nothing was the matter with it then, but now seemingly there is. Excellent. Come on [if you dare], come on!

Video transcript: “Must we remain silent?”

00:10.00 Must we remain silent?
00:14.00
00:20.00 We regret what took place in recent days …
00:26.00 with regard to showing once again the cartoons that are terrible …
00:32.00 and insulting for Islam and Muslims…
00:34.00 that have been published by certain Dutch media…
00:40.00 It is necessary therefore to clarify our position on this…
00:48.00 and what the attitude of Muslims should be about this.
00:56.00 Eventually we all live together here; we’re not leaving anyway.
01:00.00 We will still stay here all together, we must walk all together through one door…
01:04.00 You know, why do we continue attacking each other, the one must defend…
01:08.00 the other must attack, for what? Let the white Dutchman now…
01:12.00 for once stand up and say, no this does not work, this is not the way.
01:16.00 I think the way this business is going now is a typical example of…
01:20.00 how the debate on Islam now taking shape in the Netherlands, especially also…
01:24.00 with these cartoons.
01:28.00 The AD [Algemeen Dagblad] has posted it. You may indeed wonder why…
01:32.00 and whether in any case they considered at all why they had…
01:36.00 to post that cartoon. Islam.tv and others have responded to it…
01:40.00 and partly as a result, AD removed this cartoon…
01:45.00 and now the AD gets the blame for having removed the cartoon.
01:50.00 In this way freedom of speech is placed against freedom…
01:54.00 of religion, in which the posting of this cartoon…
01:58.00 in fact only has one purpose, namely to teach the other, …
02:02.00 in this case the Muslim, a lesson about who in this country…
02:06.00 is the boss. Nah, you might wonder whether that…
02:10.00 is the meaning of freedom of speech or freedom of eh… religion.
02:15.00 We say to these insulters…
02:19.00 that if you try to mock the prophet…
02:26.00 you shall never, ever succeed in this,
02:30.00 because the prophet is in an exalted company…
02:36.00 and there are 1.5 billion Muslims who love him, adore him and defend him.
02:48.00 And if it is your intention to insult the Muslims…
02:52.00 then you most of all ridicule yourselves…
02:56.00 and damage your own image with it.
03:00.00 It also shows a bad image about your way of thinking…
03:04.00 and your poor control of the media apparatus.
03:08.00 To us, with the will of Allah, this will not even dust our shoes.
03:13.00 The position of the prophet is in our hearts…
03:17.00 elevated above those childish acts.
03:26.00 Even more, they are lower than childish acts.
03:30.00 And why are some people like me summoned the moment…
03:34.00 I say something about Wilders, and I even had a lawsuit on my pants…
03:38.00 which, however I won, but apart from that…
03:42.00 anyone who makes these caricatures, about, about, about a prophet…
03:46.00 of a certain religion, which is very sacred to many people, for a very large group…
03:50.00 of people, who already are such a delicate position in this society…
03:54.00 nothing is said about that … It’s not that I feel my toes are being stepped on, it’s not that…
03:58.00 y’know, but I will become a bit sick shit of the continuous shit sticking, of things stuck on us…
04:02.00 things said about us, about us, and then we are supposed to remain silent…
04:04.00 because otherwise we get the picture of, yes, those Muslims easily feel…
04:08.00 their toes trampled on.
04:12.00 No, friend, you talk about somebody’s prophet.
04:16.00 Yeah, I also find you must not use freedom of opinion to insult or hurt other people…
04:20.00 I find it a pity that other people want that. Look, it can do that, and is all legal…
04:24.00 that it will be so, but I just think that everyone in the Netherlands should just not want that.
04:28.00 You just must not want to insult someone, you just must not want to…
04:32.00 paint someone else’s religion black, with images or photos or whatever.
04:36.00 So I hope that Muslims, but [also] Jews, Christians, atheists, humanists…
04:40.00 everyone, that they simply make sure to go along with each other.
04:44.00 And to the youth I want to say…
04:48.00 don’t encourage those people, you know, don’t give them a stick to hit you, don’t go rioting in the streets…
04:52.00 or whatever, you know, use your brains that have you got from [inaudible], and then do use them.
04:57.00 Well, my response will not be towards the press because I, eh, don’t think…
05:01.00 it’s worth the trouble of a newspaper that is normally known only by people who move house,…
05:05.00 it serves to wrap their dishes in, so my reaction is mainly towards those who are trying to insult him.
05:11.00 And to them I actually say: draw, write, and hate, I understand it is frustrating for you to see…
05:15.00 that didn’t work, and it is frustrating for you to see more and more people start to love him, and admire…
05:21.00 and cherish him, and it is frustrating to see that he to this day manages to win many hearts…
05:26.00 The Prophet said: Any of you who sees something that is not allowed must change it …
05:30.00 with the hand [violence] and if he is unable to do that then with his tongue.
05:34.00 And so when he is unable to do that, with his heart. The latter is the weakest form of faith.
05:38.00 This means that you are obliged to show your discontent; when one has the power…
05:42.00 to counter this rotting and mocking, then he is obliged to do so.
05:46.00 If this is not the case, as is the situation of Muslims here in the Netherlands,…
05:50.00 then he must disapprove with his tongue. Unless he is in a situation where he…
05:54.00 feels threatened, then the least he should do is to detest by means of his heart.
06:02.00 Also we Muslims must take account of others, that is also very important…
06:06.00 take account of your neighbors, take account of the communities around you…
06:10.00 and you’ll see that [Inshallah] it all will become just fine.
06:14.00
