US/NATO BASE SEALED OFF by Turkish forces
TURKEY has sent police to surround the Incirlik air base it operates with the United States — and where a large stockpile of NATO nuclear weapons is held — ahead of a visit by a senior US official tomorrow.
Unconfirmed reports out of Turkey suggest all entrances to the air base have been blocked by heavy vehicles and police sent to secure its peremiter.
The unusual nigh-time move sparked rumours of a second coup attempt on Turkish social media, with concerned citizens rushing to the air base to join the blockade.
The move comes less than a week after a top US Army general was accused by Turkish media of ‘leading’ the uprising against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier this month.

Add this to the news items from the Turkish press on arms shipments to the Islamic State and it starts to look pretty airtight. The real mystery is the NATO-US connection to Turkey and the Islamic State. There is simply no way Russia, and the Turkish media could know these things and the Obama administration would not.

After Turkish forces shot down a Russian Su-24 warplane on the Turkey-Syria border on Tuesday morning, disturbing reports emerged that members of a Syrian rebel group claimed to have killed the Russian pilots as they descended with parachutes after ejecting from their destroyed plane.
“Both of the pilots were retrieved dead. Our comrades opened fire into the air and they died in the air,” Alpaslan Celik, a rebel commander, told Reuters.
To understand why Celik’s rebels would even claim to do this, you need to know a little bit about who they are. A Turkish fighter jet shot down a Russian SU-24 bomber as it carried out a mission against rebel fighters near the Syrian-Turkish border on Tuesday morning. Turkey claims the Russian aircraft violated its airspace, while Russian officials say the shooting down happened over Syrian territory.

NATO member Turkey shoots down Russian jet

I get that you are afraid of large scale black rioting if you impeach Obama and remove him from office. But I would ask you to weigh the costs of that against his engineering a military loss to the Islamic State or to Russia or a nuclear exchange. Unthinkable? Ask yourselves if I had said 9 years ago that we would find ourselves where we are today if that was also unthinkable. We know that the ROE in every conflict under Obama against religious muslims either by design or by accident has guaranteed a loss. In Iraq, Afghanistan and now against the IS. The only battles the US won created space for the IS to assimilate such as Libya and in a way, Egypt.
Turkey shooting down a Russian fighter strikes me as a move designed to put major powers in between the Russians and the Islamic State. So the cost of impeachment of Barack Obama may be immeasurably lower than the cost of keeping him in for another year.

Turkey has shot down a Russian military jet which it says violated its airspace near the Syrian border.
The Russian Defence Ministry and Turkish Presidency, quoted in Russian and Turkish media reports, have both described the plane as Russian, and video posted by the Haberturk TV station appeared to show the jet coming down in flames.
A military official, quoted by Turkey’s Dogan news agency, said the plane was shot down by Turkish F16s, and that the pilot was given prior warning.
Various reports described the plane as coming down in hostile Syrian territory, and the fate of the two pilots on board was unknown.

There is currently disagreement on where the Russian aircraft was when it was shot down. But one thing is for sure. Whatever muslim filmed it, was delighted by it.

1. UPDATED: Syrian rebels call for regional alliance against Russia and Iran
More than 40 Syrian insurgent groups including the powerful Islamist faction Ahrar al-Sham have called on regional states to forge an alliance against Russia and Iran in Syria, accusing Moscow of occupying the country and targeting civilians.
The insurgents, including rebel groups under the umbrella of the Free Syria Army, said such regional cooperation was needed to counter “the Russian-Iranian alliance occupying Syria”.

5. China’s military advisers ‘heading to Syria to help fight ISIS’ – report

China will be helping out the Syrian government in the fight against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIL/ISIS) by sending “military advisers,” media reports have claimed.
“The Chinese will be arriving in the coming weeks,” a Syrian army official told the Lebanon-based news website Al-Masdar Al-‘Arabi.
The report claims that a Chinese naval vessel is on its way to Syria with dozens of “military advisers” on board. They will reportedly be followed by troops.
The ship is said to have passed the Suez Canal in Egypt and be making its way through the Mediterranean Sea.
(There may be a lot more to this story than is written in this article. If true, it should be known shortly. But the Chinese may invest itself heavily in this situation very quickly)
6. Islamic State ‘executes 70 Sunni tribesmen in Iraq’
Sheikh Naeem al-Gaoud told the BBC that members of the Al Bu Nimr tribe were shot dead in the village of Khanizir, in Anbar province, on Sunday night.
He said the tribesmen were killed because they had relatives serving in the Iraqi security forces.
The Al Bu Nimr have played an important role in battling jihadists for years.

Two Turkish F-16 fighter jets were harassed by an unidentified MIG-29 for five minutes during a patrol flight on the border with Syria, the Turkish General Staff has stated.
“Ten F-16 fighter jets were patrolling the Turkey-Syria border. During this mission, two of our F-16’s were harassed by an unidentified MIG-29, with a lock on for a total of five minutes and 40 seconds,” said the statement.
