Macron talks of ‘regaining control of our lives’, perhaps he means regaining control of the streets of France on a Saturday?
I am sure Europe wants to work closely with Great Britain in the area of defence but will the UK be prepared to sacrifice a third generation of young men to keep Europe alive. I doubt it and I also doubt whether the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the other members of the old British empire will be in a hurry to come to Europes aid in the conflict to come.
They would not be fighting for the Europeans, they would be fighting the enemies of their nations on other peoples land so it is other nations that are torn up. If the nations follow your logic each nation would fall one at a time when they could have banded together to save themselves.
