Australia now under the sharia in all but name

In a stunning act of dhimmitude, Australia has turned down an application to build a Synagogue in what was traditionally a Jewish area, because it will be a terrorist target.

This is using the language of national security to enforce sharia law, in exactly the same manner that the rest of the West uses the language of postmodernism, read ‘hate speech’ etc., to do the same.

A LOCAL council has banned the construction of a synagogue in Bondi because it could be a terrorist target, in a shock move that religious leaders say has caved in to Islamic extremism and created a dangerous precedent.

 

The decision, which has rocked the longstanding Jewish community in the iconic suburb, was upheld in court this week as the nation reeled from the alleged airline terror threat and debate raged over increased security measures at airports and other public places.

 

The Land and Environment Court backed the decision by Waverley Council to prohibit the construction of the synagogue in Wellington St, Bondi — just a few hundred metres from Australia’s most famous beach — because it was too much of a security risk for users and local residents.

Quite often brutal antisemitic comments appear under some of the Youtube videos we upload. As a general rule, I delete them and ban the poster.

I very much believe in freedom of speech. And blocking people who attempt to hijack our very hard earned platform for irrelevant posts which in 90% of the cases are 100% irrelevant to the issue in the video, is no more blocking people’s freedom of speech than when Kieth Richards smashed the head of a man who jumped on stage at Altamonte was interfering with that man’s right to play guitar.

I do not want the government to regulate them, arrest them, or otherwise interfere with their right to hate on Jewish people. But I will not allow people to hijack a thread on a specific subject to make it about their pet issue and that applies to any issue, although antisemitism is the most common hijack of a thread.

This video was about a Synagogue. But not about Jewish rights per se so much as about the fact that the secular government of Australia denied a permit on the basis that Muslims will attack it. This issue would have been exactly as important if it was any other kind of building. An art gallery, a Church, a school for girls. So I have been deleting attempts to make this about Jews as the central evil under this video on its Youtube page.

    • What the article does not say, is that Iran pretty much controls the roughly 20 to 30% of Shiia muslims here and there in Sunni countries. So the G&M article which repeatedly refers to them as “its own people” is doing propaganda.

      Iran uses the Shiia population in all Sunni countries as a sword of Damocles over the regional governments and from time to time uses them to create pressure.

      Not saying this justifies anything. Just that these people are not Saudi citizens in the way the Mail wants to present them. They are what Daniel Greenfield refers to as, “Military Colonists”. Essentially what many Muslims are in the West.

I imagine Merkel and Juncker would be quite happy to reopen the Balkan route admitting 1.5 million battering rams, so long as their fingerprints aren’t on it. As I recall this is the dry powder amassed in Turkey. That King bitchslap doesn’t have the traction it deserves.

  5. The planning council is asking the Jewish community to prove a negative…
    How about the next time the planning council is presented with an application for a mosque they ask the muslim community to prove that there won’t be any radicalization or hate speech in that mosque.

      I really get the temptation for this argument. You can be against the problem, but find a level of abstraction where you get to keep your ability to virtue signal. The problem is not eating, science or religion. It is what kind and how you do it. Islam is a perversion of the religious impulse that turns evil into good. Using definitions of good and evil that are actually pretty much agreed on by every other religious and ethical system on Earth.????

      This means it was intentional and clearly designed to benefit one guy. Mohammad.

      Every other system is designed to reduce friction and suffering and make for a cooperative society. Know any actuarials Ask them what the cost of insuring Islamic stuff is or the cost of insuring stuff Muslims don’t like near mosques.

      Im not 100% sure why it is so difficult to just say what the obvious problem is. Something to do with a postmodern education I guess that always and deliberately looks for the wrong level of abstraction in order to turn good into bad and the reverse. I call this intellectual slight of hand. It looks and feels good on the surface and lets you join the socialist anti-religion team while they slowly ease you into being OK with islam, and islam only as a cultural right.

      Think it through. Are Jews, Buddhists, Christians keeping slaves, murdering tons of people and demanding everyone else submit to their laws?

      Or are the first people at every single major tragedy with food and medical aid every religious group except muslims, who believe anything bad that happens to every other group is allah’s will and must not be interfered with.
