  1. France: Protesters march against Marion Le Pen in Saint-Etienne

Hundreds of Antifa activists marched through Saint-Etienne on Saturday, to protest against Front National politician Marion Marechal Le Pen’s visit to the neighbouring village of Magneux-Haute-Rive.

Marion Le Pen, niece of the FN leader Marine Le Pen, arrived at the Magneux-Haute-Rive commune on Friday, where some 400 National Front leaders held a rally ahead of the presidential elections, which will be held on April 23, with a run-off on May 7.

Claire, activist (French): “We are proud to live in a city full of cultural diversity. It is our duty, as citizens of Saint-Etienne, to fight by all means this ignorance and this racist climate that never ceases to develop. We will end by saying that it is not the refugees that must be stigmatized, it is Marion Marechal Le Pen that must be fired! Saint-Etienne, Antifa!”
