Exposing the grotesque dishonesty of ye-olde-media for advancing the far left wing extremist, globalist agenda

As I watched Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban’s stunning speech yesterday, I thought to myself, won’t it be interesting to check the usual media sources and watch how the distort, spin, attack and outright lie about PM Orban and his speech.

The Globe and Mail, a left leaning paper out of Toronto provides today’s first example.

Mr. Orban, for example, brazenly declared in 2014 that he preferred an “illiberal state” and “illiberal democracy,” citing Russia as his model. Mr. Orban has taken steps that in some ways disturbingly mirror those in Russia, cracking down on NGOs, constraining civil society organizations, impairing judicial independence and trying to control the media.

Further, the Orban government has encouraged anti-EU and anti-NATO sentiments, contending that the EU is unfairly restricting Hungary’s sovereignty – despite the enormous economic benefits that Hungary has derived from membership.

Earlier this month, Mr. Orban organized a national referendum about closing the door to refugees from the Middle East – even though only 1,294 refugees were stipulated in the EU refugee-sharing quota. Democratic opposition parties argued that the referendum was an attempt to distract from his domestic failures and persuaded their supporters to boycott the vote.

And it goes on like that for some time.

RT, not content to wait for the speech to hit social media, put up a short video claiming that the audience was whistling and booing over his speech. Anyone who has actually watched the Hungarian TV coverage of it would instantly know the truth of it. Which is that people were clapping and chanting his name many times during the speech.

“Hungary: Protesters whistle over Orban as he delivers speech on anniv. of 1956 revolution”

One MIGHT understand RT’s position. After all, some Russians might identify with the Soviets that were defeated by the Hungarian nationalists. But today, Putin is every bit the nationalist Orban is. So one would think they would not try and misrepresent the event like this.

The left wing UK paper, the Guardian also takes shots at Orban, although he says nothing Churchill wouldn’t have said under the same circumstances.

“Hungary’s anti-refugee rhetoric dishonours its history – my grandmother could tell you”

Yeah I bet she could. And it goes on like that for some time.

Euronews, predictably focused on opposition to Orban, without bothering to report on what either he, or the President of Poland actually said, or how warmly it was received by over 99% of the audience.

Euronews has been caught by this site quite deliberately falsifying news reports to make Islam look like a good idea, and globalization the way things are, and opponents of either to be saber tooth racists.

One example below, but by no means the only one.

  1. Euronews, years ago, had a comments section but they had to get rid of it because too many people were disagreeing with the article perspectives. So they decided to shut down comment.

  2. I think I heard the Euronews woman say the Hungarians were celebraing the communist revolution 60 years ago. Will someone please correct me if I heard it wrong.

  3. I remember hearing about “The big lie” in high school history but didn’t really believe it. Now there are big lies all over the place. Like when Angela Merkel says that the Europeans have an “obligation” to accept the “refugees”. What nonsense! It’s like when they say, “It’s not who we are…” as they stare nobly into space.

Europeans may have been allied with the Arabs in WWI, but that’s about it. Apart from that they’ve been enemies for 1400 years and their world views are diametrically opposed to each other. Of any people who they think of as natural friends, Syrians and Somalis have to be at the bottom of the list. But the left just keeps repeating it with such conviction that the average person can’t help but believe that it must be true, or they wouldn’t keep saying it. Same with “climate change” and a whole raft of other things. Black Lives Matter… You name it… This is the Renaissance of the big lie theory and it’s working quite splendidly…

    • Hitler used the Big Lie, Germany believed him and followed him into hell.

Now the left is once again using the Big Lie on several subjects that all lead to crippling the West and letting the left take over. Now that so many people are believing it all we can do is take comfort in the Truth Abe Lincoln told the world: You can fool all of the people part of the time. You can fool part of the people all of the time. But you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.”

You take what comfort you can find and think about all of the times in History when it looked like the side of freedom would lose. It didn’t but it really looked like it would.

  4. I could say welcome to the wonderful world of communist propaganda but unfortunately there is nothing wonderful about it. I grew behind the Iron Curtain in Hungary and we learn it from the get go, that they lie in the morning and the evening all the time, everywhere.

    • I call it “narrative thinking”. Instead of telling you what actually happened yesterday, they tell you whatever you need to hear in order to make you believe and support the chosen narrative. For some reason, all western journalists are desperate to see massive Muslim immigration followed by the imposition of Sharia law and an end to freedom of speech for good. Whay? I haven’t got the foggiest notion. Maybe they’re all useless morons. Hard to say…

      • Journalists ride behind a story,
        Actors want themselves excel,
        Priests foretell tomorrow’s glory,
        Politicians, all will be well.
