My heart is with the French, and I did like Sarkozy, but really how stupid were they to push that intervention in Lybia to get Gaddafi. The charm but also the deep flaw of Sarkozy was that he had a tendency to go from one extreme to the other: first he lets Ghadaffi (I still don’t know how to spell Gadaffi) literally put his Tents up on the Champs Elysees, then he helps killing him.
Call me nostalgic, but I think we in the West were better off when the Shah of Persia, Hussein, Gadaffi, the former Egyptian guy whatshis name etc. etc. were policing this kind of people – they knew how to keep the lid on the chauldron.
