Those who have not yet read The Gulag Archipelago. and or 1984, may want to start right away.
One of the fascinating aspects of the Gulag Archipelago, is the occasional use of the word, Dialectics. At one point, in book 1, section 1, Page 100-101 it is explained that a dialectic is kind of an equivalent of a Fatwa. It is a decree of something ludicrously untrue and destructive to your person and liberties but must be obeyed. At this point, Islam, 1984 in its portrayal of communism and The Gulag Archipelago in its matter of fact description of communism as it actually operated in real time in front of the author and his witnesses, intersect perfectly.
It turns out that in that terrible year Andrei Yanuaryevich (one longs to blurt out, “Jaguaryevich”) Vyshinsky, availing himself of the most flexible dialectics (of a sort nowadays not permitted either Soviet citizens or electronic calculators, since to them yes is yes and no is no), pointed out in a report which
became famous in certain circles that it is never possible for The Interrogation mortal men to establish absolute truth, but relative truth only. He then proceeded to a further step, which jurists of the last two thousand years had not been willing to take: that the truth established by interrogation and trial could not be absolute, but only,
so to speak, relative. Therefore, when we sign a sentence ordering someone to be shot we can never be absolutely certain, but only approximately, in view of certain hypotheses, and in a certain sense, that we are punishing a guilty person.8 Thence arose the most practical conclusion: that it was useless to seek absolute evidence–for evidence is always relative-or unchallengeable
witnesses-for they can say different things at different times. The proofs of guilt were relative, approximate, and the interrogator could find them, even when there was no evidence and no witness, without leaving his office, “basing his conclusions not only on his own intellect but also on his Party sensitivity, his moral forces” (in other words, the superiority of someone who has slept well, has been well fed, and has not been beaten up)
For me at least, this compares perfectly with the part of 1984 where it is explained in Goldstein’s Book:

Having said that, as a Canadian, I have been extremely careful what I say near a waiter or waitress, because at this point the left has been so inculcated with hate, certainty and entitlement already, that while they may not as yet be able to call the police on you, what they can do to your food or drinks may be worse. So situational awareness all around please ladies and gentlemen.

My take: while they have listed only the “causes” for the ones confirmed to have died (while Alzheimers sure, thats something ppl die of, CJD aka mad cow disease is a prion based disease usually caught by eating brains of similar mammals…and that didnt warrant further follow up by the docs???) they had a combo of steering clear of the issue of heavy metals/glyphosate, in ones currently still alive that are affected, partly because the testing wasnt done in a manner that could conclusively say one way or the other, and IMO, they don’t really want to annoy the biggest employer and de facto feudal lords of the province( i lol’d to myself seeing Brunswick News asking about potential spraying issues from another arm of the corp Kracken down there).
Heavy metal testing can be a bit tricky because you need to know what you’re seeing in the test, for example, some “high” tests in say hair are showing actually the body excreting some metals, but also low values in certain tests can mean not that you havent been exposed, but that your body is holding onto what you have been exposed to, so often you need tests from diff sources in the body over time & have knowledge of exposure environment.
It’s been decades since the whole 2-4-D and 2-4-5-T IIRC spraying issues over Spruce Budworm back in the 70s and 80s, but most ppl don’t know that Glyphosate, aka Roundup works by making various minerals unavailable to whatever is exposed to it, then as a knock on effect you have various minerals that will basically “move into” the slot intended for those minerals example, if Calcium is missing, Strontium will take its place, etc.so its not just the issue of mineral deficiencies affecting ppls immune system or brain development, its the in tandem accumulation of various toxic minerals they may be exposed to that are taking the place of minerals locked up by the glyphosate.
Will be interesting to see if the province does the testing req’d over time to determine any toxic exposure, not holding my breath on it, although by now, you’d think they’d have ruled out location specific genetics, diet, etc. factors.

I’m floored by the level of hate that has spread through our society and I don’t see any way out.
There are lots of ways out.
I think of it like medical problems.
The faster you recognize the disease and treat it, the less severe and even memorable the treatment is.
The longer you let it fester, the more severe and dangerous and costly the treatments are.
So at this point, there is no non-kinetic way out. This is why ICE is deporting people forcefully.
As the left opposes these deportations they are either forcing the Fed Guv to bring in troops that would be if not a civil war per se, adjacent to one, and defacto a civil war.
No idea if that is the desired outcome by the leftist agitators, but for sure it is by those who have created them from just a bunch of entitled white lesbians.
So there is a way out. But the sooner its enacted, the less damaging it is. LEt’s hope Trump gets it done by the midterms, and also gets the electoral process fixed by the midterms so everything he does in’t undone.
