Not to spoil the punchline here, but personally I find this man’s stance to be a very highly ethical and principled one. He could, if he chose, enjoy some of his basic rights by showing his special obedience badge to the 14 year old girl now empowered to demand private medical information before you can sit down for a coffee, but he chose not to because the entire policy is simply wrong.
If principles were cheap, everyone would have them.
