Some really worthwhile videos in this post: Links 2, December 16, 2019

1. Canada convicts a muslim terrorist on several charges but does not include terrorism, even though he had an Islamic State flag in his car at the time of his attack.

It does seem odd doesn’t it?

I wonder if this has anything to do with it at all?

Canada has a secret program that grants visas to war criminals, terrorists, security threats

[…] according to internal government documents obtained by Global News, Canada has a secret program that allows certain “high-profile” foreign nationals who would otherwise be barred from entering the country due to national security concerns, war crimes, human rights violations and organized crime to be granted special “public policy” entry visas so long as it is in Canada’s “national interest.”

But exactly what “national interest” means in relation to this policy and how the government decides who gets this kind of visa is unclear.

That’s because there’s almost no information available about the program, and the government refuses to answer questions.

Details of Zahw’s immigration file, including internal government documents detailing the secretive visa policy, were submitted to the Federal Court when Zahw challenged the government’s efforts to block him from making a refugee claim.

(In fairness to the Canadian Government, people involved in getting rid of Obama’s man in Egypt, Mohammad Morsi, is someone who should get an all expenses paid vacation in the Canadian city of his choice. So like many clandestine programs that bypass law, they are just find depending on how they are applied. So much better if we had rational laws instead of a thick layer of buttery sanctimony over everything and then made everything practical a back door deal)

2. The Ground Zero Mosque Project Is Back

The news was buried under two dense paragraphs and five large photos in an article in New York YIMBY about a different project: “Construction has also yet to begin on 51 Park Place, which is slated to become a 71-foot-tall, 16,000-square-foot Islamic cultural center.”

The infamous Ground Zero Mosque project, a long buried effort to build a triumphal mosque at the site of the worst jihad terror attack in American history, is back.

Construction has yet to begin, but it will: the shady developer behind the Ground Zero Mosque scheme, Sharif El-Gamal, has been working to build this sinister structure for years.

We defeated the Ground Zero Mosque project once before.  The 16-story mosque that El-Gamal initially planned to build there has not been built.  Our efforts in showing what an insult it was to the American people and to the victims of 9/11, and how many Muslims worldwide would inevitably view it as a triumphal mosque built on the site of a jihad attack, defeated it.  Tens of thousands of people came out for our rallies in lower Manhattan against this celebration of this 9/11 attacks, and El-Gamal was beaten in the court of public opinion.

3. This is a good video even for Computing Forever. Fact based, and interpretations are derived right from the facts in an obvious manner. All this to say, its. worthwhile video to watch on the state of Freedom of speech, and the alliance of Government, organizations laughably called, “NGOs”, and the Catholic Church who stand with communists and thugs against individual rights.

4. Clint Eastwood has a new movie and it appears to be a kind of prequel to the reality that is the FBI today. Here is a write up from Front Page Mag.

Clint Eastwood, 89, has been busy promoting the new movie he produced and directed. The story he wanted to tell is a lot bigger than the eponymous Richard Jewell, faithfully played by Paul Walter Hauser as a character hard to like.

As a white, southern male, Jewell is a member of the group most vilified in American popular and political culture. On top of race and gender, which he can’t control, Jewell is a rather dim overweight gun nut and a police wannabe. When the Olympics comes to Atlanta in 1996, Jewell gets a job as a security guard.

He spots a suspicious backpack, which turns out to be a bomb. Jewell helps evacuate the area, sparing many from the blast, and is hailed as a hero. For the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Jewell is a prime suspect based on their “profile” of white males, law-enforcement wannabes who plant a bomb then detect it to gain hero status. Jewell fits the profile, but the facts of the case leave no doubt he is innocent.  For the FBI, that doesn’t matter.

(It should be available in theatres in Canada and the USA now)

5. Three Minutes of Horowitz on Obama’s slander of the USA

6. Flashback. I wonder where this whole video went off too.

7. Donald Trump Jr. “I’ve seen the bread lines of communism”.

(This is unusually good on the practical reality of communism and its looming threat to the USA. He doesn’t quite quote Trudeau, but when talking about the Green New Deal, any Canadian will hear in his mind’s ear, “The Books will balance Themselves”. In Trudeau’s second term we find out they don’t though.

Thank you Richard, M., Babs, Pym Purnell, Wrath of Khan, Coram Deo,  EB., PC., and all who sent in materials and their thoughts.

  1. 4 – This movie tells the truth about how the media lied about Jewel, this is why the media reports on the film are trashing it and why you can’t believe any of the reports about the quality or the amount of money the movie has made.

  2. # The Catholic Church does support human rights. He did say on the video that some people had been misinformed about what their protest was about.
You will get individuals and groups that do things like this, usually they are people on the left.
Pope John Paul supported and encouraged the Solidarité movement in Poland that helped bring down the Soviet Union. He was in touch with Lech Walesa and Ronald Reagan the whole time that was going on. There’s a lot people don’t know.
He was also a big supporter of the UDHR, so is Pope Benedict.
They both lived under Communism and Naziism, and knew what Totalitarianism is. Pope John Paul asked George W Bush not to go to war in Iraq.
That’s why the Church is against abortion. If you don’t have the right to life, then you don’t have any rights at all.
I’m sure you can find times and places where some Church officials haven’t supported human rights, history is full of people behaving badly, but if you believe as the Church does, that every human being is made in the image and likeness of God then you are for human rights.

    • My father adored Paul John Paul, an early champion of Refuseniks.

He was the first Pope to affirm that Jews and Christians are brothers – and not the Cain and Abel kind.

It wasn’t the smarmy cant Pope Francis uses to advance the Moslem agenda. Nor the grotesque “forgiving Christ-killers” that had been deemed generous in earlier formulations.

No. It was his profound conviction that we are the closest spiritual kin, a fresh understanding that some of us see as divinely inspired.

      • Hi yucki, I don’t think he was the first, it’s hard to remember everything youv’e learned, we can only judge history in broad strokes, there are always exceptions and distortions.
Perhaps I should just have said that I know the Catholic Church supports human rights because that’s where I learned about them.

  3. 6 Yeah, that’s an oldie. A trailer for a documentary, unfortunately I’ve never seen it and don’t know how it’s called.

That man (a quran scholar, I assume) is completely correct: in sharia, a wife is not allowed to refuse a husband. So marital rape doesn’t exist according to that legislation.

The nose cutting thing comes more from central asian culture, I think. Maiming with knife, acid or fire is part of the honor/shame thing, though there is a basis for it in muslim scripture. According to those rules, men are responsible for controlling their women folk.
