I had a real epiphany while watching a Noam Chomsky interview recently when I truly “got” that the communist, in his true honest heart-of-hearts opinion, believes that the system of living which we have adopted through the industrial revolution up to modern times and which we call “capitalism” or “a free market economy” is the most terrible cruel tyrannical oppressive genocidal evil system ever devised by man and that it would be better to be in the bad part of Auschwitz-Birkenau than to work for Amazon.com. or Boeing. Sure, communism has its faults, but nothing could be as bad as the way things are now. One person working for another person is unspeakably perverted, disgusting, and intolerable and cannot be truly called a “life” at all. Only socialism offers a life of meaning where your every action is for the good of the people…

    There’s no fighting that, folks. That’s what they honestly believe, many from their red-diaper childhoods. They’re not joking. They really believe that illogical stuff…

    • I know you’re right. Their true-blue, rose-coloured fantasy paves the road straight to hell.

    • Chomsky’s linguistics have been totally debunked. Stunningly, brilliantly WRONG. Convinced almost everybody for a while with pseudo-scientific theory in a fancy package.

      At MIT you learn first-rate wrapping tricks. The damnest liars are those who lie with statistics. And you don’t get into MIT unless you’ve got the knack for math gymnastics. MIT economists are such gifted numbers jockeys they win the biggest prizes. And economics is as “scientific” as transformational grammar.

      Without that gloss from the academy, Chomsky would’ve been just another communist crank. Scribbler and dribbler, a dime a dozen under the Soviet spell.

      • You can dismiss Chomsky all you like but according to the ratings-system that the universities use he is the number one academic of our time and that’s a fact. They add up speaking attendance, publications, references in other publications and other things and they always come up with Noam at number one. I think he’s KGB or KGB-assisted but I’m just guessing.

        Never doubt that Noam Chomsky is a very important figure. I also know that he doesn’t believe a word that he says and is just gaslighting us all the live-long day. He is not an “academic” he is a propagandist…

        • Chomsky is the master of selective enforcement in order to constantly shift all issues leftwards. Even his seemingly libertarian work, “Manufacturing Consent” has two tells that it is a Marxist tome to force the narrative leftwards.

          1. he claims early on in the book/movie that in order to decrypt what you see and hear from mass media you need help and he can provide you with the keys.

          2. He is a prof at a university and never once mentioned speech codes, hate speech rules or any of the university rules that literally force all non-leftist positions off campus.

          NO prof. who believes in freedom of speech could fail to mention that.
