  2. The Congress is irrelevant in the scenario. It’s the Senate that decides and Senate Democrats are at a loss. They want to remain loyal to the Party but know they will most probably lose their seat in the upcoming 2020 election resulting in a super-Trump takeover come November.

    • No offensive mean but the Senate is one of the two houses of the Congress. The Senate was meant to be the House of Congress that looked after the rights of the States and the House of Representatives wes meant to look after the rights of the people. Originally the Senators were appointed by the State Legislatures and they had to keep them happy or lose their jobs. Back in the early part of the 20th Century the left sold the idea that the Senators should be elected by the vote. Once that amendment passed and was ratified the left started chipping away at the rights of the States.

    • Once again no offensive meant. The vote that was taken was in the Judiciary committee in the House of Representatives, the vote was long party line vote and the vote was to recommend that the fulll House vote on a Bill of Impeachment. The full House hasn’t voted yet.

      The members of the House serve for 2 years and all of them are up for re-election every two years. There are 31 Democrats in the House that were elected in 2018 in districts that Trump carried by double digits in 2016 so they are in danger if they vote for impeachment.

      The members of the Senate serve for 6 years and one third are up for re-election every 2 years. Since the Republicans hold the majority in the Senate and it only takes 51 votes to acquit the President it is pretty much a given that Trump will be acquitted in any trial. Any Democrat Senator that is up for re-election in a State that Trump carried easily in 2016 will have to think long and hard before voting to convict.

      Right now the Dems are praying that the Senate refuses to hold the trial because if there is a trial Trump can call witnesses who will show how he did nothing. He can also call people Adaiff and prove that he manipulated the rules so the Republicans couldn’t put up any type of defense. That will hurt the Democrats and will probably cost them control of the House and lose a lot of seats in the Senate.

      Either way there is a 70% chance or better that at the end of the trial or decision not to hold a trial one side or the other will start a civil war. The group “Bikers for Trump” are almost all vets and they are swearing that if he is kicked out of office they will roll (march) on DC. I expect that he will be acquitted and the left will turn to violence, probably starting with riots and increase the violence until they reach the terror attacks of bombs and mass shootings and targeted assassinations of Republican politicians and the people who support them. I know too much history want that to happen but it is coming to all Western Nations. Look at the mini riots in Britain think about the protests/riots when Trump is acquitted and then re-elected.

      • When R. B. Ginsburg is pronunced dead, it’ll get messy. Let’s hope it’s after Nov. 2020.

        Unless we’re as flabby as the enemedia-poisoned soyboys, we don’t have to take it. The more we tolerate domestic terrorists, the more things escalate. We call out the Nat’l Guard and that’s it.

        • The left in Virginia is threatening to call out the Guard to arrest the police that won’t seize firearms and seize the firearms. I don’t think the Guard will accept that order but if they do it will be time for the Squirrel Hunters militia aka the unorganized militia to what they did in 1775 on Concord Green.

            I never gave a second thought about the reliability of my State’s Guard. Could it have fallen off the Left Edge?!

            Not if they’re like the police around here. Terrific, totally different from the politicians. I wonder about those giving them orders, though. Think of the NYPD, what they endure under the likes of {spit} De Blasio {spit}.
