Sayyid Qutb, the Islamic scholar said: “This legal formulation is based on the principle that Islam—that is, submission to God— is a universal Message which the whole of mankind should accept or make pease with. No political system or material power should put hindrances in the way of preaching Islam. It should leave every individual free to accept or reject it, and if someone wants to accept it, it should not prevent him or fight against him. If someone does this, then it is the duty of Islam to fight until either he is killed or until he declares submission”.

    • That’s the way it was spread through India. I’ll bet it’s not taught that way in India’s schools though.

  6. In 1987 I walked into a mosque to ask a few questions. I walked down a long hall trying the locked doors, finally I opened one and to my surprise saw women sitting in a circle on the floor, they were all covered up. A man sat on a high stool in the middle of the circle. He very quickly came over to me and used his finger to indicate he wanted me out in the hall, he kept walking toward the door and pointing his finger to the exit. When we reached the door he opened it and told me to leave and not to come back. He was rude, maybe it was my T-shirt, my tight blue jeans, my sandals or my long red hair .
    The next day I went to the library and started reading about Islam. I soon discovered the Religion of Pease is not peaceful at all. I have had many conversations with people about Islam and have been called a lot of ugly names for saying anything about it. Most people that I have spoken with have not read the Qur’an or anything else about Islam but all seem to know it is the Religion of Pease. I asked a woman what she thought of stoning and she told me not to be stupid, they don’t do that any more. Now when I talk to people about Islam, I immediately ask if they have read the Qur’an, and tell them to get back to me when they have read it.
    The world has changed an awful lot since the day I walked into the mosque, I wonder where it will end.

  7. I have been telling people to “read the Quran” for well over ten years now and to my knowledge, not one single person has taken my advice. They all say that there are violent passages in the Bible and that that cancels out anything the Quran might say then they say that only Neo-Nazis would “cherry-pick” the Quran the way I have and they are not Nazis. It is impossible to get people to read the Quran because they do not have the courage to believe the truth and they don’t want to lose their friends and their jobs and their families when they are accused of being extreme right-wing nutbars. Not one person…!
